It occurs to me, now, AFTER I've bothered everyone on the other guild board subsections, that I should introduce myself. I feel smart. -headdesk-
Anyway. Hi. I'm actually a fairly recent fan... But a fan I am. smile I'm fifteen years old, a silly American, and fence (saber).

I really should commend myself. I join almost five days ago and ONLY now while I'm at my grandparents wedding anniversary do I actually post. Hooray for procrastination.
Anyway, I am FinfoxAelia. I am an American fan of about seventeen years of age. I like long walks on the beach, an...oh wait...this isn't my Singles profile. Let's back up a bit. I have been a science fiction fanatic ever since I was (VERY) small. I was practically raised on Star Wars, Star Trek (ToS, TNG, the movies, DS9, and Voyager to be exact,) reruns of Quantum Leap, Mystery Science Theater 3000, anime, and movies adapted from popular Broadway musicals ("That's not entirely sci-fi!" you say.)
I was only introduced to Doctor Who around two years ago, when I was attending a sci-fi convention called Stellarcon. It wasn't my first convention ever, but it was my first sci-fi convention. So, you could guess I was pretty nervous, especially when I found that most of the attendees where three times my age...some with CHILDREN. This was definitely a change from the anime conventions where the main attendees were teenagers. My first contact with the Doctor was on a small Sanyo television perched upon one dealer's table.
I looked at his selection of DVDs and knew instantly he specialized in selling B-movies. But what was on the screen caught my eye, and I asked what movie it was. He replied that he was showing episodes of Doctor Who (the 2005 season with Christopher Eccleston starring as the Doctor to be more precise,) and that it wasn't a movie but a television series. Didn't get much of an explanation beyond that...mainly because I was nervous and didn't want to be a bother. It would be a few months into the next year before I would really get into it. I guess I'm just THAT stubborn.
Anyway, I didn't get really into the series until I was really bored one Sunday morning during summer vacation. I flipped it to the Sci-Fi channel, which I had only tuned in for reruns of Quantum Leap and Mystery Science Theater 3000 beforehand. They were having a Doctor Who marathon (In no particular order I later found out. All of them were David Tennant episodes) and I figured "I have nothing to do, so what the heck? It won't kill me to watch a few." And well...I ended up sitting on the couch for hours, even dragged my mother into watching it with me. I guess that's what has gotten me hooked for life.
Recently I've started watching older serials, mostly ones from the Jon Pertwee-era and Tom Baker-era. I find that I enjoy these a little more than recent episodes. I'm mostly relying on the internet to view these episodes, and I really should get to watching Hartnell-era and Troughton-era serials (Well, what's LEFT of them anyways.)
Also, I apologize for the longwinded introduction! sweatdrop

Hi Everyone, I'm Trixta and I've been DW fan since the 4th, 5th, 9th and now the 10th doctor smile I'm from sunny southern California, and I'm a mother of 4, who enjoys watching both DW and Torchwood. I'm also a big World of Warcraft fan/player ergo the wacky name I've got. I'm glad to be a part of this guild, and I thank you for having me biggrin

Hello, I was named Jenny. Mainly in reference to a G.I I think. After I was killed and died in my father's arms I regenerated, but he was gone. So I left for an adventure of my own.

Hello! I'm Kayna. I'm 23 and my major interests are ancient history, art, reading (pretty much anything but romance novels). While I haven't seen any classic Doctor Who (yet) I am a total fan geek about the new stuff. I have a bit of a fangirl crush on Ten and I'm quite nervous about what will happen when the show comes back in 2010. My favorite episode is Midnight. Something about it gets me in the pit of my stomach.

Hi, I'm Crista and I'm 14. I'm an American viewer. My first Doctor was the 9th, but I honestly prefer the 4th and 5th. My first experience with the Doctor was when I was oh, roughly 12 or 13. I had flipped to PBS, saw a guy that looked kind of weird... then a big ol' stretched out piece of skin pops up and scares the hell of out me. 'Lovely' Cassandra. PBS being the channel that broadcasts the uninterrupted episode of Doctor Who, I had absolutely no idea what I had been watching up until the credits came. I lost it for a year and then found it again, but with Tennant in the role. 'Who's this guy?', I had said. Then they finally mentioned 'the Doctor' to him and I got mad. 'Ajsfhjsh i want my Doctor back.'
I've grown to love the tenth, though. I've gotta say that.
Also, as a rather obsessed fan, it's basically been made my job to construct armies of Daleks. Full size, round about the size they are in the show itself.
You'll all probably see them once I get the latest finished. pirate

New season 2 finale, VOID STUFF! ) My sister's bf got her interested, she got me interested and now I got my friend MATT interested.
