t h e C a r d M a s t e r //shrugs I've watched so many cartoons on different channels and medias, I can't remember sources anymore.
Isn't Lucy Liu the new Watson in the American Sherlock? Like.. Elementary, I think? Or is that a different Asian Lucy? I've no idea. I just recall PBS being... boring. ;w; Yeah, she's the new Watson in Elementary. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the show, but eh. The idea of a female watson is cool. Just apparently half the fandom is like "if you don't like elementary then you are a sexist racist!!" Which... isn't... true for a lot of people? Some, yes. Others, no. I mean... really. I'm a girl and I'm Asian and I just don't think Elementary is just that good. lol. Don't really see how I'm racist against myself, you know? .___.'' But eh. It's mostly the BBC Sherlockians and Elementary fandoms going at it. I'm opting to ignore both. I don't like BBC either, anyways. Yea random tangent. xD

I like BBC Sherlock, so I was planning on at least watching a few episodes of Elementary whenever I got around to it. Yeah.. I expected the two fandoms to fight each other. =w= Man. Sometimes I just wonder why I bother.

It's like "oh if you like elementary you're a dumbass who doesn't appreciate british television" and "oh if you like BBC you're a pressed sexist racist a*****e." The conversations /are/ that stupid. xD I'm really glad I'm not a part of either fandom right now.

I've always liked the Sherlock stories when I was younger, and the cartoon Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century, and then House, and then the Robert Downey Jr. movies, then BBC. I mean, I'm not like on the hardcore Sir Conan Doyle fans, but I did really liked it. Glad for the publicity. Peeved at the fans. Slightly annoyed by all the shipping. And then I had to agree with the shippings because they made sense in the newer adaptations. They were just bros in my book until a little bit of House and pretty much Robert Downey Jr.

t h e C a r d M a s t e r True. A lot of the fandoms are getting worse too. You don't even want to look at the MLP fandom these days. And I've seen some frightening things from BBC/Homestuck coming out. xD I do like some of the stories I've read so far, though I need to read the novel. I don't mind some shipping, as long as they do it in a logical sort of way. If it's just "OH LOOK THEY'RE GAY" in the Victorian Era, then... no... they can't just run around being gay. That s**t gets you jailed. xD But I've seen some where they incorporate all the factors very well, and I appreciate that. Same with BBC and the modern adaptations. I don't like them just being ******** ME RIGHT NOW. Because things don't work that way. But a lot of the times, I just like the silly kind of shipping. :3 Like Robert Downey Jr's Holmes. It's hilarious, him and Jude Law. xD They do a good job with the domestic bickery kind of bromance in the movie.

God like the s**t Lexy was pulling on Gaia was bad enough. Seriously, if you start mentioning anything about relationships like sexuality or the ******** quadrant, you can get some bat s**t responses. Or hell. Even the ******** race of the kids caused a s**t riot. I just assumed they were white because their skin was literally white every time you see them. Every single time. True, man. And depending on how early during the time period, it could have been a death sentence instead of imprisonment. Though then there was chemical castration later. But then again, if you read a few Victorian literature, homoerotic doesn't even begin to describe it. XD

t h e C a r d M a s t e r I don't remember the Lexy thing. o: But yeah, it's like, I don't understand half the homestuck references since I don't read the comic, but I do remember getting beaten down by multiple homestucks for not liking it. >A>; That's a big problem with a lot of the big fandoms + Elementary. It's like if you don't like it, you're automatically SHUNNED 5EVA ON THE INTERWEBS. >>; And don't get me started on those Social Justice assholes on ******** Tumblr jesus christ you can't even say what you'd normally say without them screaming "ABLEIST! SLUT SHAMING! FAT SHAMING! TRANS SHAMING!!!!" even when you're not. My friend was flamed for saying "wow this is retarded". And then there's TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR EVERYTHING. 8D I hate those. ******** trigger warnings. Especially the ones who are like "um trigger warning your cursing no one should be cursing on the internet" -- yeah I saw this and... yeah. They're gonna have a hard time avoiding that... Sorry. Rant/Tangent. I love and hate Tumblr... so much... Yeah, someone even wrote a fic where Victorian Era London had a gay community. And everyone knew they were gay and I'm just like how are they not dead/burned to the ground/in prison? xD I love unknowingly homoerotic things. I dunno. It's great. I do appreciate all the silly fanservice Jude & RDJ give us as well. It was hilarious when my friend showed me the video of them nearly kissing after a scene I was pretty much going "WAIT WHAT WHY". You should give me some of that Victorian Literature. ;D ROFL.

