Another pat at the fawn, trying to be soothing to her as best as she knew how. "It's okay little one. She'll be fine. But you don't want to be in the middle of that. Don't want you getting hurt now do we?"
He gave a growl as the little...feathery thing...jumped him, going for sensitive areas. Cleaver little thing. And it did lower his weapon some from Zahara and force him a step back. Little thing hurt and momentarily proke his concentration to his targeting circles.
Ears perked and her gave a hiss. In two quick bounds he was over there and climbed up his own friend, tackling the faerie off of him and taking them both to the ground. Ferrets were vicious things when they wanted to be. Nym had intended to let them settle it out and take sidelines...but from one familiar to another, he wasn't going to let his own 'master' get assulted by another's own. I'll chew your wings off for that! Vicious little sounds from him as he pushed Raziel around on the ground. Only to jump back at the blade the plunked into the grount between him and Raziel.
He wasn't stupid now and he had gotten away from Raziel for a moment, retreating back to Sevilin's side of Zahara. Though he still hissed and arched, making a growling sound that sounded like it came from something much bigger. A look up to Kieran, who was the once who dropped his sword blade first between them.
Kieran wasn't going to let Nym tear Raziel apart. He was willing to drop his means of offense and defense. And he knew that Nym had only done that because Raziel had gone on the defensive. "Raziel...just back down my friend..." He wasn't going to risk Raziel over something that was between himself and Sevilin. But he brought his eyes back to Sevilin. "Call him off." All the while keeping his eyes on Sevilin and Zahara, crouching down and putting out a hand to Raziel.
He glared, indeed sporting a set of scratches across one eye that were indeed bleeding slightly. Damnable creature. He watched both before him with a concentration. He wouldn't say it...buthe would risk Nym about as much as Kieran would risk his thing. "Nym." And the ferret retreated to up to his shoulder, looking at the little wounds that Raziel had created with a chitter. But his attention turned back to Zahara with a glare. "I told you once, this is none of your business."

But Zahara held her ground. She knew the runic circle was beneath her, knew in a matter of moments Sevilin could toss her off to the side but she really wasn't in the mood to play. He was just damn lucky she wasn't strong enough yet to produce her own runic circle or it would have been a battle between them. Of course he probably would have one being that he was a Master but that wouldn't have mattered much either. She was momentarily taken aback when the other two joined in, ready to pluck the little faerie off Sevilin, but it was taken care of a second later. Ignoring Nym and Raziel and their scuffle, she said "I said back off. There is no reason for this at all!" She stood there, daggers braced to volley against the polearm, violet meeting red and sparking. "Kieran didn't cause what happened, what you're upset about Sevilin, it will do no good to take it out on him." She heard 'daughter' and immediately tensed, that would be Piper he was talking about. What could he be meaning with Piper? "Piper didn't cause it either. You want to point fingers and cast blame, do so on me."

Well, Raziel couldn't refuse a direct order, although he held no grudge against Nym. He supposed all was fair in the war of familiers. He retreied to Kierna's shoulder (the one that was no connected to the wounded elbow) and there we awaited further command.
The fawn shook her head. No, she supposed not. It did look rather nasty. She sighed and hid herself bheind the girl. What was her anme? She couldn't remember. She supposed she'd remember sooner or later.
She didn't mind that one subject was let go.
"I suppose, of not for mine, then for someone elses."

"As long as you have a purpose, a role, a place, with or for someone else, you can bare the burden of living." The elf smiled softly, they were drawing closer to the gates. "It is ok to be alive, so long as you are needed." The elf paused in his thinking, "Is that truly living, or a mask for self doubt?"

"Does it matter if you are truly living? Or just think you are truly living?" Her own question. "After all, it wouldn't matter if you really were at all, as long as you believe that you are. Living truly is probably perceptual."
She looked at the gates. "Um...I'm pretty sure they remeber me..."

"That actually depends upon how well fed you are, and how difficult it is to feed yourself. THe more relaxed your life is, the more philisophical question matter. People with time on their hands, have to do something." The elf shrugged, he placed a hand over his right shoulder, where the top of his spear was haning about a half a foot above his shoulder. The claymore was underneath it, the hilt matching the tip of the spear.
"Most knowledge is pointless, most philosophy is as well. But, when it comes down to it, it offers us an analysis of our lives, it allows us to make difficult decisions and decide what is important. It can help us understand the universe, and our place within it."
"It can help us to feel happy."
"It can help us to feel loved."

