Yeah....see why I asked? I was waaaay off. ^_^;;
eh, people wear things for more reasons than color. it's especially hard with avis because that's all you have to go off of. it would be easier irl to guess. like for example, i have a lot of blue things (bookbag, laptop case, scarves, ect) so even though i might not be wearing blue clothes, it would be easier to guess my favorite color.
Still, I like trying....because unless it's a cosplay....or specifically themed....usually an avvie is mostly the user's favorite color.
specifically themed can cover a lot of things though. i think that this is the first avi in awhile that is mostly blue. it is also specifically themed. although i do usually have blue hair.

Reread the second line in my post, hun. And i know it is a global event. Gaia has done this one before. It's just not one of the ones i'd concider a huge deal. Besides, i was hoping that pirates really didn't talk exactly the way they are stereotypically portrayed. But what do i know?
Actually. The "Arrr" kind of speech that pirates are supposed to have used, they actually never used. That kind of "Pirate" speech came about because an actor in a Hollywood film said it and it stuck.
The majority of the words, yes. but "Arrr"? nope. That's a Hollywood construct. It's why I absolutely REFUSE to say "arr" as part of "talking like a pirate" because it's not actually piratical in any way.
So I stick to things like Rigging, main mast, thar, yer, yew, scurvy, lout, keel-haul, etc. It actually kind of bothers me, "Arr" does. But I know that it's so far ingrained that really being worried or letting it bother me is pointless.
