Terryn nodded. "It is lovely, honestly." She rolled onto her stomach and gripped her pillow tightly. "Thank you."

"Thank you," corrected Marcus, sitting up. "I wasn't at all sure if you'd agree to come." He stretched. "Would you like to get settled, or are we off to explore the house?"

I was not sure myself... Terryn looked up at him over her shoulder, her eyes still a little tired looking. "I think I would like to rest for a little while. Then we can go and see the gardens perhaps. They looked beautiful from the entrance."

Marcus nodded. "I'll probably go and shower, change into new clothes, and speak to the servants. I have plenty of work here; rest as long as you would like."

Terryn nodded. "You have fun with that." She sat up and waved him over so she could give him a kiss before he left.

OOC: Wasn't shower still a verb, though? Or was it only 'to bathe' and 'to wash'?
Marcus smiled, walked back, and knelt down to kiss Terryn lightly. "You need to be absolutely sprightly come supper," he told her, his voice stern.

"Spritely?" Terryn laughed. "Marcus I have not been spritely since I was five years old." She gave him another kiss and smiled.

OOC: That's going to bother me.
"Work on that, then," replied Marcus with a shrug and a slight smile. "I'll see you soon."

"Sure, I will." Terryn shook her head with an amused smile and closed her eyes, resting rather peacefully after he left.

OOC: Where did the verb 'to shower' come from? Or if the shower was invented first, where did they come up with that word?
Marcus, after freshening up, made his presence known in the castle, and instructed the cook to make a spectacular dinner. He also demanded that the Duchess not hear about his whereabouts, which the servants were fairly used to. Within an hour, half a dozen portly men with pipes appeared at his door, needing to speak about something 'urgent' and 'business-related,' which were antonyms according to Marcus.

((probably from a rain shower or something...a shower is like getting rained on to be clean. what are those pipes for by the way? *interested*))
Terryn woke up around that time, taking the liberty to begin touring the house on her own. It was rather nice, and definitely rather ancient. She got herself a little lost more than once in the many corridors, but luckily always found her way out.

OOC: Some of that Grade B LSD.
Marcus, dismayed, looked out the window. The sun looked dangerously close to setting, and he was still imprisoned in his den by these hoards of irritatingly pompous men. After much deliberation, he pacified each of them sufficiently, bid them goodbye, and stood up to go find Terryn. The sun had set an hour ago.

((shweet! BAAAAA))
Terryn by now was outside on one of the balconies, looking over the gardens and the surrounding forested area. She sighed contentedly noting a small brook that was running along the edge of the woods, shimmering in the moonlight. The whole scene looked very peaceful, very calming.

OOC: Yeah, that's what they said.
Marcus had already ordered a few servants to take the meal out into the garden, and walked outside to decide where they would eat. He heard a soft sigh above him and looked up, breaking into a smile. She did look nice in the moonlight. "Would you mind coming down?"

Terryn looked down at him from the balcony, smiling as she saw him. "I might. It depends on if I get the motivation to do so."