Raziel back where he belonged and most assuredy right now out of Sevilin's fingers was quite the relief. He stood and his still good arm reached to his sword, pulling it out of the ground and gripping tightly. It was times like this that he was glad he was ambidexterious.
Red eyes stared at Zahara, hot as the blood they mimicked in color. "Take it out on you? Were you in on the plan then?" Yeah paranoid. "You have no place to speak on the issue...this was long brewed before you or I ever crossed wretched paths." He gave a cruel chuckle. "You...you think it's about you. Of course you would think that in your little world there's nothing more important than yourself." A sneer from him. "The moment she takes runic use on me, she made herself the cause. And you think I'll stand idly by and let myself be manipulted as such...perhaps long ago...but not now and not ever again."
She was trying his patience and that was evidenced by the feeling of heat on her forehead from the rune he had placed there upon thier first meeting when her attitude had gotten the better of her, as he activated it in threat. "He's my catch and my kill...if you want to protect your precious pet so much...better make sure she can run faster than me and my runes. Surely you understand the huntings of the drow..." For a moment he raised a hand, wiping blood that was threatening to drip into his eye and obscure his vision.
He listened to them throw things at each other, though his posture was tense, ready to react should Sevilin decide he was tired of playing the waiting game, taking back to physical assult or runic. A look at the blood that was soaking his sleeve before he turned his attention back to them. Seemed something he wasn't aware of happened by the sound of it. "I do give you your credit for capturing me Inthara. But you are mistaken if you think I will let you through me to my family."
She merely pat at her again, crouchign down to the fawn's level and going though soothing motions that seh often used with the horses themselves. Speaking of them, they were rather crowded around Keely and the Bode doe as well, seeing as they had never seen this before either, it was a little worrisome.

She thought for a second he was going to hit her and braced herself for the blow, but he was merely wiping blood. "Oh for the love of Lloth!" She glared at him, then wrinkled her brow for a moment. What was he talking about? "What are you blabbering on about?" she asked angrily. Runes used on him? Piper could use runes..she'd wiped his off the wall but... "Are you saying this was planned?!" she asked beginning to see what he was accusing Kieran and Piper of. "But they didn't do it. It was my own damned instincts that finally pushed me to do what I did." But then...he'd responded. Which had taken her by surprise. Her daggers lowered briefly and she shook her head, "Explain yourself!" He knew something, she knew he did and he was upset, obviously for a reason, but what was it? That rune heated up and she stiffened, her eyes challenging him to use it.

"Do I really need philosophy to tell me that I am loved?" No, she would rather that people tod her that. It would feel better. But she sighed. If had people telling ehr she was loved...they would probably be men telling her that to gain certain advatages over her.
She sighed. Together, they bipassed the fighting sounds they heard on one side of the Fortress. Best not to get mixed up in that. And as Aella thought, the ogers at the doors let her pass. She led Cedric into the main foyer. "Hello?" She didn't really like intruding wotuhout someone knowing she was there. Plus she didn't know the way to Meilikki's room.
Raziel just growled. "Come one Kieran." He whispered. "Let me fight. We can finish this right now."
She felt better when all of her new horse friends were around her. And she settled down as the tall human one talked to her. Though her eyes were starting to get a little teary.

"That in and of its self, is a philosophy." Cedric replied, as he followed her passed the forboding gates, and into the lion's den. "I wonder where that Drow women went." Cedric looked about causually, he felt somewhat out of place within these walls. He could feel a spectre sitting in the room, as though som egreat evil was with five feet. He shrugged it off. He was well aware of the rumors about this place, and what lay beneth it. Perhaps, his imagination was grabing at his senses, or maybe he really just didn't like this place. But, alas, if he wanted answers, this is where he had to come. He ddin't lie with his face, so he gave a disheartened look, somewhere between not caring and being disapointed.
"Do you like it here?"

She shrugged as they waited for soemone to show up. "I don't really care for the indoors too much. At least not a really big place like this." Too many males.

