Lyra frowned and kept her gaze on the stranger...Gabriel. Great, another person to attempt to get used to. She allowed her gaze to shift only briefly to Lucid and sighed, not really sure if she wanted to uncurl from her position or not. Deciding it might be better if she was at least sitting up instead of laying flat on her side she'd have a better chance of moving if this Gabriel did choose to try something. Pushing herself up, she scooted back until the cool stone of the wall pressed against her back. Bringing her knees up to her chest she wrapped her arms around her legs and lay her chin upon them, studying this Gabriel intently. She found it odd that he had kissed Lucid's forehead but said nothing. She didn't think Lucid had intentionally lied but he had said there was no else down here...granted that had been a few hours ago. But she didn't recall this man being let into the castle. She frowned when she felt something wet against her mouth ad touched the corner of her lip with her tongue only to taste blood. Great, she'd bitten through her bottom lip...again. She had a bad habit of doing that, but pain often drove away fear, and allowed her to think at least with a little clarity. Brushing back her long back hair, she turned her gaze to Lucid, not really sure of anything any longer, except that she was hungry and once again afraid. One would think that she would have experienced fear enough for it to be harder to take hold of her...ha...wrong. If anything it seemed to take hold of her more easily than ever, she was definitely becoming paranoid, but hey, better to be safe than sorry right? She would say right but she felt as if she were nothing but a burden to Lucid, one that he constantly has to look after and protect and she didn't want that...maybe...maybe it would be best if she left. Lost in her thoughts, Lyra had no idea how much her eyes, just her eyes showed about her thoughts and emotions. She had always had to worry about controlling her face, and making it appear devoid of any emotion, but her captors preferred to keep her blind folded, so she had never had to worry about her eyes giving anything away.

Gabriel glanced at the woman, his golden gaze taking in every inch of her face. She wasn't bad to look at. Not really. Of course, he had also just spent nearly one hundred years amongst vampires, who prided themselves on being the most beautiful creatures on earth. A lot of vampires were, if his master was any evidence. But this female wasn't bad. He shifted his gaze back to Lucid, an look of understanding in his eyes.
"Yes, of course, Master." he said, his voice still quiet. He sat down beside Lucid on the bed, taking the vampires hand into his own. He laced their fingers together for a moment and squeezed gently, then pulled his hand away.

Lucid closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the, brief as it was, feel of Gabriel's hand in his own. Perhaps his pet had been away for too long. They had much to catch up on. But for now, he wanted some decent rest.
"Gabriel, take Lyra with you and go get something to eat. She is probably hungry and I can feel your own hunger." he said, his voice sounding tired even to him. "I need a bit more sleep, then we can catch up to each other."

Sin had passed through the skies endlessly and soon noticed the sun had gone to bed and the moon was soon expected out to play. He descended and found the castle of Dark Haven. He landed on one of the flag masts and soon made his way into the room of the tallest tower of the castle. He had seen no one occupying the room and soon saw a bed. His eyes began to feel heavy and he dropped his sword making a metallic sound that echoed through out the domain. He ploped on the bed and soon was off into his psychotic dreams once again.

Gabriel nodded. He'd not wanted to disturb his masters much needed rest. He found that at times, he could run for days on just a few hours. He stood, rising up from the bed in one fluid movement. His gaze flicked to the female.
"Come along then." he said in a pleasant tone. He had no issue with this woman thus far. He was actually hungry and knew exactly where the food was. He also wanted a drink. Turning, he strode for the stairwell again. He paused at the opening of the corridor though, to wait for the female.

Lyra's eyes widened and she shook her head rapidly from side to side. Go...willing with this golden haired stranger, yeah right.
"No...I'll be alright, I'm not hungry anyways. I'd just like to go back to sleep as well...I can go to my own room if you'd like." she added looking up at Lucid with haunted eyes. Licking her lips nervously, she frowned as the taste of blood settled on her tongue once more. Quickly pushing that aside she stayed pressed back against the wall, as far away from Gabriel as she could go without getting off the bed. Her lip would stop bleeding eventually, until then she had other things to worry about, like the fact that Lucid had just told...his...pet, she thought he'd called, him to take her with him. Her eyes had darkened to a deep brown, nearly black and the light from the flames caused light to flicker in their depths. Her eyes were dark with a mixture of fear, sorrow, and a plea for understanding. When Gabriel rose she followed his movement across the room with her eyes but made no move to follow him.

Lucid watched his pet leave the bed, then turned to look at Lyra. He wasn't surprised to find fear in her eyes. He heaved a small sigh, putting an arm around her.
"Go on, Gabriel. I will send for you when she is more willing to go." he said softly, hugging the girl to him gently. "There will be another man coming to us very soon. His name is Arjay. I expect you to treat him with the same respect you show me." He didn't look to see whether or not his pet nodded, closing his eyes instead. He rested back against the pillows, settling into the light sleep from which he had woken. He trusted that Lyra might do the same, regardless of how hungry she was. It was only hours till dusk now, he could get her food then.

