For me personally I view the village as the beginning of a decent downward within the guild. It was not the best prepaired village and it just seemed to rub me wrong from the beginning is all.
I can not speak to the others opinions of hate for that village, but that is mine.

meh, I hated that village for the simple fact that. . . they manipulated glass! nothing about the village made sense and all the techniques could be stopped with a rock. . . and if I recall, wasnt the village underwater or something meaning a rock would really screw them over

nah.. they all just hated it ... and those that got lucky to steal techs from it leave it at that >>
I'm pretty sure Entropy will be pushing for it to never be making a reappearance...
so any new members that mention it will have the full wrath of half the Mods..
mainly Entropy..