"So then...you weren't aware...how very amusing." That voice was mocking, calm yet spoke of the rage in volumes that lay underneath it. "Didn't I tell you...surface trash, deceitful creatures one and all. You preach to protect that which has caused you anguish. Try to give them your trust and they toss it back at you." Clenching his hand he gave a pull back on his arm and by reaction, the rune that now glowed on her forhead would tug on her. His subtle warning to her.
"You honestly think I would willingly let you touch me? Honestly that I would willingly touch you? It started with Malik...him and his spiked drinks, laced with drugs...and then she got in on it...took me a day to figure it out, oh but I did. Did you notice that arm of hers bandaged...where I grabbed her...why would you bandage bruises for that long?" Oh he knew what she did...he had learned the trick himself and was wise to them all as well. Being a Master meant knowing the various techniques. He seemed more focused on Zahara than Kieran right now...as if he was trying to get her to turn against the two surface elves who he blamed for this.
Sevilin was more cautious as ever, seeing where this was going. He was trying to get her to give into the feelign of betrayal he was instilling in her. Though Kieran was daft to the entire situation himself, he was catching the vitals. "No Raziel...we hold the disadvantage...to step into death's hands blindly is foolish." Though he was working out a back up plan, should they both turn on him. "Crawl down to my pockets..fetch my sunspot holder." Nothing like flashblinding drow with sunlight when you needed to. He wasn't taking a chance. Though he stood his ground, refusing to run for the moment.
Needless to say that the two had caught the attention of the staff, who recognized Aella, from Onyx's bringing her around but not her friend. And amongst themselves they had decided that one of them was shoved off to go see what she needed. Hey they didn't like Onyx all that well...he got violent. So then, a young man approached then, trying to keep an air of confidence. "Welcome back Miss Aella...and your own friend as well. Here to see Onyx?" That was thier only guess.

"Its not that..." The efl paused, "Well, its reputation preceeded it." Cedric turne his attention towards Aella, "Are you intimately familiar with those who live here?" Intimately may have been the wrong choice of words with Aella, but Cedric does not know that.

Her gaurd went up to the both of them. "No!" Deep breath. "I mean.....no. I am here to see Meilliki. Not Onyx." And a look to Cedric. "I know the important ones."
Raziel did as he was asked carefully mdae his way down to the right pocket hauling ou the sunspot holder and hiding it behind a wing before bringing it back to Kieran's shoulder. "Ready when you are."

"Ah Sevilin. How nice to see you again."
Malik was up, and watching. not interfereing yet.
"And how common you are. I thought you were better than that. Really. Kieran lies to you, to decieve you into coming here. Piper plans and prepares a scheme that has absolutly no benifit to her whatsoever. and the first people you come to blows with have absolutely no idea what's going on."
A slight chuckle.
"in all your studies, you never learned. You suspected, but you never thought to be obvious or question things."
Malik was still all bandaged up, wearing nothign more than a pair of pants, hand behind his back.
"Piper's doing? why would Piper make that arrangement? Piper hates you. she wouldn't give you even that moment. My doing. My planning, my scheming. and Piper's good intentions turned to my benifit."
Malik laid his eyes on Sevilin.
"And you know what the best part of it is? the coup de grace? You wanted it. You desired it...both of you did. Deny it all you want, curse it all you want. but you can't hide it from me. you don't have that kind of power. Even Kimmuriel and is drow crew have to have specially designed equipment for that."
A chuckle.
"So what now? ah...let me guess. cripple and injure the parties involved in the one time you actually felt feelings for a woman. try to purge it in the blood of others. But I know, and you know. and you'll know to the end of your days. it'll haunt your reveries. that you actually wanted Zahara. you craved her. and you still want her. Just as she wants you. all I did was arrange the little nudge to solidify and prove once and for all that was true, Sevilin. I laid the bait in the trap, and you ran after it like a starving mouse."
Onyx of course answered the door. he knew the smell, and who it was, but not the scent with her, and he gave that elf a critical looking over with a snort and slight extenstion of claws. but a friendly hug to Whirlwind.
"Good to see you. I take it he is you escort? and you are here to see the Oracle. I'll take you to her room. she's been resting after her ordeal, we've been having clothing made and making sure she is bathed and feed and well taken care of."
