Of course where she healed, the only trace of injury ever being there was a thin red line left behind on pale skin. Okay this was horribly interesting, getting healed by a drow cleric. Do hold in the boyish glee tendencies. Not that his mind was too up to the challenge of being scholarly ecstatic. Too worn. Though it was interesting that her questions almost came out as commands. But he just pushed away from the table and stood, pulling off his shirt to expose the rest of the gash marks on his upper body. But his attention was turned to Malik.

"No, I'll be fine. My own marking will go away in a few day's time. There are some things that it's best that she just doesn't know how bad they were. Me taking anything ranks right up there with loosing an appendage with that woman." A little chuckle at the so well known behavior or his dear Fianna. "Though that is something to know, that we surface elves can indeed be trained into tolerance of things that usually poison to us." Most Underdark grown or born things were.

Then for a moment he looked off into no particular direction as if he was thinking too hard or holding a conversation, before he let his attention back to the two in his company. A look back to Malik. "She's going to hover around you, you know that don't you?"

The sight of a bare chest should have done something to Zahara. And she did feel a stirring that let her know her reprieve from instincts was over. She knew it would happen, after all the little stint she'd had with Sevilin had only appeased her for that day and the next, though she'd felt the familiar rise of feelings on the way back on the dragon. Lloth be damned for the stupid need to procreate. If they didn't kill so much, they wouldn't need so many damn kids! But she turned her attention to Kieran and easily healed the gashes on his shoulder and abdomen. "Anywhere else?" Trying not to think about the sight of another chest, this one covered with ebony skin.

"She has reason to hover. and yes, you can be trained. it is the same with many assassins. they give themselves small doses of poisons, build up an immunity, then take the dosage the next step up. many assassin guildmasters are virtually immune to most made poisons."

Though he watched Zahara with a slight curl of his lip. things working well. that did make him wonder where Sevilin has been. he better not have turned on them.

"But you must remember Piper spent twenty years strictly down here. so there was nothign else available..we had to make her able to tolerate some things."

Tunic easily slipped back into, taking a moment to pull his pulled back hour out of his collar, blue and silver slightly mixed up from the way he had it. Seemed that royal air about him had taken a vacation from his person completely. Then he kicked off his boot, propping his leg up in the chair he had been in and pulling his pant leg up for her to get at the set on his calf. Yes, bewteen rabid imp and cat he had gotten quite the bit of damage.

"Smart way to do it, and especially because she is down here." It was no rare occurance to be poisoned by something of that sorts, but it was probably rare to hear of a surface elf building up to thier tolerances. "And if someting new crops up, you just take the same approach? Do tell, how do you know when she's not going to take to it at all?

There you all are, where have you been for the past, what, two days? Just up and disappear, the lot of you. He was sitting on the corner of the table. He'd been in the house for two days, waiting to see when they came back. Needless to say he wasn't too happy a creature. Then again neither was Sevilin. And Sevilin? Back home, brooding among other things.

He sat up on his hind legs, sniffing at the air slightly before dropping back to all fours, red eyes scanning the group at the table. Well there were the two of them. And what was this? Kieran? But where was the fourth? The collar wearing surface elf. A chitter from him before he slunk down the table leg, scurrying out of the room to see where the other one had gotten off too.

The bathroom door cracked open and was held at that distance a moment before she pushed it the rest of the way open, leaning on the frame a moment as she took a breath. What was with this feeling? Like an overly done paranoia. Head tilted down slightly and shoulers somewhat drow up she slipped out of the bathroom, collar in hand, and started down the hall. A look over to Keely as the little girl came up to her, offering her a hand. For comforts sake Piper took the offered hand, letting the child walk with her to her room where Piper merely sat down on the bed, touching her hand to her throat again... was it the restriction she was missing? "Could you get me something to eat Keely?"

A little nod from Keely before she skipped herself downstairs,to the dinning room where the talking of the others was heard. A stop in front of Malik...this girl had indeed to not fear Malik, but she didn't lack respect for him. "She's in your room and I'm getting her something to eat." No need for names, he knew what she was talking about because he was the one who gave the orders to tell him. And off to the kitchen with her to do what was asked of her.

"I did my homework, and paid a large amount of money to herbalists and the Assassin's guild. there are certain chemical reactions your boyd has to things down here. anything falling into certain catagories is very fatal even in small doses. and I compared the assassin's poisons with teh herbologist's knowledge to learn the types of things that Piper will not tolerate. this includes nearly all waterbased fungi or our version of 'seaweed', and mostly every mushroom in the toadstool and puffball variety. and certian fungus that are in general mildly poisonus to us, deadly to you. and by that I mean we get an upset stomach, your stomach explodes."

