Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with Strikers as they are now. It's just the players fault, for not doing s**t right... and lack of creativity.

Well, I'd like to, and I'm pretty sure Desi has mentioned it too. And Cog helped with the DT, so.. yeah.
It seems like a lot of us are wanting to shift our focus at least a little towards running events, or helping in some fashion for some reason or another.
At most, it seems like there's some want to get things for HoH settled so that it will run smoothly and avoid some of the previous mishaps. So.. maybe if some of that happens, the tournament can continue.

And maybe we can go back to what makes a tournament a tournament: the stories told between the fighters and the fight.

If the problem is reoccurring though, it might need a bit of a baseline do/don't to get people to stop doing the wrong things consistently. Make them a box to work in that doesn't necessarily restrict their creativity, but restricts their ability to pull out BS. People who don't BS won't have a problem with it, people who do will have to keep to the straight and narrow. And something about the posting numbers of Strikers, since that's come up before. Anyways, going to train. Burb.

I'm still running over in my head the stuff people have said about eliminations. Because I've had folks bring up good points regarding how they're not really serving a specific purpose so much as just there. I had originally thought they were there to serve the purpose of forcing a team to have one player sit out a round so they couldn't rely too heavily on a single individual, but they haven't necessarily followed a format like that.
I personally want to make sure they're entirely good because... I dunno, besides JB's round being amazing, I was not entirely impressed by eliminations this year, and the lack of theme they normally have.
Maybe it's just me, but I love them. It's dramatic, kind of a high point of tension.
That, and I sorta have to agree- IC douchebaggery is what it is. OOC douchebaggery is something that has not been consistently graded down, and seemed especially unpunished this past year. It is slightly harder to tell, at times, if it's just a douchebag character or a douchebag player, but I saw far too many cases this year of "he wins by points because you took hits and reacted responsibly and he didn't want to hurt any". Though I'll admit grading fights and tournament stuff always chafes at me.
I want to have fun fights and have everyone come away happy, throw in plenty of dramatic bits for everyone. Giving incentive to focus on anything else leads to me being headachy or frustrated.
