Malik's head jerked upstairs, and he verifiable snarled. Piper's distress was felt, her sorrow, her remorse. only one person could be getting all that out of her at once. his bandaged hand clenched, hard enough to draw blood and too see it seeping along his arms bandaging as well from teh flexing of burnt skin and muscle.
"I swear to Innoruuk I'm going to rip that drow's throat clear out of her neck.."
And that's exactly where he started heading toward.

Kieran had looked as well, though he was quiet all the same. But Malik's reaction was enough for him to know that it wasn't something good. Turning, Kieran caught him by the arm. "Malik...don't rescue her just yet." To which he merely kept his gaze leveled on Malik. Yes, he wasn't ignorant, he could feel it too from his daughter. Kieran was quite wise to distress from his daughter on other manners. "What's going to upset her more...Zahara being angry at her for a time, or you and Zahara getting into a brawl, and only hurting each other?" Always the first route for Kieran, try to reason.

"So you took matters into your own hands and now you want me to pardon you and tell that it was okay. Because you meant no ill will." She shook her head, "I'm not fond of humans but they have one saying that I think comes into play rather nicely, 'the road to Hell is paved with good intentions." She let the words sink in for a moment and then snarled, "I assumed the worst and you forced things to happen that never should have." A shake of her head and she began advancing on the surface elf. "But you never answered me Piper, have you left all your surface tendencies behind? Are you full blown drow now?" Her hands tightened slightly and she came closer and closer to that chair. "You will pay for your crimes Piper. How do you think that should happen?"

"There won't be a fight, I'll kill her. I'll rip her tongue out of her mouth and break every bone in her spine just to hear them break."
Oh he was livid. he'd warned her, not to go near Piper. this was his doing, not hers, the blame resides with him.
"I talked her into it, I pulled the strings. she has no reason to attack Piper other than she's just to cowardly to attack a man who she knows will fight back. no, she goes after Piper when she's vulnerable."
He looked at the arm Kieran held, and then back at Kieran.
"How can you stand there. that's a drow priestess in that room with your daughter. I'm sure you know exactly what that can mean."

"I never asked for pardon, only for a semblence of understanding. Do you think I like to hear you berate me at every turn on my own doings with men?" A shake of her head. "Aren't you the one who came to me...speaking of your wants and needs, yet saying that the thing you would would not give in?" Though she backed down at the snarl, not expecting her supposed friend to veritably start in on her with ferality. But even as she took to advancing, Piper didn't budge or step back. "Surface elves in the Underdark can only survive for so long...isn't that what you drow say? Shouldn't you expect it to come to pass...twenty years down here...you'd think it was about time?" Perhaps agreeing only because she couldn't justify her own answers. Still not another move, posture only tensing more at further advance. "Seems you've already made up your mind on how you wish to do that...but do not expect me to tuck my tail between my legs and take it..." Piper swallowed. "If I am drow...then I pay for my crimes like and as a drow...don't I?"
"If she was to kill her...you and I both know she would of done it already. Struck with the fiercesness and directness of her kind." Logic was indeed true there, though he wouldn't deny that it did cut a little that Malik had questioned him that way, as if he didn't care. "And if you were to kill her Malik? What would that mean for Piper?" Malik knew what he was getting at with that one, and yes he was making mention of a rather surface elven frailty. "How much are you willing to sacrifice of her?" Still holding fast to Malik, yet not overbearingly so. "And yes, I do know exactly what that means..." Means Piper could get the a** kicking of her life, even killed...of course Kieran wouldn't let it come to that.

"Drow women like to play games with thier prey. they like to poke the wounded animals and men they have for sport. She's probably loving tormenting her when she is vulnerable, from her collar being removed."
His lips still curled in a light snarl or viciousness.
"I don't trust that woman any farther than I trust Kimmuriel. I only tolerate her existance in my home becuase Piper wants her here and finds a friendship with her. Zahara is stepping beyond her bounds in my House."
Though his eyes moved back to Kierans.
"I sacrifice nothing of Piper. But I also will not break my word. I told Zahara and Sevilin both if they went after her they would suffer for it. This was my doing, not Piper's. if they have anger or issues, they deal with me. this is my House, and I take responsibilty for the actions therein."
But at least he wasn't trying to forcibly pull away from Kieran. Trying to fight his way free would only get himself furtherly injured.

