That's because it's ******** huge.
The arm, that is. Disproportionate size on the bicep and if you look at where you're drawing the elbow it's about 2-3 inches too low. It's coming down below the navel, where it should be just above.

Yeah, I started fixing that, but I keep getting sidetracked by the shoulder. It looks way wrong to me and it's starting to aggravate me. His face also looks really flat.

Yeah, the shoulder's bulging out a little too much when it's curving down. That could be what's throwing you off.
And I don't think the face looks flat... though it does seem like his cheek is abnormally wide.
