Mot mused, his eyes glancing around the room before settling to meet Gene's. "One wonders where they find the seeds to put on such amazing parties."

"Uller then?" She echoed, her tail wagging behind her, "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance! I'm Xiuying, though please just call me Xiu!"
When yet another familiar voice joined their growing crowd, the baku's face lit up, and she turned to greet Molan with a warm smile. "Good evening, Molan! I hope you're enjoyi--ah?"
Cutting off her pleasantries, she tilted her head at the boil curiosity, vaguely aware that he...probably wasn't quite feeling that smile that he gave her. Of course, the demon didn't seem like an especially happy-go-lucky type in general, though Xiu couldn't help but find herself a little concerned over her friend's (or so she considered him, though they might have been more like friendly acquaintances) demeanor. However, not wanting to seem to intrusive, she merely tilted her head and shot him a concerned, puzzled look before glancing over towards Etzer and Uller.
"Ah, have fun you two!" Not-so-subtly lifting her camera to take some pictures of the pair, she turned back to the other two boils, looking from one to the other. Lou, she noticed, was rather (surprisingly) quiet.
She gave him a light nudge and, like with Molan, shot him a questioning look.

 "Not even close." Mac answered honestly with a laugh. "Your dress is very distracting. It's very...different, for you. I like it." He looked over his shoulder at the MC as he announced the second part of the dance competition. Tossing their partners? Well damn. He was pretty good at tussling with Hel, but...in front of everyone?
"Well, here goes nothing!" The Reaper knelt enough to grab Hel's waist, hoisting her into the air.

Luckily for Aymet, Amrita was apparently very good at following his lead and not getting too far away. There was a moment of panic the moment her feet left the ground, but she managed to fall right back into his arms, her feet flicking safely back onto the ground.

Steffani heard the bellowing announcement for the dance competition, and looked to Xavier, biting her lip hard. Because while she was mostly certain she couldn't dance, and mostly certain Xavier didn't want to...
It looked like fun!
"Um, if you want to." She nodded a little, grinning. "But I don't know how good I am at dancing, so..." She couldn't promise not to stay off his feet. Sure, she talked a big game with Siku, but... The patchwork never danced in her life.

“Ya, I figured.” Hel teased. “This is swinging, and you are used to prim and proper hoity-toity dances~” She stuck her tongue at him, and then laughed. “Well I shall take that as a compliment then! I thank you kindly. I think you look good too, but those clothes will look even better on the flo—“ Then Hel was hoisted, and she might have squealed. She would deny it though. Deny it to the end. Xavier tried not to have a heart attack in the middle of the dance floor because that would be uncouth.

He trailed off awkwardly and tried to figure out how to do this.

I'm sorry." While Etzer was talking, he put his hands on Molan's waist and hoisted him into the air, attempting to send him to the ceiling with flourish.

Well she hadn't yelled at him, that was a plus... until what followed next. Yep, Etzer might as well have taken a side swipe to Molan's head at that point because she had run off... and no reply to the text meant. Yes, he was being avoided and ignored and he'd done something... She was angry at him. Both ears fell as he sort of stared sadly ahead at that, a bit too stunned for his own good.
Maybe that was why Etzer decided shock therapy would do him some good. Or maybe the demon just wanted to see what would happen if he threw his brother up in the air. Either way, it worked... sort of. "EH!?" He was in the air before he fully realized why, up and rather confused as he watched others sail up just as much. Then. Then glorious, terrible, evil gravity returned and he was heading back down and ooooh jack this was going to be unpleasant.
Minus the falling and getting hurt part. Apparently, though, his brother caught him before he hit the floor. What a gentleboil. Not that Molan looked the least bit swept off his feet. Nope. He was ticked. "Don't you EVER do that again or I wi-" Well he didn't need to finish the threat. Etzer knew.

Steff came out in the middle of the crowd of swinging, airborn ghouls, and realized what was happening. Oh, what an excellent time to come in. Because her stitches were totally good. Right.
Still, she grinned at Xavier, shrugging. "Do what they do, then?" She offered, putting her hands on Xavier's shoulders for the airborn move. But before she could be thrown, the ghoul stepped back, taking a breath.
"Sorry! Sorry. Let's, um, try it again." She offered, reaching out to put her hands on Xavier's shoulders to be thrown. OH JACK THIS COULDN'T END WELL

"It's a type of dancing." Calder corrected, glad that, as long as the competition was going, she was not running away from him just yet.
At the command, he tossed his head back. "Very few people are heavy for me. I've carried more on my shoulders than you, and you are just skin and.." He kissed her fleshless hand. "..bones."

"Mm, yes. But not the type of dancing I give young stallions who are not ready for a mare such as myself," Na'ima clarified politely for the boil, glad to be standing upright again. Subtly she looked around for Jing and Mmur again, she even searched for Salbei in the crowd.
Hell, she would even take Hel right now.
Calder's words brought her back to him and he was answered with a smug little smirk. She was proud to be of Famine, she was perfectly built in every way! "Do not underestimate me, Calder. I have worked very hard to get to where I am today." She left it at that for now.
When tossed into the air she apparently underestimated Calder. She flew high up with a slight gasp, her dress and veils fluttering in the air as she fell back down into Calder's arms. She clung to him so tightly that she thought her arm would break, but a quick check told her there was not even a scratch on her bones. Good.
She fixed her dress and headdress, clearing her throat. "Impressive."

"Maybe the alumni donate? I'm not too sure myself, really. They covered Xiu and I's food costs, too..." She hummed, genuinely interested in where the seeds came from. Maybe there was some super secret seed fabrication facility underneath the school?! ..No, just that damned lake. Screw that lake.
"Yeah, prom has always been nice." She nodded, content to leave it at that. "How's your training coming along, by the way?"

"Really well." Mot answered, gently swaying Gene to the music, "Same pace as usual. I've been attempting to substitute my usual jerky snacks for some meals you suggested. Though to be honest, the portioning suggested is just too much for me." He admitted sheepishly with a chuckle. "I apologize. Most boils can eat you out of house and home, yet one bag of jerky can last me two weeks."