"A semblance of understanding..." she watched her for a moment and then sighed, "I told you that as my friend and you chose to use it against me. And not only did you use it against but you also brought Sevilin into it as well. Do you really expect me to believe that what you did was not to make him miserable? Not to upset him and pay him back for his insults and the continued lack of respect he shows? You may have had good intentions in mind Piper, but you also had some darkness involved with your deed." She brushed her hands together and then raised an eyebrow, "Do you really think I'm going to punish you? Betrayal can only be punished by immediate death Piper but I myself am not a true drow so that rule does not apply." Watching her very closely, almost admiring the show of courage. Good for her, she shouldn't back down just because someone gets in her face yet that's what it always seemed like she did. "You lied to me, purposely misled me into thinking that the rope rune was gone when in fact you did something else, didn't you? And you allowed Malik to scheme knowing of his hatred and his wish to harm me. Did you ever consider the ramifications of your deed Piper? Do you have any idea what could have gone wrong?"

"You just said it yourself. Piper wants her to be here...go in there and tear her apart or even into her, turn her away from here, and you hurt Piper. And I know you know that." It was a difficult matter to deal with, wasn't it? "Should she walk out of her own free will...she will have hurt the girl on her own...and she's going to need someone then to go to, find comfort in...how is that to be you if you aid in Zahara's flight? You know she will not come to me, that leaves you." Much as Kieran would hate to admit it, there were just some things that naturally a lover replaced from parents. "Of you will not break your word to Sevilin and Zahara then do not break it to Piper either." For Kieran remembered hearing a certain true. However, he let go of his hold on Malik. "I suggest you think hard before you move." Let him go be close enough to intervene should things go horribly wrong, yes...though Kieran was no fool on this matter at all.
"Do you expect me to deny it? Justify it I may, but deny it I do not. Yes, I knew exactly what I was doing, what would happen...and I did it anyway...you should be proud, shouldn't you?" It was kind of like kicking herself in the stomach, after all she prided herself on being a surface elf surviving as any drow might down here and now she was stomping on that very idea. "Hurt Sevilin and teach you a lesson all in one stroke...effective as any drow born thought." Malik may of talked her into it, but by Piper's nature she took her own responsibilities. She didn't have to do it, he didn't force her. "Yes...I lied to you, I scribed onto your person a rune. And yes, I berated myself over my choices, but once done there was no going back. I knew that if things got out of hand because of those actions, the harm that would occur..." She knew, Malik had gotten ear fulls of it. "Take your payment if you speak so vehemently on it..."

Zahara remained where she was and listened for a moment then nodded. "At least you're not trying to pass the blame, shows that there's a slight bit of surface left in you." So she'd scribed a rune, Zahara had pretty much concluded that same thing, she'd just assumed that a rune had been used to remove the rope rune. How very wrong she'd been. Her thoughts ran back over the day that had occurred because of Malik and Piper's scheming and she was quiet for a long time. "It is indeed, get your revenge and yet prove your point. True drow thinking again but I will not be proud of you for such thoughts now will I give you felicitations. You don't want to be drow, Piper. What sets you apart is your kindness, the common need to be there and do things for others. That's why you are such a rare gem in this place of darkness." But she hesitated for the slightest moment and then raised her hand and slapped her full across the cheek one time. "Payment exacted. You have nothing more to fear from me Piper." Her guilt and obvious remorse in light of her actions was enough for Zahara. She, however, was still furious with Malik. Physical retribution had never been in mind for Piper and she did still trust her, even though it was a little rougher now.

Malik's eyes narrowed. if his emotions were kindling, he'd be a bonfire right now. almost rabid. Oh let her come down here and say one word. one damned word. and he would break her in half..before his eyes shifted to Kieran, while his voice remained reasonably calm.
"you play a dangerous game, Kieran. to break word to piper is too lose her precious trust. but to break my word of punishment to Zahara will only give her the frame of mind that my threats are empty. which is equal as dangerous to me as losing Piper's trust."
then a glance at his arm.
"So what exactly did sevilin put in you, or do you know?"

It was almost cruelly ironic...how words that were meant in good will and spoke of good character in a place where it was lacking, were punctuated with a slap that inside snapped her head to the side. Though she didn't bring her eyes back to Zahara, merely stared at the far wall a moment, feeling the sting in her skin from both slap and sudden movement of her neck with the slap. Yeah she deserved that. Though she never lost face with it...didn't threaten to cry nor rise up anger in retaliation. "Pity that even in all that trouble...it was for nothing." Deed done, but lesson not learned, at least Zahara hadn't said otherwise that it had been. Trouble for nothing in return. Pointless. A clench of her hand on her collar before she turned on her boot heel, walking away from the drow.
Most would of called the moon elf foolish for his debates with a drow that was obviously on the verge of virtually ripping though anything that displeased him. Malik's temper was no secret to anyone wither. Kieran nodded at him at his statement. "Then you know exactly what your interference can cause what what it cannot...you just have to think if one or the other is more worth it."
Then he merely watched Malik for a moment as he changed the subject, almost casually. "I in fact don't know...though I assume I will find out soon enough won't I?" Yes all he knew was that Sevilin had used a specific transfer method and he had waited a bit long to do something about it. Fast acting little method. But why lie to Malik he probably suspected from the beginning. Though his attention diveted some in the shift of things he was picking up.

