"Paychecks don't matter out here, I just don't want to leave anyone behind..." Lah's voice was weary, but not the apathy that Sam was projecting, and he realized after he spoke that that was exactly what she was doing. Which made things problematic.
Sighing, Lah wandered over to the other snowmobiles and started pushing them back away from the city a ways, hoping that maybe if he could keep the transportation safe he could get Sam to come with him.
Last ditch effort? He would pull her away, and hope she didn't put up a fight. Lah wasn't the type to knock someone out to get them to safety. But hopefully, that wouldn't be required.
It was also probably a good thing that he didn't care about the jacket she was wearing. Once he finished with his pushing, though, he would notice the blood on her face, which sent alarm into him. "Are... you okay? Do you need that looked at?"
Another reason to get her out of here.

"I'm fine."
An automatic response. Her green eyes seemed lifeless. As if all hope was gone. Mama, Papa, James, Rafe, her grandparents, Kael, Joseph. Maybe not the last two, but it felt as if they were.
"Let's go home..." Defeated.

Lah finished sliding the last of the snowmobiles backwards, and stood up, smiling weakly. Not much actual gusto behind it. "Here, if anybody else follows, these'll be safe." He stood there a second, then felt like an idiot for having to do the whole 'consoling' thing. She'd already decided to go home, and cheering up wasn't going to happen for either of them. This was the sad corner.
"Uh, yeah, anyway..." He marched over to his snowmobile and revved it, heading out at a slow pace after getting Aiolos back in a stable position. He'd keep it up until they followed, then speed up, ready to get the hell away.
Lahren couldn't help but think that her jacket looked pretty flimsy, but aside from his jacket he couldn't offer anything, and he'd freeze to death without the thing.
He sighed, a cloud of fog that brushed off behind him. The whole thing felt... dull. But that was probably just the power down after the adrenaline rush that was him fleeing out of the city.