Lexy is one of the main artists for Homestucks for the bigger animations. Hussie noticed the candy horns on Gaia and also the zodiac mood bubbles which corresponded with the trolls' blood colour and the mood bubbles with the beta kids' symbols. He said he tried contacting Gaia about it to try to get it removed, because they were references to his character. They didn't respond. Hussie said he was busy, so Lexy took over. She made a petition and a huge deal about how Gaia was making money [because the mood bubbles came from a mini-bubble-RIG] off Hussie's idea without giving him credit or money. If I remember correctly, she made like a new account for the petition, and spread word via tumblr, and fans just got on their unused and old accounts to sign the petition. But then someone pointed out that the candy horns were actually old horns that Gaia had before, just recoloured. And of course, Gaia always makes homages to various things. Plus, Hussie does use copyrighted pictures for Homestuck, and he does make money off of Homestuck, so the same argument could be used against him. All in all, just a bunch of retarded Homestuck fans.
Yeah. I make a joke -against- a fandom, and fans freak out against me. Like, they don't understand. I have to be a fan to understand the reference and create a joke about it. Like for BBC Sherlock, when my friends went around the school with yellow chalk and wrote "I believe in Sherlock Holmes", I went around with chalk writing "I believe in Richard Brooks." or "Sir Lie-a-lot". They knew it was me and were so pissed. I may be part of a fandom, but I'm the little douche on the side who laughs because I know all the right buttons to push to piss off anyone in the fandom.
Tumblr is filled with the salt of the earth. Sometimes it's the crummy salt that dried on your skin after jumping into the ocean. Sometimes it's the awesome salt that makes food taste so much better. But really, tumblr is really filled with people of the same mindset. Of course there're others, but those folks are on the fringes. Pretty much a form of elitism fills in, as if someone does or thinks differently, they're shot down by a million arrows of hate mail. Of course, they're decent people, it's just the way people act, or overreact, in general. Of course people need to be stern and point out that what some say is rude and offensive, but we don't need to yell and act childish, bringing the point of social justice to a comedic farce.
Aaaaand I just realized I'm going off on a long tangent. OFF TO VICTORIAN HOMOEROTICISM.
Victorian era London did have a few [maybe more?] gay uh.. circles? Can't say community, 'cause they weren't big and definitely not open. They were open to.. each other, and it was kinda known to a certain extent outside... Rich people always had like secret gay s**t going on in the background. Like seriously, look at any royal line of a European country, and there're various lovers all over the place.
Oh man. I watched a few interviews of them, and they just bromance hard.

t h e C a r d M a s t e r Ah. That. I remember that. I feel like it was a parody item, so it was alright and nothing to sue over. However, asking permission is always good, so long as the item is copyrighted by said person. I highly doubt Hussie can copyright candy corn horns. I see them in multiple places non-Homestuck related, so... yeah... He isn't the first to come up with it. Just the most popular. And exactly. I love the fandoms I'm in. But I also love seeing jokes and prodding fun at them. How secure are they in their fandom if they can't even d**k around a bit? What fun is it spending all your time getting offended and over-defending something rather than having fun with it? Or if you make fun of a ship you like, and others froth at the mouth because of it. It's like, wow chill? I love ships as much as the next person, but I don't spend my life defending something that isn't even canon. Do I joke about those things going "STOP BLOWING HOLES IN MY SHIP!!"? Yes. Do I take it seriously? No. Of course ******** Tony and Steve aren't together. Of course I don't want Jude Law and RDJ to leave their respectful love lives to get together. It's /just fun and bromance and rainbows/. .___.'' People don't seem to get what that means anymore. FANDOMS ARE SRS BSNS!! And I totally get the whole offensive thing. I do make sure to tag my stuff appropriately like "nsfw" and whatnot when I post it, though I don't use "tw", I think it's silly. But if someone just says "hey this is kind of a squick, can you tag it "gore" or something so I can saviour it?" then yeah, sure I'll do that. But if someone goes in going "WOW YOU NEED TO TRIGGER WARNING THIS IT COULD GIVE SMALL CHILDREN SEIZURES BECAUSE IT HAS BLOOD AND YOU'RE OFFENSIVE AND MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOUL." ...yeah no. xD Not gonna happen. && Hm, yeah that makes sense. It's just the way the story wrote it made it seem like it was in modern times. The police were in there and everything...? It was like the Castro District in San Fran, which I highly doubt would really work in that era unless the police were gay too? Hell, let's make everyone gay. xD Some sure dressed like it. And yes, they bromance so hard. They know. They really do. xDD I mean, really... "Judesie"? Come on now. LOL

