"Um... yeah, you're right. Absolutely, I must be silly," Emery stammered. Whether the ignorance was intentional or not, he was quiet grateful for it. The conversation was going a very awkward direction.
Emery looked at Ryo's smile and couldn't help the little butterflies that rose in his stomach. He tried not to show it on his face--he realy couldn't tell if he was succeeding or not--but smiles just made him all disgustingly sentimental. It was like one of those chick flicks his mom's actor friends worked it. The feeling made him feel a tad bit vulnerable.
"Oh, thanks. Are you sure you won't get in trouble?" He creased his eyebrows. He wouldn't like his new friend--is that how he thought of Ryo now?--to get in trouble the first day of arrival. The second day, it was still a maybe. But a bad reputation now would be suicide.

Ryo thought he was a strange look cross Emery's face, but if he hed seen it, then it was gone as quickly as it had come. He was happy that Emery was concerned about him, it was almost endearing. But he wouldn't mind getting cought THAT much. he got into a lot of trouble in his previous schools, his parents just didn't know it. "I'll be careful then. All i need you to do is tell me what goes where and look out for people coming in the door." 'This kid is going to be fun living with. The fact that he's cute too has absolutely NOTHING to do with it.....right?'

Emery thought his choices out carefully. Surveillance meant full out recon and he didn't really want to leave Ryo here to do his work for him... but He was so not disinclined to indulge him... and it gave him a chance to scout his floor. He was pretty sure he and Ryo would need it later. Emery was practically fangasming over all the things they could do here.
He laughed for a mere second and said, "Sure. Shirts go in the top dresser, shorts underneath. You don't have to touch my underwear, but that one goes in the bottom. Everything else that's not folded goes in the hangars." Emery glanced over to the thing he was carrying in his duffel bag. "And that stuff in the bag. Heheh--Real men wear make-up." He grabbed the bag. "If anybody asks, I'm in the bathroom," he winked and walked out the door.
He took a short and light walk around the hall, taking care to make his steps light so no one would hear him. He did, in fact, stop off at the bathroom, but putting on eyeliner took mere seconds he did it so often--even if it was about 20 strokes, not even raccoon eyes, mind you.
He didn't think he heard any voices from the various rooms and relaxed. He figured that they might be spread out a little more. A whole bunch of superpowered people in one building was a bit much to handle.

Ryo smiled, glad to be of assistance to his new roommate.
"Whatever you want Emery."
After he left, Ryo stood up and thought to himself as he put the first couple of shirts into the top drawr. 'He is really. But he's probably not interested. Or if he is, he just is too shy to say anything and I could never force someone into a confession.'
he sighed and levitated two or three shorts into the drawr below the shirts. "Besides, he might not even be gay or bi...why should I get my hopes up?" He half mumbled that to himself, but he was sure that if someone were walking by, that they would hear him.
He was done with all of Emery things in ten minutes. Well, all except the make-up, he didn't really know where Emery wanted it to go.
He layed down in his bed and rested his eyes for a minute, using his powers for an extended period of time always made him tired.

"Hey, Ry-," Emery walked through the door into his dorm expecting to see a slightly exhausted Ryo. He did not correctly estimate the extent of the exhaustion. He stopped mid-step and held his breath for a minute, hoping he didn't wake the older boy. Once sure Ryo would not wake, Emery relaxed and exhaled deeply.
Emery slightly smiled at the sight. He should've known that work would take its toll. Superpowers weren't there only for total good.
He walked over to the sleeping boy. Ryo wasn't sprawled throughout the bed as Emery was known to be, but rather, calmly keeping to one side totally relaxed and peaceful. A little clump of hair had wandered its way into his face--which Emery knew for a fact was not good for pores. He motioned to move it away, but hesistated. After all, what if Ryo waked up?
He made a decision. He wasn't a baby. And he could always say what he was doing. It wasn't as if it was anything weird. Right.
Emery raised his left hand and brushed the soft brown hair away from the face, neatly tucking the clump behind the ear and entangling it with all the other clumps so it would stay there. Emery combed his hands softly through the boy's soft hair just once. Only once. Anymore would most certainly risk Ryo waking up. And... well, now, it got awkward.

Ryo was sound asleep when Emery walked through the door. He was even sound asleep when he moved the hair out of his face, but when he started combing his hands through his hair, he was fairly awake.
His eyes fluttered wearily and he sat up a little bit.
"Emery? What's up? What time is it?"
He noticed that something was on his head and reached up to see what it was. When he pulled down Emery's hand, it got a little bit akward.
"Um...I wasn't expecting THAT"
Ryo couldn't help but blush at this. But he turned away to hide the streak of crimson that had enveloped his face.

