October 22nd
Albaine: *wanders out carrying Evan*
Evan: =D *enjoying the ride*
Ryo: *Walks out a in brown hoodie featuring Gimli from "Lord of the Rings" and carrying a bag or toys. Smiles when he spots Albaine, waves*
Albaine: *waves back* Hello.
Evan: *wiggles, wondering who it is this time* ^^
Ryo: *Walks over to join Albaine* I must admit, I was confused when Shino told me that you needed toys. *Eyes Evan while smiling in his usual friendly manner* And I am rather surprised to find you with an egg *Offers up the bag of blocks and stuffed animals*
Albaine: *nods, understanding the surprise* Sara found him a little while ago and gave him to me to take care of. *takes the bag* Thank you.
Evan: ^^ *doesn't recognize this voice, but thinks he sounds friendly*
Ryo: A Pokemir? *Scans the clearing for his daughter, who was right behind him*
Albaine: I think so. I'm not sure what kind though.
Ryo: Have you asked one of the humans? Or perhaps one of the Pokemir? *Frowns when he sees no sign of Shino*
Albaine: *shakes his head* No, not yet. I probably should though. *tilts his head and looks around* Looking for Shino? Or her brother?
Ryo: Shino, Nyo stayed home with Kevin...
Shino: *Trots in as happy as can be, completely covered in mud*
Ryo: Either we're being invaded by mud monsters or I just found her
Albaine: Ah. *raises an eyebrow at Shino's new appearance* Looks like the mud monsters attacked her. *holds back a comment that she must've won since she looks happy*
Shino: *Trots up her dad and Albaine while grinning* Hi =D
Ryo: Hmm *Strokes his cheek in a thoughtful manner while staring down at Shino* That certainly sounds like Shino, but it looks nothing like her. *Looks to Albaine* What do you think?
Shino: *Flicks an ear in confusion before giggly* It's me daddi!
Albaine: *waves at Shino and nods in response to Ryo's question* I still say she looks like she beat up a mud monster. *wonders if Evan's going to play in the mud too*
Evan: *wiggles* =D
Shino: Beat up by a mud monster? No *Grins* I found a puddle
Ryo: Yep, that's my daughter *Crouches down and holds his arms out to Shino*
Shino: *Grins and happily pounces into Ryo's arm, curling into him and getting mud all over his hoodie*
Ryo: *Stands again* So what's your young one's name?
Albaine: His name's Evan.
Ryo; Your human tell you he was a boy?
Shino: *Trying in vain to wipe the mud off her face*
Albaine: *nods* She told me when she handed him to me.
Ryo: I wonder how the humans know. If they do ultrasounds to... *Trails off when he realizes Shino is still there* check
Shino: *Waves at the egg* Hi Evan! =D
Albaine: They probably do. Either that or they just have that ability, sort of like a power.
Evan: =D *wiggles to "wave" back*
Ryo: I found that disturbing, though the humans tend to be disturbing all on there own
Shino: Oh! I think he said hi to me =D
Albaine: They can be. I find them more annoying than disturbing personally. Might just be my own human though. *at Shino* I think he did too. *wonders how much eggs can understand*
Evan: ^^
Ryo: Yours has probably never dressed you up as a shepardess
Shino: I want him to hatch so I can play with him =D
Albaine: Definitely not. She even told me that she 'doesn't want to see that' in reference to me cross dressing. *thankful for that, and looks at Evan* Still not sure when he's going to hatch. Might be soon though.
Evan: *wiggles* =)
Shino: I hope so, I want a little friend to play with
Ryo: I wish my human was more like yours
Albaine: I'd probably wish for the same thing if I were in your shoes.
I like to butt into conversations and share embarrassing information though.
biggrin Albaine: ...that's still better than making me crossdress.
Ryo: I don't think Ishie has ever done that before
I can start doing it 8D
Sharing the little dark secrets of your life
Ryo: *Ignores Ishie* Do you think you will be able to handle fatherhood?
Albaine: *looks at Evan* I think so. Better than my own father at least. *wonders if he'll be able to be as good of a parent as his mother was*
Evan: *sure that he will do just fine* ^^
Ryo: Was your father not a good man?
Shino: *Yawns as she lightly dozes in Ryo's arms*
Albaine: *shakes his head* No.
Evan: *starts dozing off himself*
Ryo: *Smiles in a sympathetic manner, but doesn't press since well, there are kids present. Plus he figures if Albaine wanted to tell him, he'd do it on his own* I'm sure you'll do fine, as long as you manage to keep a hold on your patience. *Looks down at Shino and rocks her* No matter the trials, they always seem to make it worth while in the end.
Albaine: Patience will be something I'll have to work on. *can't really imagine him having the patience to deal with a child*
Ryo: *Nods* If you find yourself having issues with that, a reliable baby sitter is always a good thing to have on call
Albaine: *doubts he could find a babysitter he trusts enough and is willing on such short notice* Or I could bring him here to see if there are any other kids for him to play with.
