Hahaha nice.

I used her to heal for a while, then think I switched to the brute force method.

See, I never much healed in that game for some reason. I managed to get by slaughtering things mercilessly and using items to heal between battles.

I also was apparently the only person not to like Aeris much for some reason.

On my first play through I never leveled her because I knew the inevitable, but she is actually a ballin' character.

I totally think they should remake this for PS3. This game with nicer graphics would be most excellent.

I know, it's disappointing, no matter how many times I play this game, I really secretly hope she won't die. ********, now I'm gonna have to make Barrett my healing b***h. Ugh.

I secretly hope she'll die FASTER every time I play the game.

Doesn't stop me from getting her limit breaks maxed out though. Great Gospel is an 'I win' button, but if you've been grinding her that hard you shouldn't have any trouble winning any fight up through the Ancient Temple anyways. I always felt Fury Brand was more useful just because it made wiping things go a lot faster.

I've always felt guilt for not playing FF7.

But after trying out FF8 when it came out, I realized RPG's weren't my cup of tea. But sometimes I sit down and think about downloading it or something.

Argh ******** Godo, I have no idea how you're supposed to beat him. I'm dealing enough damage, but he ******** heals after every 2 attacks, making any damage i've done useless. Fark.

Shouldn't feel guilty for it just because it's one of the most popularized ones out there. There are a lot of RPGs that do it better as far as gameplay and story goes, and some that do it better for customizability and personalization of your characters. But FF7 did fairly well in all categories, and being the first 'big' RPG promoted on the PSX made it kind of an opener for a lot of people who hadn't been into them before.

FF8 was definitely two halves of two wholes. The story was good, up to a point; there were several parts where it just went from good to s**t, and then from s**t to good, without much in between, and the gameplay had some interesting elements but as a whole I found it to be fairly weak in comparison to other Final Fantasy games. When I think back at it, I feel like I should have enjoyed it more because it did have a strong storyline... but the weak main character and relatively clumsy battle system kept me from liking it as much as I wanted to.

If you're not poisoning him you're making it harder than it has to be. Especially if you're doing it at the earliest possible point you can.

...then again, this is coming from someone who decided on one playthrough he'd rather kill the Zolom than chase chocobos all day.

I got him, I had to sit it out until he ran out of MP. How sad.

FF7 got me into rpgs, I won't lie. I almost went through "Sephiroth is awesome phase", but I was too smart to enter into fandom. Aeris dying sucked, cause I never played a game where a character who is a friend suddenly dies.

FF8 was awesome cause it was the first FF game I ever owned and was able to play through. I didn't care much for analyzing like others. I just played it and enjoyed it, using guides off the internet to get the ultimate weapons and other stuff. I must say, it was awesome when you found that ship in space.

Though I always thought Barret was awesome.

FF4 was the first game that made me want to buy an RPG. But the store didn't have it when I went, so I ended up settling on Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

Maaaaan. Talk about 'baby's first RPG'. Had its high points, but it was really simplified even though it had things like enemies being weak to specific weapon and magic types.

Still feel that FF6 is the best overall in the franchise.

I'm biased towards FFIV due to nostalgia. It's the game that made me want to learn to read as a kid. It's still one of my favorite games, despite the lack of difficulty. <3

Of course, FFVI is the best game in the serious by far.

Golden Sun was my first RPG, if you don't count Pokemon.
