Actually the time powered hijinks make sense, too, I'll get to the reasons for why in spoiler tags:
You could simply note she came from a very bad future that resulted in a lot of people getting slain, soul-stolen and their souls to be harvested and she was sent to the past to prevent it.
Regardless, its a case of whatever works I guess.
I'll go find an Older-than-Feudalism member of the Potter-world Black Family Tree in the meantime since we know about Tonks' mom Andromeda, fair enough?
Just consider that some guy from the Middle Ages of that bloodline was among the ancestry charts and it'll be good, okay? They never did state the cases for the 3 Sisters with Narcissia, Bellatrix and Andromeda in particular, just that they're cousins to Sirius and Regulus but that's all, didn't they? Here's hoping that it'll be fleshed out in the future.
