"Nothing of importance." he said as he got up off the bed. He grabbed his phone that was on the floor. He started to wonder about Aria and wanted to know how things were on her side. He hadn't talked to her since the hospital and couldn't even remember what they talked about. He walked back over to the bed and sat next to Victoria, this time not so close as before, since he feared the worst. He looked down at this phone and saw a missed text message. He replied back to it and decided to send Aria one.
Hey Aria. How's things? Let me know what you're doing tonight.
It was short and brief but it got the point across. Dante stared down at his phone but made a comment to Victoria. "Some people are coming over soon. Do you want to stay or do you want to go home? He lifted his head back and leaned against the wall. He looked over at Victoria so it didn't seem like he was avoiding contact with her. That's the last thing that he wanted.

Of course Aria had gotten herself grounded. Hanging out with Daren had been fun, but one night she had stayed out a little too late. She'd thought her parents had gotten a bit better, but after that they reverted back to the way they were. So she'd been grounded, but luckily, she snuck her phone upstairs eveytime her parents left for work.
She checked her messages and noticed one from Dante. She quickly replied: I've been good, hanging out with that character Daren. I'm grounded but I can sneak out ;D. What's up?

Victoria frowned when he replied that it was nothing. She knew it was a lie, but didn't push him on it. She waited as he got up off the bed and got what looked like his phone, sitting down next to her once more. She noticed that it wasn't as close as he had been before, and she felt disappointed, but again stayed silent. She didn't say a thing as he texted someone in his contacts. She was curious to wonder what he was saying and who it was, but felt that was his business only. Besides, she wasn't his girlfriend or anything. She blushed at these thoughts and shoved them away, continuing to watch the wall opposite the bed. She was surprised when he spoke, and quickly replied, "I would rather stay, if that is okay with you." She smiled at him, but saw that once more, he was not looking at her. When he finally did, she stared at him a moment, thinking. She would do whatever it took to spend more time with him, since he was a good friend to her now. "How many people are coming?" This question was from her nervous side, and it was obvious in the way that she said it. Daren had finally gotten out of the hospital and was wanting to spend his time with Aria, but somehow she had gotten herself grounded. He couldn't see her, but he could text her. He pulled out his phone, and quickly typed:
Hey, A. You still in for the night? Wanted to see you (;
He sent it and waited for her to reply, as he sat on his couch watching TV. Nothing was on, and he quickly grew bored.

He smiled with happiness and looked over at her. "No more than four. Maybe Aria too." He picked up his phone and replied to Aria.
Be ready in fifteen minutes.
He placed his phone in his pocket and stood up. He walked in front of Victoria and held her hand. "I have to go get Aria. I'll be back in twenty minutes. But I need you to stay here in case Xavier shows up. Is that fine?" he asked her as he kissed the top of her head. He looked down and admired the beauty of her face. It looked precious but something told him that there were secrets under the top. He smiled once again.

Aria looked at her ceiling as she was laying on her back and reading her messages.
She replied to Dante first: Mkay. Hey can Daren come?
She laughed slightly but she knew Dante would behave himself...or else.
She then replied to Daren: I might sneak out...wanna hang out with me over Dante's?

Victoria grinned back at him when he glanced over at her, and nodded at his answer. She was relieved, and probably showed it. Five or six people wasn't much, and maybe she could get to know Aria better. She watched him as he took her hand, and she didn't pull away, but stood up and squeezed his hand. She showed disappointment when he said that she had to stay at the house. She felt butterflies when he kissed her head, and dazed, she sighed and nodded, a joyful look on her face. "Okay. I will." She snapped out of it quick and glanced up, meeting his eyes once more. She felt the need again, the tug that said mentally, 'Kiss him', but again she refused that voice and gently pulled her hand away, so he wouldn't get the wrong idea. "I'll see you in twenty minutes then, okay?" She tried not to show that she was frightened and nervous that she would have to answer the door to a stranger, but she didn't object. Right now, his friendship meant everything to her, and she didn't want to lose it. Her cheeks burned because she noticed he was examining her. "What is it?" She blurted out loud, embarrassed that they're might be something on her face. Daren felt his phone vibrate and he picked it up, reading it quickly. He frowned when he saw Dante's name. He was the one who had hurt him. He slowly typed, trying not to offend her, since he knew Dante was one of Aria's good friends.
I don't know. I don't want to end up in the hospital again. Is he alright with me? I just wanted to spend time with you, but I guess I can share. (;
Satisfied, he sent it, making sure he had put the flirty words on the end of it so she wouldn't get angry with him. He flipped through channels, glancing out the living room window every so often.

