Mr. Jello... I haven't the time now, but later I plan to go indetail into what you said OOC in the arena, but right now I'd like to say just two things.

Now that you mention it, he is like the Gaara of water, but I created Rivven with this back story about two weeks before I read the sixth manga, and another one or two before I read any more(I think Gaara's history is in the tenth or so...). It really annoys me how this actually happens to me alot, where I come up with what seems a novel idea, only to see it already displayed somewhere else shortly after. This also happened to me when I started writing a book involving large machines that involved connection of the brain of the pilot to it rather than simply using controls, as well as the assault of celestial beings, and two months later picked up a Neon Genisis Evangelion manga for the first time. Beside this, I was not using Naruto as a base for my character, only a base for his chakra use, as I had never seen it any where but in Naruto.

Secondly, despite the fact there are a few things I'd like to respond to and clear up, I want to thank you for taking your time to read, post, and offer me your view on things.

I welcome your commentary, whenever you get around to it. Explaining yoruself is always a good thing, especially if you feel that someone has mistaken something.

Alright, on to this again. First of all, to how Rivven trained for three days without pause. That was not to say that it increased his strength, as you said, that notion that he bacame considerably stronger in a short period is absurd. It was put there to give an idea of how long he is already capable of holding out his chakra use, for means of telling my opponent that my character was still as capable of fighting at this point as his own could be assumed to be, though perhaps a bit more tired out. This is also the sort of training Rivven might do twice or thrice a week.

Then, to the idea of the omnipotent characters in everyone's use. It is an annoying thing, and I do believe you've got it just about right. I admit to personally having made a character a bit too powerful, that is correct. I should revise that, but I made him this strongly because when joining the guild, everyone else was seemingly more powerful. The trick with my characters is that I like to build them with power to match the ones other individuals use, so that I cannot simply be abused by any god-mode-er who decides he doesn't like me, since I have learned that you can never trust a mod or even another normal gaia player, not meaning one in specific but anyone at all out of all gaia to come forward, to help you out or put good word in when you're being abused or suffering dealing with a god moder. Even in a thread I created myself, there was a guy who killed things not by saying how but simply he had his sword and did. The type of things our entire large group ran away from. Then he started altering the story to fit his liking and interrupting me rudely IC and OOC as well. No one, at all came to help me. This has happened repeatedly in many rps, including ones with intelligent friends of mine, or who seemed to be, who left me to deal with it on my own when I was being forcibly pushed out of a thread by someone who dictated that he was in all ways better than the rest of us together. Now that I've established why I don't trust people, back on topic... I create my characters to have stamina to match another human players, usually at a cost though. If Rivven uses all of his, he has a chance of going on a rampage ending with the spirit killing him in hopes of getting free, and then there's a different character of mine who is blind to balance it, and must expend energy simply to get an idea of the world around him beyond what he can hear, meaning he uses it all up quickly. Then I usually put there offense lower than the player norm. by a bit, often by picking a skillful character more adept at keeping himself alive than at killing straight forward, and a weak element if in a magic rp, meaning water or air which are considered weak despite being the best or the four because they lack straight forward ability to smash or burn, and using them to match these people who would force me down or aside by outsmarting them and win by finesse and planning rather than saying I kill something. I never honestly expected to fight other human characters, only to stop someone stopping me from rp-ing and enjoying myself; the last common trait is that my characters tend to reserve whatever power they have until direly needed.

That was perhaps a bit much, and I still believe I may be at fault here, but what I'm trying to get across is that I don't want to be able to be stronger than anyone else, just to have unique character I can enjoy roleplaying without worrying of being forced out of a favorite rp. Also that I was not simply, thought I very much hope and believe you didn't mean to come across as such, simply trying to be a legendary character and relive a favorite anime and basicly play one of it's characters in it's style of reality at the expense of everyone else, which is something like what I felt was being implied.

And lastly a note to Charles. Don't have Chauffeur leave the arena in your next post please. I don't have time to say more to why now, but I'll be back later. Thank you.

Then you're missing out on nice discussion.

Insane fishie
3nodding You didn't really have to go so deep as to explain your character and all of that, it's not really important in every specific instance how things go down, simply that you know the general, broad-base feel of how things should be.

Yes, characters should be on equal terms with those around them, normally, unless either everyone agrees to let you be special, or you decide that you want to be substandard... This usually means that you have to pay attention to what those around you are doing when deciding what to do when making a character (since I'm not exactly the biggest fan of randomply powering up/down characters just to make them fit in... though I do like to go on a standardized rule in regards to what the average is, and pretend that some people are pretty close to that).

If that made any sense, raise your hand.

Anyways... training for three days nonstop? That would illuminate us a bit to how much stamina he has... Training this way twice a week? That would mean that in an average week, he sleeps once. That causes mental instability, insanity, and with prolonged sleep deprivation, even death.

Don't appologize for playing your character how he is, I was just saying that even if your character thinks he's special, you, OOC, shouldn't put him on some pedastal above the level of the 'common filth', unless there is a good reason for it, which normally requires you to have RPed around your current group of people enough for them to accept that fact.

Seriously guys, i type long posts (not as long as Rivven but almost) and i enjoy long posts. It shows you how much you're into Rp and such..so yeah..i don't like it when people say things like "that a super long post, i didn't read it" that sounds like you're making fun of him just because he types alot! Well, yeah, i just wanted to make a point.