Haha. I love when canons destroy ships. It's like the fun time for me in a fandom. Especially lately in Homestuck. Though, it was a definite perk that one of my own ships is more canon now. There's also all the tears of another popular ship breaking down. twisted
I NO RITE? BETER GIT IT RITE
"YOU'RE OFFENSIVE AND MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON YOUR SOUL." Oh gawd. XD Sound like a bible-thumper right there. Oh man. Religion and the internet. It's like wow. Really?
Dude. I love it in stories when the author can't decide how many gay or bi people to make, so they just make a HUGE percentage gay or bi.

And when they do... bring me the poppedcorn. xD && Hhaah! That's great, you lucky lucky Card. ;D You get all the ships! Oh man, you haven't even seen the half of it. There's some blog I found that was like "beating down pro choicers with logic!" and one of the first posts was "You didn't condone the holocaust, did you?" And EVERY one of their posts is absolutely ridiculous and I'm just sitting here like... why would you bring your conservative views onto a mostly liberal blogging site...? rolleyes Dude yes. I don't mind the straight couples, but a little bi/gay can make the whole thing a lot more FABULOUS~! /shot xD

D: Though mainly it's just my favorite characters who die. It's really annoying. xD It's like a curse. && I know right? Most of it is people actually replying with logical rebuttals, but then the freaking person replies with horrible faked videos of "abortions" when really... it's not the surgeon ripping out a baby and throwing it in the trash...? Honestly, some people. : And then they were like "YOU BLEND YOUR BABIES WHEN YOU ABORT THEM" and stuff and it's just really awful... it's basically illegal to get abortions in your 2nd and 3rd trimester anyways??? Unless you're actually gonna die? And it doesn't take women until the 3rd trimester to decide whether or not they want the kid. And even then, the person was like "MEN HATE WHEN YOU ABORT YOUR BABIES" ...and then a bunch of men replied with "yeah well, I wouldn't mind, as long as we talked because it's her body." which actually made me happy. xD Sorry long rant. She actually gets fan mail though. Some people do go like "I love your blog! Way to take down those liberal murderers!" and stuff. .__. I wonder why they're on tumblr. Oooh, that sounds fun. xD It's like "Where's Waldo", but... more fun. LOL

Yeah. Then there's also the issue of if the man wants the child, but the woman wants to abort. Like, what then? Abort? C-section and move to a surrogate? Have the child anyways?
Haha. Always amazes me to see how wide the spectrum on the internet can be. Like seriously, it's nice to talk to people with similar ideals as you, but if you meet someone with differing views, it's actually fun to talk to them. People act so civil when they aren't in a mob or on the internet.
Oh man. Sometimes he just sneaks relationships, that you have to pay attention to catch. Or there'd be like foreshadowing. That or there's just some really ******** up s**t going on that is hinted and you really would rather not touch.

t h e C a r d M a s t e r You should. I wonder how long the list would be. xD && Yeah, that's when the couple talks about it. The person made it out like couples don't talk about if they want to abort? I mean, really...? Most couples do. It's a serious issue and the boyfriend/husband does deserve to have a say if they're in a relationship. .___. And then when someone asked "what if it was rape" then she replied "well maybe the woman shouldn't have dressed like a whore". That made me. So mad.You have no idea. >>; And they even went as far to say "if you got pregnant and don't want it maybe you shouldn't have let a man use you like the slut you are." And I'm?? So ******** mad?? What are some of these people's DEAL!? Do they know half the s**t they spew? I don't mind if people are pro life and I don't mind if people have differing views. It makes things less boring, but when they start to say s**t like this, that's when I don't even want to continue the conversation. If they aren't respectful of other viewpoints and talk s**t like that then no, I won't speak with them. They aren't mature enough and not worth my time. : Sorry it's touchy. As far as fandoms go though, yeah I like talking to people with differing views so long as they aren't dicks about it. xD Oooh, the hints are the most fun though! ;D
