He looked at the vial, then back at her, then at the vial again. another bit of effort, and sat himself up and you could almost hear the dampness in teh moving sheets, and rested his head back one he sat up, breathing a bit heavily.
"You know. the cure is almost worse than the poison."
but anyway..down teh hatch it went, and he made a face, and starting coughing as soon as he swallowed it.
"By the abyss and blessed Innoruuk that stuff is worse than the first one you gave me! what she didn't have time to at least try to mask that taste any?"
But it worked fast. sweat started to slow..his body temperature dropped from burning hot to only mildly feverish. and his pallor got a bit better. and hey, he could move his arm a bit.
"At least it works fast. Of course it woudl have to to counter that venom."

"Nope, and even if she had the time I'm sure I wouldn't let her. I was too fidgety. And the third one is going to be worse than the second, so in two hours brace your stomach for it. I still have that taste in my mouth from the first one." She nodded lightly. "Well I'm glad it works fast, I don't like seeing you like you were at all." Grabbing the chair that was at the desk she dragged it over to the bed. "And you can't rest in wet sheets or clothes for that matter." So she helped him up, getting him from bed to chair and she stripped down the bed, throwing the bedding into a corner for now. A little searching found her fresh bedding and also some clothes for him as well in another drawer. She remade the bed and the like then went over to Malik, working at getting his clothes off. "At least I know you're feeling a bit better, I mean you're reactions are getting back to normal."

He moved like he was made of lead, and once in the chair, it was clear that he had drenched through the sheets indeed. and his clothes were practically glued to him thanks to it, and he helped her get himself undressed, shivering some when the air hit dampened skin, the actuall injury, indeed just a gash in his shoulder, had a kind of blackish look, like charcoaled skin. he used a towel to kind of pat his skin dry though, before looking to the kind of silk pajama look she had..and chuckled lighly.
"Piper, dear..did you notice those were translucent before you grabbed them?"
not that it wouldn't suprise him. after all, his slaves had worn those kind of outfits.

"Nope. But I'm really not caring at this point, besides, it's not like we're going to be messing around tonight." Yes he was definitely feeling better if he was picking out little details like that, and she just chuckled lightly as she helped him dress and then helped him back into bed. "Mr. D'vinn, sometimes I just don't know what to do with you." Said with a smile of course, her hands on her hips before she dropped them and took a moment to move armor and stuff against walls and the like...not something you wanted to trip over first thing in the morning. Though heading back to the bed she stopped for a moment, hands going to her eyes and rubbing as if they were irritated. Ow, kinda hurt. But that only lasted a few seconds and she blinked a few time, the intensity of the gold dying down some more, but still not normal. Okay that passed she took a seat on the edge of the bed once more, watching Malik again. Boy what a day.

She helped him get dressed and back into bed, and watched as she set things aside and organized them and sat herself on teh edge of teh bed. her eyes were gettign dimmer, but still not normal.
"I don't know what I'm going to do with me either. but at least as long as I have you I know I'll be alright in the end. and what do you mean no fooling around? damn I thought I was going to get some sympathy action."
A chuckle, which brought a cough, before he closed his eyes a moment nad just focused on breathing, before his eyes looked back at her.
"You don't need to sit up all night for me, you know. you can lay down with me, I'm not contagious or anything."

She only laughed and shook her head. "You are not up for 'sympathy action' as you are so deeming it. Not tonight anyway." Oh yes, that was confirmation on him getting better. Though with a smile she crawled over the bed and laid down next to him again, one hand resting on his chest. "I'm just worried is all. I mean...I don't like the fact that you're not top notch,so I'm just edgy about it...hovery if you will." Another sigh and she tugged at her collar slightly. "You used to be afraid something was going to take me away from you, well now I'm afraid of something taking you away from me. Let me have my over protective moment. Besides, gotta make sure you take that other dose."

Bode didn't say anything as she was handed to Onyx, as Onyx took her to bed. She fell asleep fine enough, but she kept dreaming of a strange, harsh language, of arrows, andof a pierceing scream followed by a river of black sludge. She woke up several times after that, and she didn't want to fall asleep again, but sleep always caughter her and forced her back into the nightmares.
Moonstone had given up on Ashlyn after a long chase that the griffin seemed to enjoy emensly. He was exaughsted by the time he returned to the inn, and almost fell to the round carpet on the floor, looking for sleep. He fell asleep on his stomack, wings stretched out slightly to cover himself.