Zahara watched Piper leave the room but made no moves to follow her. She had a lot of thinking to do, a lot of soul searching so to speak and it wouldn't do her any good to follow the surface elf now anyway. Piper needed time alone and Zahara understood that better than most. Her hand stung slightly from the force of the slap and she rubbed at it thoughtfully. Rightfully she should have been able to exact her payment in blood but Piper had been through enough. Just the fact that she'd felt guilty separated her from most drow anyway. There would be time for making up between them soon enough. But now, she needed a bit of comfort herself, so she made her way back to the stables, petting at the foals and the little fawn distractedly handing out sugar.

Malik's glare watched Zahara...before glancing to Kieran.
"I woudl first look to muscle relaxers, slow acting nerve toxins. he calls he games with you hunting, but he can't catch you. it's probably somehting to make sure that if he gets that shot in, that he can catch you later."
Oh it was taking a great deal of willpower not to go right after that drow woman and beat her within an inch of her life. but first he wanted to see Piper and what she looked like, make sure she was alright. then he'd keep his word to the drow wench.

Piper merely rather stoicly walked her way to her room, taking a seat on the edge of the bed, setting her collar beside herself. Fingers came up to delicately touch at her cheek which was still stining. She supposed that she got off relatively easy...though her end had not justified its means, seeing as her whole reasoning for going through with it had seemed to be null. She should be more upset than she was right now...perhaps even crying...a surface elf would. But she didn't feel the need to...felt the pain of her called out betrayal, but didn't feel so undone as she thought she should feel.
" Well he caught me, didn't he? I give him that. But like I said...unless he tells me himself then I really have no way of knowing until I start showing symptoms. Spare Piper of the detail." Though he seemed none too worried about it did he? Well Kieran was easy going...but also because there was no reason to get chaotic and panicy about it. Make poisons or whatever travel faster. Wouldn't really be the first time...A little nod of his head as he seemed to catch Malik's look at Zahara. "Remember what you stand to stress..."
Sugar! Hey they were happy to oblidge her with little nickers and bits of affection if it got them sugar. Not that mom and dad may be too pleased with a ensuing sugar hype but they didn't particularly care either. Attention was always good, especially since it had seemed lacking lately. This was oh so nice.

Zahara had quite a bit running through her mind right now. She was worried about Sevilin, angry at him as well and furious with Malik. Not so much mad at Piper as resolved. Yes, she'd lied to her, betrayed her trust, and taken matters into her own hands. She'd deserved the slap and so much more but Zahara got no enjoyment out of watching her suffer. Indeed she was more confused than anything else. She'd learned a lot about sex from her experience, a lot of things that she hadn't known before due to her previous tastes. But had she learned enough to justify what Piper had done? That was a tricky question. And Sevilin, he'd really hurt her...and she couldn't understand why. She'd never actually gotten her feelings hurt before, so she didn't realize that that's what the ache in her chest was, but indeed. His harsh words meant to make her leave had accomplished their purpose and hurt her at the same time. And now she still had instincts to handle. They were going to come back with a vengeance and she was going to have to do something about them. A human wouldn't work, they couldn't keep up with her and her other options were Sevilin and Malik. Malik wasn't even an option and not only because he belonged to Piper. She couldn't sleep with Malik. But then there was Sevilin, who wouldn't even let her touch him much less sleep with him again.
Malik's words came back and she remembered how angry the other drow had gotten. Was that because Malik was slandering him, or had he hit a nerve? Had he actually been somewhat willing and the drugs only increased his susceptibility to her charms? She didn't know, had no way of knowing but to try again. And if he broke her in half? What then? She'd be no closer to her goal but she would at least know for sure that Sevilin had no interest in being with her whatsoever. It was all so very confusing but she attempted to muddle through it, attempted to correlate the emotions racing through her with recent events and come up with some sort of a solution. Kimmuriel was an option if it came down to it. He was a drow, he appeared to be concerned for her safety, Sevilin didn't like him...wait a minute. Was she planning on using him to make Sevilin jealous? That was a life in itself. She'd really gone off the deep end now. Shaking her head and idly petting at manes, tails and feathers that drifted by, her mind whirred with these thoughts and thoughts similar trying to figure it all out.
