I'm already pissed off enough and my stress levels have to be reaching the breaking point soon. I feel so pessimistic that it upsets me that I'm this down. If you didn't know already, I play the flute in my school's marching band. It really makes me mad that people join because they want to go to Disney (we're going in December) and because they think it won't be that hard. I mean, you just walk around the field playing an instrument right? I want to just sit these people down and yell at them. I joined marching band (going to call it 'MB' ) the year after they went to Disney. What does this mean? I joined because I wanted to join MB, not for flippin' Disney and prancing half-naked animals. MB is NOT just walking around the field playing your instrument. First of all, you do not walk. You march. Why do you think it's called MARCHING band? Don't go around swinging your hips, we're marching. Secondly, you're supposed to stay in step. Can't stay in step? Watch the ******** drum majors. Why do you think we have three of the placed strategically around the field? So they can work their arm muscles while we go do what ever you want to do on the field? Can't march in step? Don't play the music. Can't play the music, march, watch the drum majors, nor stay in step? Get off the ******** field and never come back. It's not easy. Why do you think we practice from 3:30pm-6pm 3 days a week? Plus the half time show every Friday and contest every Saturday. It takes work and dedication. Don't have it? Stay away from the band.

I just got back from a football game and when we finished our halftime show, we got off the field and waited for the home team to finish their show. We waited on the track and in front of the home stands. Last week we were boo'd at by the student section. Ouch, but sure whatever. It's the student section, they're a bunch of high-schoolers who aren't mature enough to just let us by. But this week do we get a boo? No, we get spat at by the student section. Not okay. Can I say rude? Impolite? Neanderthal-ic? Okkaay, so they spit at us while we're watching their own band perform. But that isn't enough is it? You have to spit at our band parents. It's one thing to spit at other students, but it's yet another to be spitting at adults.
Why must you be so difficult? You say you don't like the s**t in your life so you 'cut' people off. You ignore them. Okay, whatever. You're acting like a 8-year-old having a tantrum. Grow up, suck it up. People suck sometimes, but it doesn't mean you have to play the "I'm ignoring you" game. Learn to deal with it. But no. This time you cut off the entire flute section. There's 20 of us and you expect to get by the entire year without talking to us? Ha. I'll like to see you fail. Yes, you're a senior too, but you joined your Sophomore year. What does this mean? Oh yeah, you don't have the authority to ignore our authority. There's a hierarchy in band. It goes something likes this: band directors>drum majors>section leaders>seniors>juniors>sophomores>freshmen>idiots. You're now falling under the 'idiot' category.
Next, YOU are a JUNIOR. Look at the hierarchy above. Do not tell me what to do. I'm a section leader. Maybe it's bad that people in the band do not react well to change. Change the hierarchy and you will have a riot. Good thing we're not planning to change it. You may suggest to the section leaders what you would like the others to do, but you will not yell at the other people. That's my job. You have a lot to learn youngling.
I'mm-ish tomorrow. I haven't studied at all. Good thi taking the ACT from 8am to 1png that all the rest of the ACT/SAT dates are the same as band contest dates. I hate you standardized testing. Then I have a band contest from 1:45pm to 11pm ish. I already came back tonight at 11pm. I need sleep.
Greencard please come by the end of this month. I would like to not have to take the driver's test again. If you come on October 1st, I will have a fit. It will not be pretty.
