Hakaru's hand quickly shot up, waiting patiently for his uncle to call on him, but a few very harsh subtle glares made him start to sink in his seat, taking his hand down slowly.
Luke only smiled and watched as his nephew came up despite the nickname. "Now, Damian. In the game of Go, can you tell me the spot that is most easy for a stone to be taken? he asked, giving the boy some black stones. Damian always played black. Just as Luke always played white.
(It's the corners. I'm learning go myself.)

"Corners," the boy responded without skipping a beat. He moved his pieces as such, meeting Luke's eyes as though challenging him.
Jethrow eyed some of the glarers, mentally preparing to keep them after class and talk to them. "Hakaru. You seem to be the only person in here respectful enough to actually volunteer," he said with implications.

Luke nodded some, reacting calmly as he placed a few stones around the board of both colors. "Now find the hole in my strategy."
Hakaru looked to his uncle from just about the level of the desk. "T-The first opening f-for magical flow i-is the pressure point j-just below your jaw joint, sir." he said nervously, subtly glancing around at the class, staying quite low in his chair and his voice very quiet.

Damian stared at the board for a moment, eyes glancing from stone to stone. Without a word, he moved two of his pieces, capturing a few of Luke's pieces and dominating the board with his pieces, surrounding Luke's easily.
Jethrow wanted to sigh, but he didn't. Though Hakaru was very smart, he was always shy like this in class. "Very good."

Luke hid his pride of Damian's cunning and annoyance at being bested by him. "Very good. You may go back." the wolf said, going to the board and resuming the lecture.
Hakuar just buried himself in note taking to try and not notice all the annoyed looks he was getting. He stayed in his books until the class was over, him getting ready to leave, just like the other students.

Damian nodded, waiting until his back was to Luke before smirking ever-so-slightly. What was that his dad had said about a race? He saw the angry glares he got and resisted the urge to do something sarcastic, instead taking his place in the back of the room and listening to the lecture.
Jethrow pointed at the students who had glared at Hakaru, then pointed at his next-door office. That made at least half the class, and they all filed in, muttering angrily. He waved his hand, slamming the door shut behind them so that they knew they were in trouble. The other half of the class started out, heading to whatever class they had next, except for a couple who had another class with Jethrow. The wizard walked over to Hakaru's desk and crouched down. "Have a good rest of the day," he said with a wink, producing a small bundle that fit into the boy's palm. It was Hakaru's favorite treat. Jethrow had one in his pocket for Damian, as well, and he'd find the other boy later.

Luke soon dismissed the class, giving Damian a pat on the head for a job well done. Oh how he just boosted the boy's confidence. He could play go in circles around this boy's head, but he went easy. For class's sake.
Hakaru looked to see his uncle send almost half the class to his office and the door slamming. He then saw the man crouch next to his desk and slip him a bundle, wishing him a good day with a wink. He smiled some and hugged Jethrow. "Thank you uncle." he said before leaving the class to make room for other students.

Damian was the first to get out of there, that is, after Luke patted his head. The boy rocketed up the stairs, using his hands as well as his feet until he found his twin brother, whom he tackled to the ground. "Hey pipsqueak!" he said, and a few of the older students passing laughed at the two, but in a good-hearted, "Oh, how cute!" way.
Jethrow smiled as he caught sight of the tackle, and shaking his head, he walked over to his office, opening the door and shutting it behind him. Crossing his arms, he raised an eyebrow at the students assembled, who all started to stammer apologies. He gave them a quick lecture on how they should behave around children, then let them go before returning to his now filled classroom. He began a new lecture, this time on the wars between various species of the magic world.
After the class, Anya waved her hand, making the room sparkling clean again in preparation for the next wave of mess-makers. Demetri said he was going to go check and see if Jethrow needed any help, and also to round up his sons. With a sigh, Anya stared around the room. Out of nowhere, arms wrapped around her waist from behind, and she jumped, making Searan laugh. "You think you're funny, but you're really not," she muttered to him.

