"That may be so, but I refuse to allow you to act as if you are a slave in my service." she stared in to his eyes with a somber, sad expression. Though she agreed to accept his kindness, there were boundaries in her life that she would not allow he or anyone else to tamper with.

She arched a brow at the unknown male, wondering why he had not spoken his name. Perhaps there was a reason to hide his identity, only time would tell. The mention of vehicles caught her interest. "Vehicles .. those are self-propelled means of transportation? Like a horse drawn carriage but with a device that brings it into motion rather than burdening horses?"

~you misunderstand...the only person to whom I act as a slave would be to my mistress, Crow...Ziven, like it or not, I have a debt of honor to pay to you, and i will do so. The acts I have preformed for you were all acts of kindness. Untill the moment comes that it is time for me to repay my debt, I will continue to show you acts of kindness, and even after it has been repayed...please understand this...~

David's comments, though meant in good spirit, were almost painful for her to hear. Showing kindness to others has always been a talent she had prided herself in and appreciated to see the same from others. However at this time she found that what kindness he displayed was overwhelming. Looking at him with a sad expression still, she welcomed the interruption of learning Flail's name. Slowly she tore her attention away from David to reply to him.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Flail. Have you one of these vehicles here? Never have I seen one, only have heard about them." she said softly. David's comment was interesting, she smiled and wondered what noises he may be able to hear when such a great distance from the rest of town.
It was clear that the distraction of responding to Flail had exhausted its self, which left no choice but to confront what David had said earlier.
"I do not like it. I do not deserve such treatment. I wish there were another solution that would not make you or I feel bad. My apologies for arguing this point again but I must assure you that my actions are not worth all this trouble for you." she said softly, shying away from him.

~you still don't understand...I am not treating you any different then any of my other friends. Like I said, when the time comes, my debt will be repayed~*his somber expression grew brighter...but if was because his mood was lifting, or because he had the ability to glow, no one could tell.*

Ziven clung to her bag tighter, squishing it against herself, partially hiding her face behind its bulk. "It is clear that I have not met any of your friends then. I must sound horribly ungrateful ... I honestly am not worth your time to do these things." seeing his expression change to look more bright, she smiled lightly, hoping this meant he agreed with her finally.

Reeve appeared in a dark corner of the main room, on his knees and breathing heavily. At the first breath of real air he started to cough violently as his body tried to force real air into his lungs. Along his right arm there was a large, bloody gash and the smell of sulfer surrounded him.

Hearing labored breathing coming from the other end of the room suddenly, she looked to see what the source of it was. For the first time in many days, she found Reeve, but it seemed as if he were ill. Concerned with his wellbeing and again welcoming a reason to distract from the matter at hand between herself and David, she quickly rose from her seat and crossed the room to his side. Without looking back at David or Flail, she excused herself. "Excuse me, sorry." she spoke softly, stopping when the pungent odor of sulfur met her nose. Making no effort to diagnose or heal his wounds as she had come to realize over and again that help was not welcome around here if it were not asked for. A blessing and a curse that it were, however that David also came to Reeve's side, wishing to assist with his ailment. Leaning back, she gave the two males more room.

Reeve could not do anything to stop the man from healing him, because he was too focused trying to breath. He found that it was becoming harder and harder, instead of easier. He soon lost conciousness from the lack of oxygen.

Her eyes went wide with worry having realized Reeve passed out. Instinctively she caught the male to prevent him from hitting his head on the wall or floor, and tried to make him comfortable. Blue eyes fell upon David and she nodded, wishing for he to help Reeve as soon as possible.
