For the kazuku abilities you can't use them with out certian hearts. I do believe that is how the techs are worded. So if I have a Suiton heart, I can't use body hardening, just like the anime.

I use the element and series as guides too. My Uchiha has fire and lightning, where my Abumi has wind and earth. I also have a Hoshigaki whish will be purely water. I also hope to get the tree-tailed demon for my Hoshigaki.

Don't tell me...I got rejected for the Seven-Tailed demon for an inactive member, now I have to fight over the Three-tailed demon...I just can't win.

I try to do the same with my characters, keep them to about two elements. Yuan is fire and wind. Kazuma will be all! 3nodding But yeah. I'd really like to see the nature affinity come into play in this guild. That would really bring more interest to the playing field I think, as well as more strategy.

Also, to add to Ryu's observations. The elements for a circle, each element is above a different element and below another element. When you look at an element on this scale, the one below it is the element that it is good against. Like water would be over fire because it is strong against fire techniques. However, when an element is below another, it usually means that that element is weaker than the other, and frequently, if the two are combined, the stronger of the two will take over and become stronger. Like if a fire attack collides with a wind attack or is fired off along with a wind attack, the fire attack will grow and become stronger. That is why the wind attack "Great Breakthrough" in the afterlife states that it can be combined with a fire attack for added ferocity.

I've been RPing like that, when Yuan fought Ella, se launched a wind attack and Yuan launched a fire attack in response and the fire engulfed the wind and grew.

I really wish the guild would hold people to that standard, cause that is the real amazing power of the Kakuzu, is that they can learn all of the elements. No other ninja can do that except for Rinnegan users.

Reaver: Actually... plant isn't an element. Slade Zetsu would be earth/water. When you combine earth and water, you get plant and wood element jutsu. For instance: When Kakashi and Yamato are helping Naruto learn his Wind Shuriken, Yamato reveals that his Mokuton wood element is created by fusing earth and water style jutsu.

Oh, yeah, and I think sharingan users can learn all the elements by copying jutsu from others, but I think that the elements they aren't proficient in are weaker.
