Her eyes darted back to Reeve having heard that he had no home. Though her own home was nothing fancy, it didn't seem right for he not to have something to call a home.

"Why not? If you like, I can sort out a second room...wouldn't take but a moment."

Reeve shrugged as he put down the empty cup. "I just haven't. I've been wandering around for about... 12 years? I normally just sleep outside." He tilted his head a bit when she offered a second room. "I'm afraid I can not allow myself to accept that offer. I wouldn't want to put that much of a burden on a person." He smiled to her warmly. "Besides, I'm used to sleeping outside... I have adapted, so to speak."

"But .." she began to protest, but decided to listen instead. As he finished his thoughts, she nodded silently. Staring blankly at her own cup for a moment, she answered quietly; "I understand."

Reeve listened to the silence for a moment. "You seem rather depressed now, might I ask why?" There were somethings that confused him, mainly it was human emotions. It seemed the more he tried to figure them out, the more complicated they got.

She shifted the way she was seated in her chair, still staring at her near-empty cup of tea. Having spent over a decade as an apprentice of magic, she knew the feeling of being a burdon on another and would not wish anyone to feel they owed her anything.

"It's just that I was essentially dumped on some wizard's doorstep when I was young, abandonded by my family. Over the years he often reminded me that he kept me around for free labor and to prevent me from hurting others with magic. I hated him for saying such things." she paused, inhaling deeply. "Those days are long over now, I was able to complete my training and now I can roam wherever I choose."

"I see..." He said after hearing her story. Reeve messed up his hair a bit, making it fall in front of hie eyes, then removed his blindfol. "What is truely a sad story, but at least now you are free to do as you wish. If there is one thing I have learned, it is that freedom is the only luxury most have." He set the blindfold on the table and opened it, allowing it to air out a bit.

"Is it uncomfortable to wear that all the time? I must admit at first I was confused since you were covering your eyes but then you confirmed that you cannot see. I apologize if this is rude, but is there a reason you cover your eyes?" she asked quietly, hoping her curiosity would not upset him.

"You get used to certain things..." Reeve lifted up his head a bit. "I wear it for two reason. One, is because people tend to leave me alone if they know I'm blind, and sometimes thats what I want. The other reason is because my eyes are not much to look at, and sometimes they bring negative attention to me. I try to hide them as much as possible, so as not to have people stare at me." He smiled, his hair covering his eyes almost perfectly.

"It seems somewhat illogical. I would think that having the blindfold would draw more attention to you than not. Right now, for example, if I did not already know you were blind, I would not have any guess, since your cane looks just like any other and with your hair over yuor eyes like that, you look like any other person, in my opinion." as she finished, she felt she had gone too far in her explanation. With a nervous smile, she seemed to shrink in her chair. "Sorry, I did not mean to go on like that."

Reeve chuckled a bit. "Yes, people do look at me more if I weaer the blindfold, but the only thought they get about it is that I'm blind. When they actually see my eyes, they tend to stare at me, pester me and sometimes think of me oddly. I don't understand why, but it happens." He smiled again. "And you need not be nervous with me."

With a nervous chuckle, she shook her head. "Easier said than done, I'm afraid. I am rather shy, despite having rather hit things off with you. Sometimes I will become uncomfortable and feel more shy because I feel I have said or done something wrong. I try not to bother people, but often feel that I do .. I am sure you understand."

"Ah, indeed I do. I'm not shy, but I have this terrible feeling like I bother people somehow, even when I have done nothing." He smiled and stood up, then walked over to her and extended his hand a bit. "I am afriad that I must be going though, it was nice speaking with you."

Ziven rose also, and took his hand in hers for a moment.

"I hope you have a good evening. It has been a pleasure spending time with you." she said cheerfully. Very softly, she added; "Perhaps we shall do this again sometime."

Reeve took her hand and kissed the top of it lightly. "Indeed, I hope soon too. Your really the only person I have met here who carries on a long coversation." He smiled and released her hand. "Have a good evening, Ziven." Turning, he grabbed his blindfold and began to walk towards the door.

An odd feeling rushed through her at the act of kissing her hand. No one had ever given a farewell in such a personal way to her before. Immedately her cheeks turned bright red and she found herself feeling thankful that he could not see this.

"Good night Reeve." she said softly. As he exited, she slowly sunk back in to her chair, staring blankly at her near-empty and now quite cold cup of tea. With a small sigh, she tapped the cup lightly with her finger, which lead to the cup being filled with warm tea once more. She then reached in to her pocket and pulled out a book to read, planning on remaining there for a while longer.
