Ashlyn didn't particularily like taking orders from a cat, so she didn't. In fact, she dumbed the elf just ofer top of Lostagrace, flipping over and landing him on a roof top. Hehe, that'll teach 'im.
Moonstone shook his head. "She's not well. Little sister I mean. She's scared out of her mind, near as I can tell." He held the totem tightly in one hand. "I hope she isn't scared by this."
Warren fell hard onto a roof, taking all of the wind out of him. He sat a moment, gaging and trying to get his breath back. Of all the...had he ever been ignorant, or beligerant to these people? No, certainly not. And they treated him like a sac of lizzard fertalizer. Now he'd have to make the trip on foot. How tedious. Getting off ther oof wasn't a problem. A little sprinkle of sugar and he was able to float down eaily enough. But Lostagrace wasn't a nice town, and he was not particularily stong in anything but his magic. And in his robes, he kind of stood out as a wizzard. And the people of Lostagrace didn't like wizzards.

Piper herself coughed lightly and even gave a shudder. For the love of everything that was holy...that was just wrong. No one should have to taste that junk. Poor Malik had to take it twice more too...and it was supposed to taste even worse the next two times. Oh he wouldn't be happy when he got his sense back. The things she did for love. Another cough and she gave him a rather searching look. Again, couldn't catch what he was saying exactly but took tone as key, as well as his apparent unpleasant reaction. "I know it tastes horrible, but it what you need to stay alive. In an hour, you have to take some more, and two hours after that again." If she had to force it down his throat every time then she would, simple as that. Piper interlaced her fingers with his, her free hand moving to brush hair away from Malik's face, watching him a moment with that gold light that stood out in her eye. Probably not the best thing for a person who was kind of out of it to see, or for already scared children. But her gaze shifted to Bode and she gave the girl a gentle smile. "Thank you Bode, for taking care of him till I got back." And she extended a hand out toward the child in a rather comforting gesture of beckoning her over.

Onyx grumbled, and glided down.
"You damn pincushion, we cna't leave him there."
And down on the ground by Warren, and grabbed him about the waist..and climbed up on the roof again, and a jump and airborne, carrying Warren in one grip.
"Sorry about that. the pincushion doesn't like to pay attention to anyone but Piper. and I guess without Piper, that means no riders either."

Moonstone was trying to get the griffin, but she was proving difficult to get a hold of. Griffins are skilled flyers, after all. "You know Piper is going to be made at you for that!"
Ah, what they hell. It was funny, wasn't it?"
Warren had his hands over his eyes. "I am willing to forgive...man he didn't like flying at all. "Shall I make myself a bit lighter for you?" Although he couldn't have been much to carry as it was. Even so, he took out a bit of sugar and threw it on himself, makeing himself about twenty pounds lighter, and therefore easier to carry.
Bode got up, tears still in her eyes, and ran into Piper's open arms. "Is Mr. Malik okay now, Mrs. Piper? I tried real hard to take care of him, but he kept on getting badder...." The tears spilled over. "I tyhought Mr. Malik was gonna die!"

Piper looped that one arm around Bode and lifted her from the floor, setting her on her knee and using her free hand to brush at the girl''s tears. "If he takes his medicine, which he will, he''ll be just fine Bode. You did a good job taking care of him for me." A hug to the girl, then she pulled her close so that she was resting against her. And her eyes turned back on Malik, the other hand that had been on him bow brushing over his ears again before it came to hold his own hand again, raising his hand to her lips as she kissed his palm. Yeah, she could handle this. She just hoped that this stuff was going to do what it was supposed to and fast for that matter. Of course Piper also hoped her own problem would get on with it''s self and go away. "See liy, I told you I could handle it."

"Okay, that's some nice stuff."
Gliding was the easy part, getting into Deepwater.
"Moon, just ignore the flying pincushion. she'll get hers anyway once Piper hears about her dropping the mage here."
And he landed by the inn, setting Warren down, and wlaked in and up the staris to the shared room from piper and malik.
"How's he doing?"
Malik was still, his breathing slowed but he wasn't thrashing or mumbling in tier'dal..just quiet, relaxing. his eyes were regaining thier former color, but he was still burning hot and the pallidness was still there. but at least his mind wasn't on fire anymore..or at least not so much to affect him.
"Better...thanks to you. I guess now I owe you a life for a life."
He squeezed Piper's hand and gave her a tired but genuine smile, the kind normally reserved for private moments.
"I love you, Piper Silverfeather. And I won't leave you."

She smiled gently back to him, holding his hand to her chest, her cheek resting against the back of his hand. "And I love you Malik D'vinn. I don't intend to let you get away that easily." Of course at that genuine look that she knew he only gave to her, it offset the gold in her eyes, intensifying their current constant glow at the moment. Then she turned her attention to Onyx as he made an appearance. "He's still feverish and pale, but...considering all the babbling and the like of earlier...I'd say he's doing better than just better." For a moment she let go of Malik's hand and picked up Bode, walking over to Onyx and handing him the little girl. Piper knew that Bode found an extreme comfort in Onyx, just by the ways he stuck about him. "She's, not doing to well though, she's awfully upset." Walking back over toward Malik she took the other two vials out, setting them on the nightstand then took a seat on the bed at Malik's side once more.