Ryo: *Nods* But when coming to the clearing, it can be a challenge to keep an eye on the child. Plus here, you have to bank on your luck and hope there's no Namrah with ill intentions lurking about
Albaine: ...true. *also thinks about the possibility that the clearing could be empty at the time that he wants a break*
Ryo: It's always good to get a good vantage point *Referring to how he usually spends his break time in trees*
Albaine: Least I'm not scared of heights, so that won't be a problem. *would find it very amusing if he was*
Ryo: *Nods in agreement* Then there's another thing you'll have to take into account
Albaine: Getting down in time? I should be alright with that. *probably wouldn't perch more than 15 feet away from Evan*
Ryo: *Shakes his head* If he's a Pokemir, he's going to have powers
Albaine: Oh, right. *looks at Evan* ...I'm not really sure what sorts of powers he'll have.
Ryo: You may have to get yourself acquainted in the Pokemir world, in case his powers aren't the kind he can handle on his own and the kind you can't assist him with. He may need a teacher.
Albaine: ...might help to learn what he is from a Pokémir too. So I can figure out what element he is.
Ryo: *Nods in agreement* That too
Albaine: Come to think of it, I had a teacher for pretty much the same thing too. My uncle. *wonders how many other coincidences will pop up*
Ryo: He taught you about your powers?
Albaine: *nods* I didn't even know I had powers until I went to stay with him when I turned 12.
Ryo: *Cocks his head* If you don't mind me asking, what can you do?
Albaine: Well, before I came here I could teleport and turn into an animal. Now I can still teleport, but I have to wait a minute inbetween teleports and I can only teleport about 10 feet.
Ryo: So your powers were toned down upon your arrival? Do you believe that is caused by the island itself? Or from your death?
Albaine: Probably the island. I know someone who didn't die to get here and she lost one of her abilities.
Ryo: *Nods in understanding* I had thought as much. I wonder what causes it
Albaine: Might be something in the environment that represses them.
Ryo: I am not sure how I would handle having it removed
Albaine: I wouldn't know where to start to be honest. I only know about the idea from Blazon. Apparently some psychics have been stranded before because of it.
Albaine: *nods*
Ryo: For some, it can be a blessing
Albaine: I don't doubt that. There are those who are physically incapable of controlling their powers. *listing one example*
Ryo: There is that *Looks to the sky to gauge the time, then back down at the sleeping Shino* I should get her home. I hope you have a good evening *Nods in good bye before turning to head home*
Albaine: *nods and waves* Have a good night.
* * *
Albaine: *sits beneath a tree, watching Evan*
Evan: *napping* ^^
Lillian: *gliding over the grass like a penguin, lost in her own thoughts* ..... *doesn't pay attention to her path until she smacks into the back of Albaine's tree* OW! *tears in her eyes and she holds her head*
Evan: O_O *wonders what that was*
Albaine: *looks behind the tree* ...somebody wasn't paying attention.
Lillian: No... no I was not... *finding her horn now stuck in the trunk* Aaaand, now I'm stuck....
Albaine: *raises an eyebrow* How did you manage that? *wonders if she's a bit slow* Use your paws to push against the tree and get it out.
Lilly: *grunts* Unfortunately, I have no hind legs to really dig in....
Albaine: *rolls his eyes a bit and places his hand on her head, and teleports the both of them about half a foot away from the tree* There. *removes his hand* Next time be more careful.
Lillian: *blinks, looking up at Albaine, then smiles warmly* Thank you very much, sir!
Albaine: Uh huh. *nods and goes to sit beneath the tree again*
Lilly: *follows him* My name is Lillian, by the way. Everyone calls me Lilly though, even my mum
Albaine: *wonders why she's following him* Okay...? I'm Albaine.
Lillian: *simply being friendly* How can I repay you for your kindness?
Albaine: You already did. You said thank you.
Lilly: *smiles brightly* Simply saying it isn't enough!
Albaine: ...it's not? *wonders how to get rid of her*
Lilly: *nods* My mother raised me that way
Albaine: *thinks* ... *pulls a random block out of the bag* Appraise this block. *not planning on selling it, but just wants her out of his hair*
Lilly: *stares at the block dumbly* Uh...... *looks up at him in a confused manor* pardon?
Albaine: Appraise it. If I were to sell this, how much could I get?
Lilly: I... I really don't know... what is it?
Albaine: It's a block of wood.
neutral Lilly: And... why would you sell it? Who would by it? *trying to figure it out*
Albaine: ... *refrains from a sarcastic "who
wouldn't buy it?" and tries to come up with a good reason* ...it's fun for kids to play with?