Aria was doing a semi hand stand on her bed; her legs were touching the wall and she was balancing on her upper back and shoulders. Her phone chimed and she picked it up. She laughed loudly and obnoxiously but felt slightly bad afterwards. She knew Dante and Daren didn't quite see eye to eye.
She controlled her laughing and replied:
Yeah, I know. But Dante invited me over to his place and I don't wanna exclude anyone from Aria time ;D Besides, I think Victoria will be there, and if Dante tries anything, I'll just have to kick his a** (: Oh...you should come over here because he's probably picking me up ^_^"

Daren read her message, and laughed when she mentioned Aria time. He frowned, trying to remember who Victoria was. It suddenly came back to him that it was the girl that he had bumped into on the sidewalk a while back. She had been something to look at, but he could tell she was more shy then anything. He perked up at this news that she would be there, and grinned when she mentioned she would beat up Dante if he tried anything with him. He typed his message back, not even having to think of words.
Alright, I'll head over there then. I guess my lady will protect me. (; On my way, looking forward to seeing you. See ya in five.
He sent it and went out the door, locking it behind him. He jogged slowly down the street and turned the corner, remembering the way to Aria's well.

Aria smiled at the message and had just so happened to look at her legs. She was still wearing her pajamas. "Crap! Five minutes!?" She rolled her legs down the wall and shot up, quickly grabbing a simple outfit out of her closet and running into the bathroom. A few moments later she appeared wearing black flared jeans, and pair of old grey converse, and a grey and purple tank top with roses on the front. She glanced in the mirror and then headed downstairs, satisfied. She then walked outside and sat on her porch steps.

Daren arrived at Aria's house on time, and saw her sitting on her porch as he walked up the steps. "Hey, beautiful. You're looking gorgeous, as always." He flirted with her, and sat down beside her on the bench. "So now we are just waiting for Dante, right?" He wondered, glancing at her after he made a face, hoping she hadn't noticed.

"Thanks." Aria slightly blushed, but she played it off. "Yeah, we're waiting for that dork. I'm sorry; I know you're still upset." she added while glancing at Daren.

"It's nothing. Just admiring the beauty that's in this room." Dante said as he walked out the room and down the steps. They slightly creaked with each step that he took. He was disappointed seeing that the house was newer. Dante reached the bottom and turned into the foyer He opened the thick oak door, stepped outside, and locked it behind him. After realized that Victoria would be there by herself, he went back inside, and placed a large knife on the table next to it. "Only use this if you have to." Dante said as he walked back out and relocked the door. He quickly got into his car after he looked at his watch. s**t I'm going to be late! Dante yelled at himself as he peeled out of the driveway. A neighbor looked out his window and Dante gave him a look that told him that he was sorry. The neighbor shook his head and disappeared from sight. Dante sped to Aria's neighborhood, and quickly slowed down as he saw that police were around the corner. They had a car surrounded and he shook his head. He parked out front of the house a few driveways over. He didn't want Aria to get in trouble for sneaking away, and he'd be damned if he was to blame, since he couldn't risk losing that friendship.
He walked down the street towards her gate. His boots clunked on the ground and he fixed his jacket. It was the only thing in his car that he could use to cover up his bare upper body since he used his shirt to bandage Victoria. He walked up to her gate and opened it quietly. He looked onto her porch and noticed that she was there with...Daren. "Look who's out of the hospital." he said as he patted him on the back. "I figured you'd look a lot worse than this." Dante said as he examined his face. Dante looked over at Aria and smiled. "We better get going before your parents realize that you're gone." Dante walked off the porch and waved for the two to follow.

{Sorry to take over your chara Mel D:} Aria gave Daren a small, apologetic glance as the both stood up. "I'd thought you'd look alot worse. So, what'd you have to sacrafice?" Aria asked Dante. Sure, she already knew the answer to the question...or at least she thought she did.

Dante walked down the side walk next to Aria. "My life." Dante laughed a little at his reply. "But no. I had to give up drinking. I guess that's kinda my life." Dante unlocked his car and got inside. He reached over to unlock the door for Aria. He put the key into the ignition and started the car. It turned over with ease and he rolled down his window. "You get to see the new house. My mom went over board since she thought I needed a fresh start." Dante chuckled in between the last part. He pulled onto the road and headed towards Eastern Heights.

Aria glanced back at Daren, who looked as unamused as anyone could. "Well....get a new life." she exhaled. She knew drinking wouldn't be that hard for Dante to give up, but if he wanted to get better, it was going to have to go. "Your momma always goes over board when it comes to you. How is she? I should go see her one of these days."
