Invictus seemed unphased by the 'odd' expression. Perhaps it was worth noting he'd spent a lot of time with Cymbeline. Oh Cym, she'd never quite been the same, had she? Always a bit off kilter. Or perhaps the Horseman was just..hard to phase at all. He offered the spookie to the off-kilter Manticore however.
"Take them off as you feel free to, then." he said, not really caring that would have him ending up in his underwear (for the record, you didn't want to know. He wasn't up to date on the Boxers or Brief competition) or anything like it. It seemed someone had started introductions and Invictus looked to the monster woman. 'Savior' was it? Hmm, an interesting name, though he himself had been labelled by many.
"If introductions are in order, I will share;
I am Invictus - Conquest of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse." not that several of them didn't..y'know...already know that. The four figures were rather prominent, but somehow it was always important to make sure people knew who was wish one. He certainly did not want to be mistaken for War or Death..or Famine. No, he was content was Conquest..or was he Pestilence? He was quite possibly both.

The story thus far.. Earlier Inside:
Students had been caught by hunters in various and mostly underhanded ways. After a near loss of the kelpie, Calder, to weapon transformation, and then a strange rewinding of time, the captives soon found themselves alone to suffer the happy but painful hope of rescue together. And rescuers did come, after many searches for the cage's key cards, the rescuers took matters into their own hands, and sacrificing their own health, destroyed the hunters' generator. A bright blue light filled the room, leaving students feeling refreshed and energetic. As students reunite inside, a discreetly placed LCD screen lights up and begins counting down.
Is this the calm before the storm?
Earlier Outside:
Hunter trainees and students were taken to a room where time was held at a standstill. When they were released, they found themselves confronted with a very familiar scene: the hunter back yard encampment and a recently captured Soul Harvester. This was not a simple case of deja vu, but rather a do-over created through a deal between the Harvester and the mysterious Clockwork. The senior hunters appear to have no idea that time was manipulated in such a manner.
A battle began to take place, and the students, having run through this particular warzone before, now had a much easier time of it. But before things could really heat up...the Hunter Trainees got an new command, via text, and were transported out of the area for what was revealed to be an ambush on the other students who were taken through through the door of Space.
The benefits of going back and changing the past can be high, as are the risks. In this version of events, it was not Caelius to meet the Soul Harvester on the field as she was freed, but Dr. H and his assistant. Rather than meet her head on, power for power, the doctor took advantage of a moment of weakness to behead her, in the hopes that their portable containment unit could hold the Harvest long enough to fully contain her. But their are certain creatures in any world that should not be bound, and instead of holding her, it fully destroyed her instead.
Alone on the field against a mob of nightmare creatures, Dr. H and Clarice summoned the help of Moon Squad 12 to hold off the assault until Caelius returned with the trainees. Separately, the squad members are nothing too difficult, but their defensive coordination has created a difficult wall for those trying to fight their way into the tent. Others have sought to use stealth to sneak in the back way, but only a handful have made it through without attracting the doctor or his assistant's rather painful attentions.
A bright light burst from the tent and filled the field, giving students a renewed and energetic feeling. As students breathe a sigh of relief and wonder what exactly just happened, a creeping invasion of grey begins recolouring the field.
Is it really safe out here? The Boss Rush: round 1: As it turns out, they really didn't have to worry about the countdown in the tent, and the creeping grey quickly became covered in rainbows and sparkles and students wearing princess dresses. The tent and hunter equipment were destroyed, leaving all of the students together on the field to face their next great obstacle together. A giant wizardly boo appeared on the field to make a wizardly attack but was quickly defeated by power of Fashion Rage and Puppies in Dresses. round 2: A monkey with a barrel proved slightly less fun than a barrel full of monkeys. Excited by all the [princesses on the field, it was soon raining kegs. Fortunately the princesses were able to knock him off the roof. In the end, twas beauty that killed the beast.Glitter once again covers the field and another mysterious beam of FEAR-light shot back into the house. round 3: The smell of baked goods filled the air, and when the house was done baking, it covered the students with delicious spookies and attracted the attentions of spookies' natural predator: the Spookie Ghost. A delicious battle took place, and then the students all frolicked naked through the field and/or snacked. The sound of millions of pieces of glass breaking comes from the house in the distance. AOE DAMAGE IN EACH ROUND (If you were here prior to each round, your character would have been hit by the corresponding and following field attacks, be sure to adjust your HP accordingly.) Round One: Everyone on the gauntlet field was hit for 2 Rainbow Damage! Everyone in the tent was only hit for 1 Rainbow Damage due to Tently Gaurd! Everyone was hit for 2 Wizardly Damage! Round Two: Everyone was hit for 1 Tragic Gravity Damage! Round Three: Everyone has received 2 Oven Baked Goodness Damage! Always was peaceful in the Haunted House Spookie Edibles & Nudist Colony, when a loud choking sound emerged from the house. It was not unlike a cat with a hairball, only a 1000x moreso. Considering the sounds coming from it earlier, was it any surprise when it eventually vomited countless broken mirror shard onto the field? None of the students went unscathed by this tragedy, as actual clothes are generally a better protection against sharp things than teen hormones. Then as if that weren't traumatic and horrifying enough...another large form burst from one of the windows and in the middle of the students was... a couch. Couch tries to look at you invitingly, silently communicating it's thoughts and feelings across the sparkling field of rainbows and crumbs. Couch is your friend. Couch is harmless and would never hurt you.BOSS HP: 50/50GAUNTLET: BOSS RUSH Roll 1 d6! This is the amount of your student as been hit though Self Reflection Damage! RULES: - tent peeps...you no longer have a tent, back to the Field for you! - Please note, if your student is just now entering the field, they were in time to witness this scene. - You MAY use Pumpkin Pills for this gauntlet run. - If your HP hits 0, you will dissipate regardless of the situation and will respawn in the Dinmension of Couch. - You can post more than the requirements, but please keep them minimized as to not overwhelm the GMs. - Pins are still a little wonky, thanks to the FEAR energy from the Soul Harvester's Final Death: you are free to rp out your students Natural form or regular student form (but the rolls and results are still the same). - BOOS: YOU HAVE THE SAME OPTIONS AS THE STUDENTS. The calm had passed, and the next thing the ghost knew there were shards of glass raining down upon the whole of the field. Not just glass, mirrored glass. From that ******** maze! He swiped at the falling shards with his clawed hand, but despite his best efforts there were still a fresh series of slices along his upper body and even one along his right cheek. Fairly deep, but dark blood oozed from the wounds at a snails pace without the beat of his heart to speed it along. His response was a hissed growl of pain, but he simply didn't have the energy for anything beyond that, even standing was becoming more and more difficult. HP: 2/40 Battle Status: About to ******** die! BOSS HP: --