Onyx tried his best when she would wake up from her nightmares to soothe and calm his sister, though he also gave a chuckle to the collapsed heap that was Moonstone..but nothing he di dreally seemed to work. after all he wasn't used to being the soothing nad comforting one. he was more the vicious and break things one.
Malik let her have her overprotective moment, beign quiet and just putting an arm around her, kissing her softly. of course after two hours of her checking and worryign about him, and trying to help his fever and like Bode had getting him to eat something, he took the last vial, again coughing and gagging as that stuf went down his throat.
"If I ever meet this Oracle I'm going to smack her just for making me drink that..stuff. I mean for the love of innorruuk that stuff is the foulest, nastiest liquid I have ever even seen."

"No you won't, because I have to see her again and I don't need you making her take out her anger at you on me by making this thing I have to do for her any harder than it is." A flick to his nose then a kiss as they both settled down again. "Get some rest, the tournament isn't going to wait for you to get better." Well out of the four hours of Reverie an elf required each day, Piper managed two...okay more like an hour and a half. But she could catch the rest later. Her internal clock was already pulling her from that trance like state that was a kin to sleep of a human. She made a noise as he rubbed at her eyes a moment and rolled her shoulder back as well. The day would be eventful, she was sure of that.

Bode was up earlier then usual, but she didn't try to wake anybody up. She might have perhaps, had she felt like getting out of bed. She didn't want to get out, but she didn't want to sleep either. Even the prospect of going the games didn't seem like that big of a deal anymore. So she laid on the bed with Onyx, saying nothing, doing nothing.
Ashlyn knew when to keep her distance. Today, she didn't jjump on the bed and swquake in Malik's face, though she dearly wanted to. She came in through an open window on their floor, and sat outside their door. She didn't amke any noises, just to give Master the rest he needed.

Onyx rolled himself over, eyes opening and giving a feline yawn, before focusing on Bode.
"Ready for another day of me beating the snot out of some well deserving guards?"
A slight grin, and a mussing her hair a bit, sitting up and placing her on his lap and looking over at Moonstone.
"I think he has some matches today too. and maybe Piper's archery."
Malik woke, eyes opening slowly, and moved a bit, god he felt like he'd been run over by a herd of longhorned steer that humans loved to use for food. which made him groan abit, but hey, his color was back and he wasn't sweating through his clothing.
"how'd you sleep, piper?"

She was already out of bed and dressed, just then tying her bandana around her ears as Malik's mind decided it had had enough and woke him up. Piper looked over to him with a smile, knowing that that nasty stuff had done or was still doing it's job. Her own problem with her eyes had also cleared up as well, all seemed normal once more. "Morning Malik...I think I got a little under two hours of reverie. You were out for a good five, six last I knew. Which is good, you needed that rest." Of course she would catch hers later at some point...after all, no one liked your mind collapsing on itself and putting you into coma. "Feeling better?"

"Okay, Gaurdian Onyx." Maybe going would help make her forget. She didn't like remebering. Remebering was scary, and sad. "We get to watch Mrs. Piper today?" She was a little afraid that if she met Mrs. Piper. she'd see Mr. Malik, and he was scary right now too...she was still a little afraid that hemight die.
Moonstone yaned, stretched. "I missed yesterday's, but lucky me my contestant was poinsoned before he could show up. So I was moved to today." He wished they had brought back a little more of that antidote, in case one of them got hit with it today. "If I get weapons choice, I'm requesting none. I doubt they'd tip their own hands."

"Yep, we might be getting to watch Piper today. and from what I understand, todays event for me and Malik is combat gladatorial style. which is teams I think, chained together. for once, I'm hoping I get paired with Malik for that one."
Then a grin at Moonstone, and a pat on his shoulder.
"I'd say if you get choice, go daggers. and use the spider fangs. they'll be so scared they still got venom in them it'll be easy pickings."
Malik sat himself up, a bit sluggish, but got himself there.
"Well..on the good side, I'm not feverish of feeling like my insides are boiling. I can see fine, and I'm not pale as a corpse. on teh bad side, I feel like someone just ran me over with a stampede of bison."
A look over at her.
"I see your eyes are better...how are you feeling? think you'll compete today?"

Piper walked over to him with a gentle smile and a melodic laugh, taking his face in her hands, framing it as she pressed a kiss to his forehead. "Good. Now let''s both stay away from rock spiders." The fingers of one hand traced along his ear a moment before she smiled again. "I''m feeling just fine despite the amount of rest I got. Competeing....I don''t know. I do know I''d like a few arrows to miss the targets and hit one king. But you know...that will just cause trouble. I have my pick of elimination rounds." True, the archery portion had been set up in five heats of ten each. Those were taken down to four top archers each to be put into a final round. Simple boring stuff. But now a rather mixed look at him as she asked her question. "Are you competing today?" Half of that said, please don''t the other half said well there''s nothing I can do to stop you.''