CRAP!
Emery twitched and fell off the bed with a hard thump to the floor, scampering as far away from the bed (and boy) as possible. His blush matched the shade of wine red.
"Holy crap, Ryo. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you--not that I'm totally one to cop a feel or anything. But that just kind of makes it a bit worse, doesn't it? Oh God, you must think I'm some sort of freak. I didn't mean any harm of it. Your hair was in your face and it's bad for your pores--but that just sounds pathetic. I must be looking like a real douche bag right now, don't I? It's totally ok if you want another roommate, if I creep you out that is. You can go to the main office right now and request a room change. But that's terribly impolite. I'll do it because I'm the one at fault here. Crap, I told myself I shouldn't but..." Emery kept rambling and rambling apologies and drastic solutions, barely breathing enough to keep him living and his speech going.
He didn't think he could talk himself out of this predicament.

"Emery, Emery, EMERY!!!!!!" he kept repeating the younger boy's name over and over to make his stop rambling, but eventually had to yell to make him stop.
"Will you relax already!?!?!?" He went over to him and sat on the floor in front of him about two feet away, he thought that if he got too close Emery would freak out. But at the same time, he was blocking the door to their room, he didn't want another roommate.
"Okay, so you were moving hair out of my face because it's bad for your pores. Normally you'd be skrewed if you tried to use that as an excuse to any normal guys, but I actually know that so you're partially off the hook. But the thing is, you wouldn't need both hands to move a few loose strands away, and you wouldn't need to bury your hands in my hair either." Ryo figured out what had happened on his own, it wasn't very hard.
He looked down at Emery, he was looking very pale. But that was probably from fear.
"Okay Emery, answer one question for me and you'll be completly off the hook...I know we just met and everything, but...do you have feelings for me...or..that is to say, is that the reason you ran your fingers through my hair?" he sighed and went back over to his bed, sitting down and running his pale fingers through his soft chestnut hair.
"You don't need to answer right away. I'd never force someone into making a confession. Then again, you might not be interested anyway."
he turned his head and stared at Emery for a minute before continuing sadly. "But I don't want to change roommates either way. Besides, who said they'd let us anyway."

Screw it.
Screw Ryo and his nice attitude and his soft hair and everything about him. Screw his caring nature, his stupid smile, and his damn brother. Emery'd known him for all of a few frickin' minutes, and it'd already gone to hell.
"Yeah," he said angrily. Emery tensed up and creased his eyebrows. He stood tall above Ryo's sitting form. He was just so mad at everything--Ryo calling him out like that, getting caught, and most disconcerting to Emery, disappointment in himself--so much that he became vulgar. "I'm a f**. I'd think about smoking c**k, and getting in the a** like every other gay a** b***h. I get boners from d**k, not some pink vajayjay."
Angrily, Emery stormed over to his bed and huddled in the corner facing the wall, and turned on his iPod. "Deal with it."
He listened to the pounding guitars and the raspy screaming of emotive hardcore anger, the riffs of frustration and melodies so confused in themselves, though he sat in silence.

Ryo blinked a few times in shock.
"Why are you so angry?" He waited for a responce, but noticed that Emery had his ipod on and probably couldn't hear him.
He sighed and walked over to Emery, gently placing his hand on Emery's shoulder. He took one of the ear pieces so he could talk to him. "Emery why are you so mad? It was only a question. And I said you didn't have to answer right away."
Ryo went in front of him and nealed so they were at eye level. he very gentle caressed Emery's pale cheek and looked directly into his eyes. "And if you're gay, then don't be so mad about it. I mean, I don't know when you came out or anything, but I knew I was a f** since I was five.
He didn't think smiling was the best thing to do right now, Emery still seemed pissed at him. he sighed and went back over to his bed, laying down and closing his eyes. "I hope you don't hate me now, cause I kinda like you too. You're really cute, and funny, interesting, and you just seem like a lot of fun. So i gues I have a crush on you too."
Ryo wanted to say something intelligent to make Emery feel better, but he couldn't stop rambling. He honestly didn't know what to do this time. But he hoped Emery would stop being mad at him already.

Emery was a drama freak. Born and raised in LA, his life was so used to the ups and downs of the latest gossip, the most popular fashion, and even the most eclectic music one could find. He was made for that life in the city.
Unfortunately, this also meant he went through moodswings crazier than Hitler on morphine.
He pretended not to hear Ryo talk. God, he pretended so hard. He even tried makng the volume to the screaming louder, but found he could not move it. Instead, he listened to every word, every softly resounding, piercing syllable.
And realized how much of a jerk he was.
But that was kind of who he was. And is. Being all defensive and bitchy and moody, it was part of him. And damn it all to hell is Ryo couldn't accept that!
But then again, it seemed that Ryo could accept it. Here he was, trying to tell him that the world would be ok. That Emery wasn't the only weird kid in the block, and that he wasn't the only one with a slight love interest at the moment.
That was it, he was such the jerk.
He paused the music, and slowly removed the buds from his ears, turning side ways a bit to face the other's bed. He drew his knees to touch his chest, and wrapped his arms around himself, not quite ready for anything, but feeling the need for it anyways.
"I guess I got kind of scared..." he chuckled. "Okay... maybe a little more than kind of, but... I've only met someone like me twice. And neither of them were quite as um... courteous to me as you are. In fact, heheh, one of them barely registered I existed, despite how much he actually meant to me... But this is me spewing s**t. You don't want to hear it."
He paused for a moment to let it all sink in.
"I guess we've now covered that we both have some sort of attraction to each other." He wiggled a bit in his awkward positioning and instead decided to loosen himself up for his next bit. "So what happens now?"