Why was it that Savior wasn't allowed to talk to people? Was there some divine force that commanded she not be allowed to make friends? At the giant glass couch......Savior had nam-style flashbacks. She could see hundreds of Marrowstripes reflected in there, but SO. WHAT.
Savior was about a million times more awesome and so she only took a little damage. Just a little.

Another attacker. Invictus turned his attention onto it quickly with a sort of efficient wrath...a much more efficient one than when he'd rampaged as a giant hell pony earlier. However, when the couch vomitted out mirror shards, the gravity of his hand did one thing:
It attracted them all like a b***h, several large pieces of sharp glass lodging themselves into his hand, causing him to start bleeding as they found their new home in his hand.
He swore in some unknown language underneath his breath, pulling his hand back to start pulling the pieces of mirror out of it.

And then the shards came. Gritting his teeth, Shun felt some of the glass slice against his skin in a few areas. None of the cuts were that deep, but it was enough to draw some blood in the very least.
They just weren't going to get a break with these... things were they? And now they were fighting a couch of all things.

Finally, a moment where they weren't in crazy outfits fighting familiar bosses. In fact, Bul had never met this blessed couch thing but he was determined to keep raining hell on them. The house could not possibly give him enough to deal with...
right?
Still in the back of his mind he was beginning to wonder... where WAS everyone else? Were they still in a time paradox even or was the house just imploding?
Bul nudged Mei lovingly before returning once more to natural form to attack. After that he could find new clothes to wear...

The couch looked so innocent! So cute...so....reflective and probably very deceiving. Too bad Savior didn't know about things like deception so instead she just stood there and watched others go after it, ready to punch the crap outta a piece of furniture.
If she had been able to see herself reflected in the couch she might have attacked. MAYBE.

Cady wasn't paying attention to what the nice boil was saying. Cady was eating. In the end, he was left with a sort of spookie-speedo. There were some places the ghoul was just not mentally prepared to go. She laid back in the grass, fully intent on rolling around with a full belly- And suddenly there was shrapnel everywhere. It was very pokey and hurt a lot. Fat!Cady moaned unhappily. HP: 16 - 5 = 11 Battle Status: Bewildered

Christof sighed, about to try to sooth the startled kelpie before he trampled someone when suddenly glass was erupting out of the house like some sort of grizzly sharp vomit. Only a few stitches were damaged, but nothing of too much consequence, thankfully. It was then that horrible Couch with familiar black-thorn teeth came bouncing out.... He glanced over to Barth, eyes narrowing. The Sloth demon had better not even be THINKING about a nap. Before his Master could do something stupid, he lunged forward, fists at the ready... Unfortunately before the thing wiggled away, he only managed to give it a good KNOCK but at least it positioned him between it's probably-not-as-comfy-as-they-look cushions and the eternally-weary Sloth Demon.