Lilly: *gently picks it up and holds it in her paws, then sniffs it a little* .... priceless.... I'm sure it caries many memories *looks up at him with gentle eyes* Am I right?
Albaine: *resists the urge to facepalm* Er...yes. You are absolutely correct. Thank you. *wonders if she'll leave now*
Lilly: *sees the egg* Oh! *slids by him to get a better look*
Albaine: *blinks and thinks to ask her what she's doing while hiding Evan away, then notices something* ...you're a Pokémir, aren't you?
Evan: ...? *snuggles into Albaine's arms, picking up on the protectiveness he felt*
Lilly: *shakes her head* No, I couldn't possibly know. I, unfortunately, don't know much about the pokemir side of me aside from I have powers.... I could see if my mother knows though, she's quite knowledgeable on these matters....
Albaine: Eh, thanks anyway. You don't have to bother your mother about it, I'll just ask one of the Pokémir at the house. *goes back to holding him protectively, and wonders when she'll leave*
Evan: *snuggles again*
Lilly: *blushes a little* May I... hold the egg? *smiles shyly*
Albaine: *shakes his head* No. I don't know you. For all I know you could be planning to take off with him.
Lilly: *tilts her head* Why would I do that....? I don't even have a mate, it would be pointless for me to take him.....
Albaine: And how am I supposed to know that you don't have a mate?
neutral Like I said, I don't know you in the least. Thus, I can't trust you.
Lilly: *looks rather hurt* Oh, I see.... I'm sorry you feel like you can't trust me. *looks up at him, searching his eyes*
Albaine: *raises an eyebrow* Why are you apologizing for that? It's hardly your fault that I don't trust anyone right off the bat.
Lilly: *still staring at Albaine* .... You're kinda like my mom...... It's wiiiiierd.
Albaine: ...okay? *fails to see what that has to do with anything, and honestly thinks that someone who was raised by someone who didn't hand out trust would understand the fact that trust is something to be earned*
Lilly: I mean... I see the same sort of reflections in your eyes that I see sometimes in my mum's eyes when she's thinking back...
Albaine: *wonders why the hell she's reading his eyes* So?
Lilly: Where you hurt by someone? *completely bluntly*
Albaine: If somebody has gone through life without having anyone ever hurting them I'd say that they're a lucky minority.
neutral *trying to deflect the question*
Lilly: .... You've been hurt badly if you feel you have to avoid my question like that *looks saddened* I'm sorry someone did that to you. You seem like a really nice guy, so it's a real shame....
Albaine: ....hm. *stands up* I'm off. Night. *walks off with Evan and the bag of toys, walking to the other end of the clearing*
Evan: *sleeping*
Kara: *walks out, holding Chalybs*
Albaine: *spots "Tomoe"* Oh, hello. *waves*
Kara: *waves* Hi. *walks over to sit/stand beside him*
Albaine: How're you?
Kara: As well as can be expected. You?
Albaine: Eh. I'm alright. *thinks that overall his day's been a pretty good one*
Kara: *tilts her head slightly* Did something . . . happen? *delicately*
Albaine: Not really. Nothing
bad. I just don't understand why strangers intuitive enough to tell that someone hasn't led a great life aren't intuitive enough to know that bringing something like that up is rude and unnecessary.
Kara: Ah. You are referring to the difference between intelligence and common sense. A somewhat gray area, to be sure.
Albaine: I would have to agree with that. Just because someone is smart doesn't mean they have common sense.
Kara: *nods* And vice-versa as well. Also, for some, curiosity may simply outweigh whatever sense they may possess.
Albaine: *finds that sort of curiosity quite annoying* Like I'm going to tell a stranger my life story. I haven't even told
you.
Kara: *shrugs, lightly* To be quite fair, I haven't asked either. *pauses a moment, thinking she hasn't told him anything about herself either* Though that might not be as relevant.
Albaine: I'll probably tell you on my own eventually. *shrugs* When and if I feel like it.
Kara: *nods* Being
why I haven't asked.
Albaine: And it's why I generally don't ask you such things either. If you want to tell me you will.
Kara: *dryly* I find it rather unlikely that I will. Habits, you know.
Albaine: Doesn't bother me. There's no requirement for me to know it as far as I'm aware.
Kara: And after all, I've only know you less than a year. *grins* Which wouldn't be a problem if there were any excellent fights on this island . . . but you know, peaceful anarchy and all.
Albaine: *nods* Yep, it's a peaceful anarchy alright. And if anything things have settled down
more as time goes on.
Kara: *sighs* And if I don't eventually find someone I can at least spar with, I'm going to go
insane.Albaine: Maybe someone who enjoys fighting will come to the island? You never know. *guessing that maybe one of the Pokémir might enjoy it*
Kara: I live in hope.
Albaine: *nods* Well, I should probably get going. *waves* Have a good night. *heads off home*
Evan: *still sleeping* ^^
