Having apparently fallen asleep half-off the bench, Kadin gathered himself and looked around in a lazy manner. No one would have had the common courtesy to wake him u-...

"Son of a b***h!"
While looking around, he noticed his rifle was gone. He checked under the damaged bench, behind it, and scanned the immediate area in a final attempt. Thoroughly pissed off at this point, Kadin pulled his last, half empty box of ammo from his bag and threw it in in fury at the ground.

He had hardly a second of clear thought, but he checked the small of his back his kukri was still in its sheathe along the back of his waist.

"Way to dodge karma, there..."

Clidus walked into his favorite bar to find it in shambles and dead bodies littered the floor. His fox, Tassle, walked daintily in and nearly fainted. "What happened here?" Her thin voice got the bartender's attention and he looked up from the cup he was cleaning. "A barfight. The worst I've ever seen. There was a death knight, a necromancer, a werewolf and a girl with a huge dog the size of a horse and a scyth." Clidus laughed. "Well, Tassle, we found Rave." Tassle gasped and climbed up his leg. "And that means Vieken!" Clidus laughed again. "I don't understand how you can still be crazy for him when he always tries to eat you.' Tassle sniffed, perched on his shoulder. "Love conquers all. I'll win his heart eventually." Clidus just shook his head and walked out of the bar. "If I was a Night Elf who couldn't stand the light and could talk to animals, where would I go?" "The forest of course." He ruffled her head. "Right you are, Tassle." And started walking to the forest. "I remember sending Lark to give Rave a message. She was to plant the seeds. Its midnight, a full moon, i', sure she's done it already. Lets go." Her started running through the woods, Tassle digging her little claws into his shoulders and hanging on for dear life.

After a long time wandering, Talos found himself on the steps of a dilapidated library. Passing between crumbling stone lions, he pushed open the doors with surprising gentleness.

Inside, dust rose into the beams of the almost set sun, motes dancing like gold flecks in this new light. Cobwebs stretched between everything, except for a few clear spaces between the door and desk.

Talos cleared a few more as he made his way to it, dead webs brushing lightly against his steel form. Astoundingly enough, an ancient woman sat in a chair behind the desk, thick glasses turned up in awe at this unusual visitor. Perhaps the awe was not so much his strangeness, he reflected, perhaps it was that there was a customer at all. This library was all but abandoned.

"I Am Looking For Morals," Talos said with his usual clarity.

"Well, um, Philosophies are just down here," replies the librarian as she reaches for a dim lantern with a wrinkled hand. Shaking slightly, she shuffles deeper into the dark building, and Talos follows behind. Stopping at an aisle, she attempts to reach a hanging lantern to light it, but it's out of reach. After a moment, Talos takes it down and holds it for her while she moves some of the flame into it.

"Just uh, please keep everything tidy. I'll be at the desk if you need me."

Talos nods, and makes his way to the aisle. He pulls the first five books from the shelf, and opens the first.

Meryl sat on the wooden bench, hand keeping her head up as she yawned. She tapped her long staff against the ground, the gentle noise it created the only thing keeping her from going insane from boredom. This blasted machine had been walking around for hours, and not a single bit of fun or understanding had come from it. At least not from her point of view, anyways. She stood up and stretched, most of the streets empty due to the time of night. Night. A sudden feeling of power came over her, a wide grin spreading across her face. Nobody in this town knew where Frenzi was, but she knew he had been here. She knew that some fancy warrior was supposed to be with him from the Order, maybe she could lure them here...