Onyx nodded lightly, and held Bode up agasint him, glancing at the both of them.
"your griffin tried to deposit the mage in Lostagrace, and Moon is busy trying to wrangle her. I think I''ll take Bode to bed, and if your still going to participate in yur Archery, I''ll be glad to watch you clean a few clocks, now that I''ve seen that bow in action."
Onyx left, carrying Bode, telling her how brave she was and waht a good nurse she''d been.
Malik tried to sit up, but really didn''t have the strength, and looked at Piper''s eyes.
"You had to fight something? and what did you do to your eyes? the gold..it''s glowing...and don''t tell me I have to drink more of that god awful stuff."
A little bit of a face before he coughed lightly, spitting up a bit of blood. just getting it out of the system. of course when you try to charbroil the lungs, some blood is bound to get in there.
"what was the price for my life, Piper? what are you going to have to do in return?"

Looking at Onyx again as he spoke. "Ashlyn would do that wouldn't she? You know if you pet her a bit she's quite compliant." She nodded slightly to him. "If still being the key word there Onyx." As he left with Bode she turned her attention back to Malik who was being inquisitive. Of course him coughing up blood got a frown but she just reached out and wiped the blood from his lips. "Slow down in your questions there, and lay still for that matter." With a sigh she reached out, brushing back his hair again idly. "Well, we had to go to the catacombs to find an oracle who had a cure. Turns out these catacombs were infested with rock spiders. Little ones and kinda big ones. Wasn't really a problem until we ran into this rather big one, took up the whole passage." Piper paused a moment. "Which brings me to my eyes. It was dark and I needed a clear shot at the thing. See, moon elves have gold in their eyes to catch light and hold it...the effect it to make pitch black dark look like day light. Problem is if one sees light greater than the intensity of the light they caught...it causes a sort of flash blindness. Which is why I had Bode make it dark in here." Then a look to the vials on the nightstand. "Yes you do. Two more times. If I have to force it down your throat then I will...and the price for you life was a request of me to...mkae the surface of Labyrinth habitable for the humans. Unlock elements and the like in some fashion...all the oracle said was that she wanted me to help her look for them, and I gave her my word." There, questions answered. Now it was time for her own. "What were you saying before...you sounded almost...scared."

Malik closed his eyes, and took a breath, before opening them, looking up at the canopy of hte bed and the ceiling.
"I thought...I really though I was going to die. the maybe the curse of my family, Cymarron was only part of..that it was still working, and had finally gottne to me. Or that Innoruuk had finally gotten fed up and decided to strike me down."
A look over to her.
"I didn't want you to stay here, and get caught by it. I didn't want to bring you down with me, you or bode. I wanted you to take her and get away. so that you wouldn't suffer a curse or an angry god's wrath."

Piper changed her position so that she was lying next to him now on her side, one hand still on him as if she didn't want to take it away and risk not being able to touch him again. Armor and all, she didn't care right now if she was comfortable or it, he was important right now. "Curses don't affect everyone Malik...or if you look at it this way, Cymarron killed you once already. If your family's curse is to be killed...well you braved it through a loophole. And I'm sure Innoruuk would do worse than kill you for being fed up. I mean, look at what i was doing today...why take you when he can take me from you?" Touching an old subject, back when love was just barely there for them and Malik often mentioned how he didn't want anyone taking her away from him. Then she smiled at him, giving a contented little sigh. "And how many times must I tell you? You're not going to force me away. No matter how much you think it's the best for me, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not afraid of you or anything that has to do with you."

His hand squeezed hers, and kept her hand against him, watching her.
"The first person to ever not be afraid of me. Even Elias and Rand feared me in thier own way..fearing me for what I coudl do to Cymarron. Cymarron feared me..but you never did. you never hated, or feared..you gave me so much back. brought love back into my heart. And what you did today..and staying with me even when I wanted yu to go..risking your death for all you knew..it means moreto me that I can express, love."

"Sometimes the greatest feelings just can't be expressed. They're just felt through the air, and you know they're there. And that's enough." Piper couldn't help but smile at him. She loved these moments, when it was just them and he never though about what the rest of the world thought of him. When he was just her Malik. Then a gentle shake of her head. "I've never been afraid of any of it. Not when you collared me, not when you dropped your false pretenses, not when you screamed at me. But I was afraid today...afraid I was going to lose you." For a moment she looked thoughtful. "Something I've never felt before when it comes to you. And I jumped into the peril, eyes closed, knowing I'd do anything to save you. If that oracle wanted half of my ear to match the other...I would of even given her that."

"Hey I like your ears just the way they are. And I'm sorry for putting you through this. You were right, this was a bad idea and we shouldn't have done it. but now we're here, and you got an archery contest to win, and I will complete this tournament and get another championship just to spite them. and those guards..they are not going to leave the Collosuem. I'll make sure of that."
He lifted up her hand and kissed it softly.
"you s hould get out of your armor, it'll make you sore in the morning, trust me. chainmail isn't the most pleasent to sleep in love."

"It's not like you talked me into it. We were keeping up appearances and all. If anyone needs to apologize its that damn king and his guards...and I think I'd like my payment in pain and perhaps blood." Oh yes, she was quite pissed at these humans here. Might as well weed out the fouler ones anyway. Though he got a skeptical look when he mentioned still competing. "If you intend to compete still...you have to be careful, more so than before. I'm not going to have to face something like this again...it tears me apart." And she was more cautious of her own event. Hell someone's arrow could 'accidentally slip'...and probably into her. But she nodded to him and got up, walking around the bed. First task? She picked up one of those remaining vials and handed it to him. "You need to drink that. I suggest you hold your nose...may not taste as bad." She could at least see if he was going to do it on his own. Then she went about taking off her armor and the like, just now realizing that her shoulders were kind of sore...rapid arrow fire in chainmail...not a common thing for her usually. Pulling open the a dresser drawer, seeing as she remembered she had some clothes there, she pulled out one of the less risque' nightdresses and slipped into it, running a hand through her hair once. A look back to Malik. "Well, drink up."