he sat up again and ran his fingers through his hair, his usual way of trying to think. "I really don't know Emery. I mean...I'd really like to at least try us being together...but you don't seem too sure about it."
Ryo grabbed his backpack and searched through it for a minute till he found a box filled with oragami animals, plains, and shuriken. He made them float around him as he tried to think carefully about what to say. he really didn't want Emery mad at him.
"It's understandable if you wouldn't want to, we DID only just meet. But...I do like you all the same.......I just don't know what to say right now."
He laughed to himself a little and smiled. "It's funny, usually I have an answer for everything, but with you I never know what to say. I kind of like that"

Blue eyes widened in surprise, then narrowed in confusion and thought. Of course he was scared. He didn't want to end up hurting Ryo later, and more importantly, Emery didn't want to hurt himself either.
But.
Ryo said he liked him. Ryo said he liked him. OHMIGOD. Ryo said he liked him.
"Damn," Emery smirked, "Sometimes, you're just too cute for anyone's own good."
He jumped the short distance between bunks and gave Ryo a quick peck to the lips smiling like a fool, not too careful about getting hit by the flying objects. Whether or not he got hurt, he didn't really care, because Ryo liked him back. And that's all that really mattered at the moment.
"I believe you should take this as a yes." He fell back and sat on the floor, looking up at Ryo. "I'm never really sure about anything I do these days. Absolutes don't exist--except in math. But I figured, this might be something I want to try."

The paper objects fell to the floor as Emery pecked Ryo. He couldn't help but smile as a small crimson blush made its way across his cheeks.
He looked down at emery and noticed a mark on his arm. It didn't register to the older boy for a minute that it was bleeding slightly.
Paper cut He thought to himself.
Ryo very gently neeled in front of emery and took his hand.
"Two things." he smiled. "One) You have a paper cut on your arm."
Ryo lifted Emery's hand and gently ran his fingers up the other's soft skin until he reached the small cut. He brushed the blood away with his thumb and kissed it, just in case it hurt.
"And Two) That's not how you kiss someone" Ryo couldn't resist how cute Emery had been, just giving him a small childish peck.
Damn it Emery YOU'RE the cute one, not me
Ryo placed his right arm around Emery's neck and used his left finger tips to brush slowly up and down the younger boy's arm.
"I'm glad you're at least willing to try being with me for a while."
He sat there for a moment, looking into Emery's beautiful blue eyes, but then slowly moved closer and closer to Emery until their lips were pressed, ever so gently, together.

((Finally I have a roommate! <3))
Voices echoed through the vast corridors of the large school, chattering and squealing. Tai stood at the entrance to the Co-ed Dorms, hesitant to step in and find his room. He looked to either side of him, down the corridors, where many other doors were, and groups of people talking. A couple gazed over to him, but looked back to their group. He had just began to turn around when a small gust of wind blew his hair across his face. "No... I'm not going..." He whispered, his voice cracking and frightened. But yet again, wind blew from one side of the hall to the other, then it blew right into his back, pushing him forward, onto his knees. He let out a small yelp as he hit the ground, his palms in front of him, helping him keep his balance on his knees.
He let out a small whine, but stood back up, and brushed himself off, whipping the sleeve of his shirt across his face, cleaning his tearful cheeks. With yet another sigh, he muttered the word 'Fine", and began to pull his small bag down the hallway, being very cautious of his surroundings. He peered at the walls, reading the numbers on each door, and also trying to make sure he didn't trip. He normally wasn't this brave, but he wasn't walking on his own. Something was pushing him. Small gusts of wind, one at a time. He put on a pouting face and continued to slowly walk down the hallway. He suddenly stopped in front of a wooden door labeled '902' and he opened it slightly. No one was in there... He was there before his room mate... "Phew..." She breathed, pulling his luggage through the door and closing it. He examined to room and the two bed, and just stared for a minute. With a small sigh he walked towards one of the two neatly made beds. He let go of his suitcase and dropped himself onto the bed, his eyes closed and his arms spread out.
