Seeing no one was following her Alyssa decided to keep going anyways. She reached the back door within minutes, only to see car smashed in front of it. "Well there goes that exit..." Alyssa said sourly. Everyone must be getting weapons, I thought heard Aura say something about going to the armory... She turned back and took of f jogging toward the armory, when she saw Lee and the Desert Eagle she shouted "What were you thinking?!" Alyssa moved around in search of a good weapon. "This shall do." She said removing a knife from a cabinet.

Alex just stood there amazed and a little paniced. "Well, for all we know, what if Mr. G trapped up here?" She walked around the group of people and then sat down. "If we go anywhere we should find an exit. Cars don't start, so maybe we could find a phone that works? Or get a message some how. What about the planes that fly to the main land?"

Adam Looked at the weapons and sighed, "I think I'll take this and that, and a couple of these, and one of those..." After about a minute, Adam had two hand guns, four throwing knives, one rifle and a pair of gripping gloves.
Gwen didn't bother to look, she had her tools. She plopped down by Alex, "There are a few problems with your ideas. One, not even a cell phone works here. Two, if no one can get in or out, how would we get or give a message. Three, if no one can get out, we can't get on a plane..."

"What do you mean if no one can get out? Obviously the person who trapped us here had to have an escape route to get out, otherwise it wouldn't have worked." Alex said plainly.

"Or maybe," Aura said, pushing ," He didn't escape.
"The mansion's pretty big itself, and half the grounds are within the hedge-fence. They could have just hidden the family somewhere, right?"
Where though?
After a minute, Aura said softly, "I think we ought to check the basement."

Alex nodded. "That's a wonderful idea. Ok, to the basement we go!" She said picking up a dagger and gun.

Feeling rather useless and chastised, Lee sullenly gave the armory a cursory search, and disconnected a loop of steel wire from one of the bindings on the suits of armor. Twining it around his fingers, he followed the rest of the group down the the basement.
When they opened the door to the basement, what they found there was pitch blackness. Lee walked back into the hallway, and, taking down one of the lamps from the wall, lit it with a match.

"That's not enough light. Anyone got a flash light?" Alex asked.

"Nope," Aura muttered, brushing her hand against what she thought was the wall. At the same time, gunshots rang out.
"Move!" Aura cried, ducking and fumbling for the door and leaping out of the basement and struggling up the stairs. The gunshots followed them and Aura flicked out two knives, trying to see where the gunman was shooting from. Bullets grazed her in two places and she leapt behind the banister and ran for safety in another room.
"Are you guys ok?"

Alex nearly dodged a bullet to her head, but nodded. "We found em." She said. She took her gun and clicked off the safety.

"Yea, but let's not get into anything yet...ow. Where's Lee?" Aura muttered, ripping the curtains nearby to bind her injuries.

"Still with you guys," Lee huffed, stumbling a couple of feet behind them, unharmed. "I tripped over something in the basement and had a hard time getting out."
He looked back down the hallway to the basement. "It doesn't seem like they're following us... wait, who tracked blood over here?" His eyes traced the bloody footsteps to his own feet.