Gabriel simply nodded again. He turned, moving through the short stretch of hallway to get to the stairs then started up the stairs with ease. He though about shifting his wings and flying up the staircase. That almost seemed to be a waste of time for him though and a bit more pain than he felt up to. He stuck to walking. He assumed that his Master would be up very soon. They could talk then. His stomach made an angry sound. It echoed along the stairwell. When he got to the top of the stairs, he turned left, headed for the kitchen. He wanted meat. He knew he might just have to settle with chicken or beef. He supposed it wouldn't matter, meat was meat.

Lucid stirred again after a few more hours of rather peacefull sleep. He had slept with Lyra all cuddled beside him. He looked at her now, the candle light flickering so that shadows danced on her face. She was pretty in this light, looking soft and innocent. He easily slipped to the side, pulling away from her so that he could rise. He couldn't leave her down here in the dark alone. If she woke up that way she might panic. He reached down and brushed gentle fingers down her face, his hand carressing her cheek.
"Lyra, it is time to wake." he said quietly.

Lyra's mind felt as if it were enveloped in a thick fog. She heard the voice saying her name, but it was faint, as if from a great distance. Fighting through the grogginess that held her she forced her eyes open to mere slits, though each lid felt as though it weighed a ton. Her mind slowly brought Lucid into focus causing her body to relax and a soft, sleepy smile to light up her face.
"Already time to rise?" she whispered, blinking a few times, her eyes kept wanting to drift back closed, she had felt warm and safe in her sleep, for once not haunted by the sounds and nightmares that were a mixture of her memories and her own imagination.

Lucid gave her a smile.
"Yes. It is time to get up." he said again, his fingers smoothing her hair gently. "I thought you might be hungry, so I have decided to show you myself where the kitchen is." He pulled his hand away, moving away from the bed. He needed to feed and at that moment, sleep toussled and smiling, she was just too tempting. "Come on." he said, his voice still soft. He moved toward the stairway. One by one, the candles dimmed. He could only assume that the darkness would drive her to his side.

The fading of the light did indeed act as a good motivator to get her a** up and moving. There were several things she could think of that would be worse than being left down here in the dark alone, a victim of her own thoughts and fears but it definitely was on the list of the top twenty things she's rather not do. Forcing herself to wake up a little she sat up and tried to rise way to quickly. For when she pushed to her feet he room darkened and spun around her, causing Lyra to grab onto the bed post at the foot of the bed. Clinging to it for dear life she drew deep, calming breathes and closed her eyes for a moment to ward off the dizziness. When she felt her head settle she allowed her eyes to crack open and squeaked. The room was nearly pitch black once more, all that remained of any kind of light was a flickering one that was a good distance down the pathway that led into the room. Lyra did not even hesitate but she dashed after the fading light, and breathed a sigh of relief when she was close enough to it that she could at least see Lucid's form and the flickering glow of the remaining candles that had yet to fade lighted her path just enough for her to see where she set her feet.

Lucid struggled not to laugh at her. It wouldn't have been very nice of him. Reaching out to her, he paused to offer her his hand.
"There honestly is nothing down here that is going to eat you." he said. "The darkness is nothing to fear. I promise you that." Without waiting for her hand, he reached over and grasped her arm, pulling her gently to him. He slid an arm about her form, holding her to his own. "I gave you my sworn word that as long as you were within the walls of this castle, my magic would protect you. That was not a lie."

Surprised, Lyra looked up to meet his gaze with her own. Pressed against his body as she was, she thought she should have been frightened, but he wasn't, instead she felt safe...and well cared for, even if just a little. That of course was her dreaming but it was nice to pretend that she had someone who actually cared about her for her and not things that she could supposedly do or whatever. She honestly had no idea what the people who were after her wanted with her. Twisted in a way wasn't it? Sighing, she looked down at Lucids chest and a absently played with the collar of the silk shirt. Forcing herself to look back up, she smiled, finding that it was getting easier to hold his gaze with her own.
"I know that, the dark still frightens me though. Ever since I was a child I couldn't stand to be alone in the dark...there was a reason..." she broke off, her eyes darkening and taking on that haunted look for the barest of moments as her smile dimmed and then faded completely. Puzzlement replaced uncertainly so swiftly that she barely even noticed the change. Shaking her head, she frowned, brushing her hair out of her face and tucking it behind her ear to keep it from falling right back down.
"I...don't remember...what made me afraid of the dark." she finished, shrugging one shoulder.
