Bah. Who doesn't have some sort of troubled past nowadays? It's fine if you have one. It's pretty much a requirement for being a combat character. You just have to try and avoid trite cliches like, "I have a dead father/mother/legalguardian and it's Organization/Person X's fault and I must have REVENGE." Or "I'm a demon escaped from Hell wanted dead or alive by both God and Satan even though I'm just trying to prove I've turned over a new leaf and it's SO HARD."
Or "My family was murdered when I was a child and then I prayed to Jesus to give me super detective and kung-fu powers. Jesus came through and now I fight crime."

Vahn has black fire.
Back when Kael was discreetly possessed (psychological manipulation and implantation, not raging demon mode) he started having emanating a dark energy when focusing on destructive/violent emotions. Stuff moved mostly alike flame but warped things and left them twisted and broken. Stuff acted more like a corrosive than a flame. ******** him up just as much as it did other things.
Like he said. Darknessflame happens a lot. Can be cool if you do it just right.

Oh, and I don't go by cliche's like that. The most tragic past actually goes to my Sweetest Character. She Might have some how destroyed her Entire Village.
Not that she remembers anything about it. She is completely non Offensive though her power will never be used offensively.