She moved near-silently from the building Talos was in, moving into a window of a nearby inn. "Maybe a little chaos is in order!" She said loudly with a snarl. The innkeeper came out in his greasy clothing, waving about a stick. "We're closed, get outta here!" He said bluntly, staying behind the counter. "Tempting, deary, truly tempting, but I need your help." She said gently, strolling up the the man and placing a finger under his chin. He grinned slightly, dropping his stick so he could move his hands upward. But he never got a chance to move much at all, Meryl's eyes glowing green. His skin strapped to his bones, nought a scream able to escape his lips under the pressure. His eyes disappeared, the twisted marionette standing before Meryl, twitching consistently. "Now, bring me an army!" She commanded, casting the zombie out to kill the remainder of those staying in the inn, and bring her the bodies. If she made herself an army, maybe she would be worthy enough when she finally met Frenzi!

Meryl laughed loudly, her maniacal tone echoed by the drab tones of the ever-increasing number of undead at her beck and call. She drained another townsperson as the maiden struggled in the grasp of Meryl's powerful minions. "And yet another at my command!" Her soft voice stated coldly. Her seductive stance poorly demonstrated her potential as a powerful necromancer, as she was one of the few that still had her looks about her. She sensed that some of the slaves were having trouble entering a small eatery, a couple of crafty survivors barricading themselves inside. "Oh, well that's no fun!" She said with a cute chuckle, raising her bone staff high above her head. "Come, Abomination! Show these pathetic beings the true power of the undead!" She said, her staff moving downwards. Unfortunately, the staff merely bounces off the soft Earth with a loud pop, a small flash of light the only thing that had apparently happened. She grunted stubbornly, raising her staff again and slamming it into the Earth. Again, she faulted to higher-level summoning spell, and only a loud pop and bright light emanating from the impact point. Third time is the charm, as it would seem, her staff moving straight through the ground as if the solid gravel was water. A small rumbling rolled from the entry point as Meryl struggled to raise her staff again. She pulled frantically, her strength hardly enough to raise the Abomination that resided in the plane from which it was being dragged. After a moment more of intense struggling, Meryl finally succeeded in pulling the Abomination far enough from it to pull itself up. She laughed sadistically as the easily 12 foot tall beast rose to full height, making the ground quake with every step it took. Tearing the roof off of the eatery, the Abomination brutally cast the patrons out into the street, the lesser minions taking care of them easily.

Deep in the dark recesses of the library, Talos worked his way steadily towards the end of the aisle. He already knew how to read, and he could absorb information far faster than a human. Inside his massive steel chest, a roll of parchment, a hundred yards long, was being written on by a minuscule pen. Tiny handwriting etched out what he was learning, embedding in his memory what he needed to know.

Behind him, the once sloppy books were standing in perfect order, straight up and at even depths. Ahead, only a quarter of the shelf left. Talos proceeded on, a knowledge woodchipper.

Meryl's army swept their way across the town like a plague, her numbers growing vastly with every section of the town was raided for units. It was only a matter of time before the library was the target, shambling corpses pounding on the heavy door, trying to break it down, before the misguided librarian mistakingly opened it for them, not quite thinking as clearly as she could so long ago. They limped after her, her elderly body only barely being able to surpass the speed of the corpses. She came upon Talos and hid behind him, too far consumed by fear to speak. The sickening sound of bone grinding against bone accompanied the gurgling and squishing noises of flesh being compressed as the shambles expanded their reach further into the library.

Hydraulics groan as Talos' metal digits close around the edge of a bookshelf. A moment's pause is all the horde gets as he runs a calculation of force and trajectory. With speed unexpected, the entire shelf is lifted from the floor and swung like a club, smacking aside corpses like ragdolls. The swing is strange and ends in an unusual twist of Talos' wrist.

The result is a total elimination of momentum, and Talos sets the wooden backed shelf back down. Without spilling a single book.

He sets onto the horde with iron fists, mechanical force pulverizing the shambling zombies. The pressure of the swarm moving in is great, but the crunches of Talos' blows nearly drown out the moans, and soon he begins pressing them back.

As the ranks thin even further, Talos' right hand reaches over his shoulder and pulls free the zanbato slung across his back. It flashes through the crowd in an unstoppable swipe, cutting through or at the very least crunching through spines and flesh.