Hakaru managed to keep himself from falling over as his brother tackled him. "I-I'm not a pipsqueak, Dami-kun!" he said, his cheeks turning an embarrassing red as his ears flattened out of frustration. He hated it when his brother picked on him. Who didn't? "Now I won't give you your present from Uncle!" he said, having snuck Damian's bundle out of the wizard's pocket. Sticky fingers was his talent.

Damian rolled his eyes at Hakaru, his own ears swiveling around as he took in the noise of the hallway. A collection of students poured out of one room, glaring at Hakaru and muttering about him. Frowning, Damian narrowed his eyes at them, barely hearing what his brother said. But he did, and he turned an aghast face to his brother, jaw dropped. "Now that's not fair!" he said, sticking his tongue out at the younger twin.
Just at that moment, Demetri came looming over the two, and he raised an eyebrow at the amusing expressions on the two's faces. "Hello, you two. Have a good day so far?" he asked, ignoring the students in the hallway. "And if you say yes, I'll leave you here to take other classes if you want." A smirk inched its way onto Demetri's face. Usually he could convince the boys to go to maybe one more class.
Jethrow kept going with his lecture, and without Hakaru in the class, he noticed that his students seemed more vocal. It was sad that they were intimidated by someone so young, but he hoped they'd get over it soon enough.
With a sigh, Anya pulled away from Searan as her next class came in. He gave her a mock salute before heading out the door, and she started her class, tossing ingredients at the students before starting the instructions.

Hakaru just smiled and handed Damian his bundle. "I was just kidding Dami-kun." he said before their father came. And he just presented that sweet, innocent smile. "I'll stay for another class father. I might go see Uncle. Damian can go see Uncle J." the little prince said, before even getting a confirmation from Damian, he headed off to Luke's class.

Damian rolled his eyes at his brother, taking the bundle and watching as he went after their father appeared. "Fine, I'll go sit through a boring lecture," he muttered, crossing his arms and looking up at his father. The wizard raised his eyebrows at his son. With a dramatic sigh, the brother stalked down the hallway, heading into Jethrow's class and ignoring the glare he got from his uncle for being late.
Anya pinched the bridge of her nose as it seemed all of the students couldn't remember the ingredients properly. She kept trying to give them hints without revealing how to mix them.

Hakaru came into Luke's class, also getting a glance of lateness. He remained quiet and took his notes, asked and answered questions, and got another treat from Luke. The class didn't last long as the class was let out early. So the younger prince went out to one of the open gardens to enjoy a lunch of warm beef stew in the shade of a blooming willow tree.

After the classes were dismissed, Damian grabbed a quick lunch from the dining hall before all the bigger students could swarm it, and he took a big whiff of the air, looking for his twin. When he found Hakaru, he said nothing, just sat down beside him and started eating his own lunch.
Demetri stopped by Lunora's class, leaning on the doorframe while he waited for her to let her students out. When they started coming out, he weaved through them, smiling at Lunora as he came in.
Jethrow yawned and stretched as he let his class out, heading upstairs to his study where he'd left a book he was translating from. He waved his hand and a small meal appeared on his table, and he sat down, immediately picking up the book and neglecting the food.
As soon as the last student was gone from Anya's classroom, Searan reappeared, food in hand. Grateful, the faerie hugged him tightly, then stole an apple from his collection of food. She waved a hand, creating a couple of soft chairs for them to sit in.

Lunora smiled as she saw her husband weave through the young fighters to get to her. She eased into his arms and rested her head on his chest. "Hello my love. Where are our young princes?" she asked, glancing around his feet. Usually they weren't far behind, but this time they were nowhere to be seen.
Hakaru enjoyed his stew, soon finishing it before moving on to the treat Jethrow had given him. It looked so delicious and he couldn't really help eating it.
