Naruto nodded happily and grinned. Glancing around at his surroundings he was fairly pleased with what he saw. He expected something horrible, but it wasn't.
It had a calming aura about it, Naruto liked it very much. It made him feel happy inside. his vision turned to Itachi and he noticed the other had sped up.
Increasing his speed, naruto made to catch up with Itachi, only to stumble on some rocks. He cursed a graze that appeared on his knee, before turning crimson as Itachi turned raised an eyebrow at him before resuming walking.
Naruto began to hum randomly as he finally caught up with Itachi.

Itachi stopped and waited for Naruto to catch up; the house was just around the next corner and he hoped Naruto liked it. For some reason he didn't know what he would do if Naruto disliked his home.
"We're here," He said clearly and watched as Naruto's head perked up.
The house was styles to match the classic Shinto temples, with a sweeping roof and gated fence. The gardens, though anything from weed free and tidy, were attractive and various fauna dotted amongst the grass.
Itachi walked up to the gate and unlocked it, taking a key from his pocket. There wasn't really any need for the key but it was more the principle. He walked up the gravel path without checking to see Naruto's expression

Naruto's eyes widened in amazement, this was heavenly to him. Living in his run down apartment wasn't exactly the best of places and despite the overgrown plant and such this place was perfect.
Noticing Itachi walk through the gate, he quickened his pace, while still looking at the place with awe in my mind,
"Ne Itachi San, this place is amazing... i am... i don't know what i am...wow is that a pond!" Naruto screamed, noticing a small bit of water coming from around a corner.

Itachi sighed and nodded,
"Kisame decided that we needed some water in the garden... the first attempt flooded the house and its gardens so I took it upon myself to install one... there should still be fish... unless Edward got them..."
At Naruto's puzzled look Itachi continued,
"Edward's a heron..."
Naruto nodded and Itachi looked away, eyes narrowed in slight embarrassment. So what if he wanted to name the heron?

Naruto snickered slightly and noticed Itachi raise an eyebrow at him as to ask what, in response to the silent question he muttered while clutching his sides,
"You named it Edward!" Suddenly Naruto couldn't hold it in anymore and he burst into laughter. Inwardly Naruto was muttering something about being posh and might have well as been some posh country man instead of a konohan.
"And to top it off it's an animal... hehe" Naruto's laughter soon died down. It was obvious Itachi was going to be glaring at him if he dared look the other in the eye.

Itachi was annoyed; he liked the name Edward and he liked the heron. The fact that the heron lived on his land made the bird his (or at least in Itachi's mind) and so he could name the damn animal is he so wished.
"You're just jealous," he muttered, almost inaudibly.
Itachi walked forwards, to the door of the house, and took another key out of his hidden pocket. It slid easily into the lock and he twisted it.
"Welcome to my home."
Itachi sighed; if Naruto didn't like Edward then maybe he should keep the blond away from Helga and Francoise.

Naruto's face kept a blank stare as he followed Itachi into the building, he was quite amazed that it even existed. He didn't beg Itachi to be one to have a 'holiday home' so to speak.
He was happy as long as Itachi hadn't named any other weird animals. Not that Naruto had a problem with animals... just birds and he had good reason to as well... damn buggers stealing his ramen when he's trying to eat it.
"Um... " Naruto trailed off mesmerized.

"It's not much and I don't have half of the rooms decorated fully but it's a place where I can relax. You're welcome to any room aside from the one directly opposite the stairs and the one that is neon blue... you won't miss it."
Itachi looked down the hallway as he heard the slight scrabble of claws on the floor,
"This is Francoise."
The squirrel chittered at the pair for a moment before running forwards and onto Itachi's shoulder,
"He was born in the attic one year and he just decided to stay."
Itachi ignored Naruto's reaction - he was sure that it wouldn't be a positive one - and cast a look around for Helga. Usually when Francoise was aroung, Helga followed behind.

"There's more! Naruto inwardly screamed, before dead panning. It was strange to think that the Uchiha murderer and missing nin Uchiha Itachi was such an... an animal lover.
It was quite hard to comprehend actually. Shrugging it off, he tried his best not to let the situation get the better of him and he said,
"Ne Itachi San, where am i sleeping tonight?" hopefully there was a bed, since Naruto wasn't too fond of floors unless they were outside. His mind worked in strange and unpredictable ways.

Itachi looked at Naruto and nodded,
"Follow me, I'll show you where you can sleep."
Itachi walked off and turned the corner that revealed the stairs. they were simple stairs but the wrought iron banister was one of Itachi's favourite parts of the house. Animals had been ingraved in the metal and when Itachi had acquired the house he had been so fascnated by the patterns that he actually missed a day's worth of food.
They travelled up the stairs and Itachi ignored the first door. They came to a hallway and blue light was coming out from the open door to the left,
"That would be Kisame's doing... he's a little too obsessed if you ask me."
They walked past the door and Itachi knew that - if Naruto thought Itachi had odd habits then he would shiver at Kisame's room; little fish coated the walls and various sea birds hung down from the ceiling

Naruto didn't know what made him do it, but something about Kisame's room scared him and he unconsciously inched closer to Itachi until he actually bumped into the other.
In his state of shock he blushed crimson before jumping backwards and muttering an apology under his breathe. God he was scared, but boy did he like touching Itachi, despite how wrong that sounded in his mind, he couldn't help, but half agree with it.

Itachi ducked his head behind the material of his cloak as a smile sprung to his face when Naruto bumped into him. He was at a loathe to do it but Itachi knew they had to move on.
"This shall be your room then."
Itachi opened the door to reveal a warm coloured room. A bed sat proudly in the middle and Itachi only just managed to get out the way before Naruto rushed in.

Naruto ran in as fast as he could and dive bombed the bed. it was so ncie and springy and nearly threw him off from how bounchy it was, and in his wonder and awe he shouted,
"Itachi come to the bed with me it's nice!" it was seconds later that he realised what he had said. He once again for the millionth time that night turned crimson.
Why did Itachi make him feel so... so wonderful.

Itachi couldn't help it, he opened his mouth and laughed. Not a chuckle but a deep and musical laugh that rose from his throat and blossomed out.
Never before had anyone made Itachi laugh in such a way... well maybe Shisui had but Itachi's memories had grown dark and all he really remembered was dark hair and dark eyes.
There was just something about Naruto that attracted the Uchiha to him and Itachi was determined to find out what it was, even if it took him to the end of time to do it.

Hours had passed and to put it frankly. He was hungry, severely hungry. His stomach wouldn't shut it's rumbles off and he felt slightly embarrassed in asking Itachi for food. He was still crimson and hiding under his cover pretending to be asleep from all the embarrassing things he had done earlier that day. Winning against Sasuke was probably more easier than winning against his feeling towards the eldest living Uchiha sibling.
Meanwhile Sasuke was pacing up and down a hallway, the same hallway. It was in one of Orochimaru's layers. The owner, was currently receding somewhere inside of Sasuke, though Sasuke had full control and Orochimaru himself was but a bad memory.
Hebi had come to see the light of day, and this time they had two missions, one; to capture, for Sasuke, his wonderful little Naruto. Who wouldn't want a boy with a carnivorous demon inside to be his pet! and Twp; to murder Itachi, and slowly. To cause the one who had 'saved' his pet from him a slow and painful death. To cause the one who had caused him so much grief to due in painful agony.
Sasuke smirked. He had a plan.