Footsteps thundering like a tempest, Talos steps into the sun. Chaos is rampant throughout the city as the few surviving citizens flee and fight the undead. He had learned much in the musty row of books, but now Talos' saw what was necessary. With a snap of his hydraulic wrist, the gore is flung from his blade, and he sets about his work.

The zombies didn't stand a chance.

Vieken barreled into town, skidding to a halt. Cas and Ree were thrown off, both of them rolling to their knees, the knife Falling out of Cas's hands. "What was that about, mutt?" Vieken just growled and stepped over them, sniffing the air. There were almost no living townspeople, althought the ground was littered with the dead. Clidus ran up, puffing, to the girls and help them up. "You're going to need you hands for this." He cut them free, but gave them no weapons. "Stay by me or you'll die." They nodded and followed him, Cas pausing long enough to scoop the knife off the ground. She smiled at Varus, showing him her freed hands.

Aden slowly ambled into town. He hefted his pack farther up on his back and looked around at the brightly lit scenery, if one could really call it that. The town was completely deserted, at least from the place he entered. He squinted through the brightness of the midday sun, trying to find some form of live, but nothing moved. A slight breeze blew from behind him, pushing his short brown hair forward onto his face and making his black robe create a flapping noise in the silence.

He slowly stepped forward, his hands going straight for the spell books he kept in his pack. He pulled out a small, black one and opened it up to a certain page.

“Pario a Mucro,” he said softly. A soft, yellow light appeared before his black boots. It soon widened its radius into a glowing, yellow circle. From this circle, a long, elegant sword rose from the ground. He reached out to it and grasped it, weighing it in his hands before closing the book, causing the circle to instantly disappear.

“Might as well be safe out here,” he said to himself. “This town just doesn’t seem right.”

He slowly walked through what seemed to be the main thoroughfare of the town, keeping his eyes alert to any sudden movements. His pack never really felt heavy, which was always a good thing, because it would have seriously hindered his movement with a blade if it had been.

Out of the corner of his eye he spotted a grisly sight off to the left. A group of deformed humans had gathered around a relatively un-deformed human and were in the process of tearing the victim limb from limb.

“Hey!” He shouted at the crowd. They immediately stopped what they were doing and turned around. That was when he got a good look at what he was facing. He was looking at 5 pale-skinned, gaze-less, zombies.

Aden stood stock-still, shocked at what he was looking at. He knew that there were some people who could do that type of magic. Necromancers, he believed they were called. He had learned that in his studies with his master. He never actually believed he would come face to face with the product of these people. He didn’t know what to do. He didn’t really want to take on 5 zombies by himself, but he was alone. There was nobody there around to help him.

It seemed the zombies made up Aden’s mind for him. The 5 of them rushed at him, looking for a fresher meal than their previous prey. As the first got within range of Aden, he swung his sword and managed to somehow decapitate it. The body stood still for a second, the head flying off somewhere, and fell to the ground.

Aden backed up ready for the next four to attack him. He managed to disembowel the next two that got to him but the second set managed to get a good bite on each arm. He kicked at them as hard as he could and easily got them to let go. With a quick swipe of his sword, they joined the rest of the group.

Aden fell to a knee as he looked at the damage the teeth had done to him. It wasn’t too bad, not as bad as the pain was making him believe. Crimson blood slowly dribbled down his right arm; it seemed to have taken a harder his than the left one.

He dug around in his pack for his healing spells and pulled it out.

“Vigoratus meus vulnus,” he said through his clenched teeth. He watched in awe as the skin closed up and the bleeding stopped. He replaced the book in his bag and quickly ran into the center of town, near the library.

This scene was one hundred times worse than when he had entered the town. At least one hundred zombies or more were running rampant in the street, clawing at innocent bystanders as they ran for their lives. He saw ahead of him a huge mechanical golem killing ranks of undead with a swipe of his huge arm.
He decided that was as good a place as any to start helping out the able-bodied people get rid of their pest problem and he ran somewhat over to the golem, but not too close as to get accidentally swiped by a metal arm.

