I'm getting a little sick of feeling like an afterthought. I work a lot of evenings, so I'm usually not home for dinner. Saturday, my family went out to eat because there was really no food at home and the Ironman taking place was cutting off our access to the grocery store. They neglected to pick anything up for me. I had a turkey sandwich. Yesterday, my mom made chili, but my brother had a friend over and there were therefore no leftovers. I had a turkey sandwich. Today, I worked until after one in the morning, and came home to find one bite-sized piece of sweet and sour chicken and a quarter-cup of rice in a container labeled "Gab's leftovers" in the fridge. So I had a turkey sandwich.
Okay, seriously? Yesterday might have been forgivable, if it had been an isolated event, since a guest was involved. But I have two teenaged brothers who eat a lot of food, and ordinarily, if anyone else in the family is absent, we'll make sure to save enough food for them. And if there's a meal that there isn't enough food for everyone to have their fill while saving food for another, those who eat more can have something else in addition to their dinner.
But apparently, somewhere along the lines it's being determined that I somehow don't merit having food saved for me. Saturday they figured I could just make food at home because they didn't feel like carrying it on the bike (as I mentioned, Ironman was blocking roads, but there was sidewalk for bikes), even though the restaurant they ate at was all of an eighth of a mile from our house. Today, I was obviously an afterthought, otherwise food would've been preemptively set aside.
And I'm getting really sick of turkey sandwiches.

CleoSombra keito melfina well I received an award from my school for exemplary academics for my entire 3 years there ^_^ /brag
but still I feel kinda bad since I didn't study at all for those classes and went on internet addiction + video games LOL crying
I feel kinda guilty though not being like the other classmates who took AP, but oh well. I went for Dual enrollment so I won't have to pay for books and the class itself... That just means you're super smart. XP
What's dual enrollment?
I understand the guilt. My experimental psych teacher gave me an A- in my class that I feel I don't deserve. >.x Basically college courses available in high school, BUT you don't have to pay for the class or books [the school does MWAHAHAHA!!]
I stuck to computers for advanced microsoft applications, web-design and calculus since that's what Gaia and zOMG inspired me to do lol!
I never knew what "smart" meant, I just listen to the teacher, and copy/paste that stuff to the assignments. Doesn't mean I'll retain that information for years Dx
and *HUGS ALL if possible*
Other than that, omg I really need to keep my hormones in control from going into a roller coaster of "I think he's cute, maybe I should get to know him better and/or ask him out later?"
telling myself over and over "college = more opportunities to be open" is REALLY good at testing my patience.

I get that guilt too because I only took 3 classes a semester so it was a lot easier on me. Though just because you succeeded a different way doesn't mean you didn't deserve to succeed. And never feel guilty about dual enrollment. Dual enrollment is bitchin'. cool

What a nice guy said to me: "Hey miss, do you need some help?"
What I thought I said: "Ah, thank you so much, but I can get it myself. 4laugh "
What I actually said: "Ah, thank you so much, but you'd only get in my way. 4laugh "
Thank God it was only a dream. >_<
Unrelated, but I can't wait to move out. I'm so glad I can do it so soon, too...
[small rant about something that's been pissing me off] In conclusion,

About this whole rapture thing... I think Cleo has some fairly valid points. But I guess I'll throw my two cents in as well. I think believing in the rapture is fine. I think believing in Harold Camping is idiotic and, well, worthy of being made fun of. Maybe they'll learn. They're believing a man who predicted the rapture in 1994, and was wrong then. Anyone who believed this money-hungry self-proclaimed prophet had the wool pulled over their eyes and did nothing to stop it. CleoSombra Can someone please remind me why I'm defending myself in a thread that's designed for secret sharing and getting things off one's chest? Because no one bothered to make a debate thread for the issue in Serious Discussion?
