I like the whole "Break into your room and ******** your s**t up" approach.
Makes more sense, and you can randomize which member of said team gets hit, so they never know.
And still fits in with the dramatic tension, especially if people know it's coming OOC, but have no idea IC.

Some place else doesn't have the whole "it's mysterious" bit.
People aren't supposed to know. The next day, you're just supposed to show up all messed up. You're just found beat down by some mysterious figure, unless you managed to survive or defeat them.
Plus, in their hotel room allows for extended interaction prior and post combat, if both characters are suitable for it.
The only real alternative is the "G-men pick you up and take you to X location" like with Deitric and Gamma.

I've been trying to figure out how to make DA Athan into an eliminator.
So far the only thing I can come up with is something like..."survive for ten minutes" or however long a typical HoH round lasts.