((Sorry it's a really long post guys. I think I had to somewhat introduce him, since he did really come in all alone anyway. But luckily, I got him near someone I can actually talk with so I don't think I'll have to make huge posts like this very often.))

((Pfft, as if we'd complain with quality posts like that, keep it up!))

Meryl grunted as she turned away from a few of her minions, the link between her minions and herself suddenly decreasing in number. That blasted tin can was tearing through her army! The nerve of the thing!"Oh, but what's this?" She asked herself in her deceptively innocent-sounding voice. There was another by Talos, a young man, by the looks of it. He looked like a pure soul, too. But that behemoth certainly would cut her down if she got close, maybe it was time to introduce him to her Abomination...

As if sensing her thoughts, the Abomination roared, turning around as the shock from the vocals shattered the windows on the house laid before him. He charged forwards, unhindered by the splintering wood as he smashed through the building, the very tip of it barely reaching his stomach. He looked around, setting his sights on the metal warrior, barreling towards it, jolting shakes of Earth accompanying each step.

Meryl was sure this would be enough to occupy the golem, and set her own sights on the newcomer, clearing her throat and running out into the open, in clear view of the man. "No! Stay back! Someone, please, help me!" She shouted, tripping, and crawling backwards, fear playing on her face as her minions shambled towards her.

As he helped out the huge golem, he heard the cries of a lone woman getting swarmed by the zombies. He found her almost instantly; she was dressed in a long, dark cape, white hair flitting this way and that with each turn of her head. He quickly ran over and beheaded a zombie naught five feet from where she stood.

“Don’t worry ma’am, I’m here to help you,” he grunted as he fought off another of the undead beasts with his decorated sword. The enemies seemed endless as he beat off one after the other. Finally, a roar from a street or two down froze everything in their tracks. A huge beastly demon-like creature burst through a wooden house close by him and ran straight for the metallic golem he had been helping out just a few minutes before.

“Dang, that is one huge demon,” Aden gasped and then quickly snapped back to reality when a zombie went and clawed his chest. Anger welled up in his eyes and he threw his sword into the closest undead creature. He noticed that he and the woman were completely surrounded by the zombies. With a flash, he grabbed a book from his pack; almost instantly the pages started flipping like a gust of wind was blowing them to a certain page.

“Incendia!” Aden shouted as the pages suddenly stopping moving. A large, red circle appeared underneath him and the woman. A wall of flames roared up around the edge of the circle and spread outwards, incinerating any zombie within a 30-foot radius.

“Now that that is out of the way,” Aden sighed, a little exhaustion creeping into the tone of his voice. The powerful spell had taken a little out of him, he could easily go on, but he would have to lay off those heavy spells for now. “The name’s Aden, nice to meet you…”

((No problem for me it seems. ^^ ))

Vieken tilted his head as he heard the sounds of a battle. Not waiting for the others, he started running, growing as big as a large horse, with huge claws, fangs, and horns. He thundered right through the zombies, not even pausing as he crashed through a wall of undead. Bodies were crushed under his paws, other ripped to shreds or bitten in half. Rave was on her way and he intended to make this place safe for her, no matter the cost.

Clidus ran after Vieken, stopping when he saw the zombies. "Stay here, and don't draw attention to yourselves." He handed a small knife to Ree, knowing that Cas had somehow gotten her hands on one, then pulled out his own knife and the two daggers Rave had given him. He placed the longest in his mouth, then joined the wolf hound in the action.

Cas and Ree stood back to back, in a tag team fighting stance, with thier daggers out. Both of them kept one eye on the fight and another on Krowly and Varus. Cas was a little excited, and it infected her sister. "We get to see those boys in action." She grinned and as one, they moved closer to the fight.