All very casual, with a nod to Keely.

"and you can have anything you want as well, Keely."

Then back to teh task at hand.

"But most moss, softcap mushrooms, reeds, barks, and things like cave slimes she can tolerate. she's even learned to enjoy some particular foods. like batwing crunchies."

More skin, well dammit just how much was she supposed to take? She clenched her hands for a moment, and shook her head then knelt down to run her fingers lightly over the gashes healing them, her voice strained. "Anywhere else?" Snippy? Yes, she was. A glance at the ferret and she stiffened immediately. Did that mean Sevilin was nearby or had the furball come alone? He'd done it before. She remembered the sound of the front door slamming and how it had made her feel and she sighed. That damn drow, now she was focusing on him in a way she never had before, remembering subtle movements, seeing his red eyes spark and heat both with anger and...something else. She ran her hands through her hair agitatedly and raised an eyebrow at Kieran to see if she was done.

A little shake of his head to Zahara, and he composed himself before sitting back down in his chair, leaning back in it some. Then one of those appreciative nods to the woman. "Thank you Zahara, I appreciate it." Even if her attitude was bad, he would forgive her for it...whatever it was that got her anger up.

"Pip's right Malik, somtimes you do seem to have too much free time on your hands. If you've done that much study on it." Then again Malik had that fierce protective streak of Piper, and Kieran personally didn't expect anything less of him."Good to know you're on top of that." Though a little raised eyebrow at his mentioning of Piper actually acquiring tastes for things. "The girl does eat tree bark, I guess I should expect that." Assuming Piper even knew what she was eating.

Kieran gave a sigh. "Long day indeed...my reverie schedule is severly off." He gave a stretch, cracking his neck actually. "Perhaps it's best if we all called it an early...night. Or I think it is anyway..." Ah he never could tell time could he. A nod to Malik, and one to Zahara. Then a look back to Malik. "Tell her my love, would you?" Getting near her would be hard enough, no need to stress the poor thing. Standing and scooping up Raziel he headed off to give his mind some rest.

Piper was at this point lying on thier bed, staring at the ceiling, collar in one hand, the other still at her neck. Thus was...it was almost paralysing. Perhaps what Onyx had said was right...so long wearing it...it was part of the Piper that Malik helped bring about. The one that or a brief moment had put aside her fear of her own kind to strike up a friendship with him. Then she stiffened lightly as she felt little laws on her leg, something sitting there. Sitting up, triple colored eyes came to meet red. "Sevilin's ferret..." Crap.

The little ferret arhced his back and hissed at her. It's your fault. We know it was you...you're the one who made him give in. Thinking you're so slick with your little rune tricks, getting rid of the ones he had here and then putting one on him. Though he chittered angrily at her and then dropped off the bed, scurrying back out the room and down the stairs.

Keely was a happy child. After all, she was and had been earning her way to Malik's good side. And not just strictly because she did a lot for Piper either. Malik wasn't so bad once you got around the scary stressed out part of him. See, he was even giving her a reward. Soon enough though she was heading back upstairs with something for Piper, though her attention was caught by the ferret what was running downstairs as she was going up them.

Oh good she was done healing, that made her happy. She watched Kieran go with a nod then glanced at Malik. "I agree with him, early reverie for me as well. Take care of her Malik, she means a lot to you but she means just as much to me." That was all she was going to say on the subject before she stalked off. Catching a glimpse of the furball, skittering down the steps she scooped him up. "Where do you think you're going? Why don't you come with me, I could use the company." She carried him into her room, petting him lightly talking to him. "I missed you, sweet little furball." She nuzzled him lightly to calm his little pissed self down and petted at him. "I wondered if Sevilin was around too...but I guess it's just you..." She plopped on her bed allowing the ferret to burrow if he wished or run off if he wished. "But I really would prefer the company, it gets lonely.."

Malik was oh so amused at Zahara's reactions, you coudl almost see the devilish glee behind his eyes. But he gave a nod to Kieran, and one to Zahara, getting himself up and noting her scooping up the ferret whil ehe headed toward teh bedroom that he and Piper claimed. and a slight smirk at the ferret. that poker player slight look that was the tell that they were holding all the right cards, before he went into the room they shared, and sat on the bed by her.

"Your father sends his love to you. and I gave Zahara a list of things that can be used to help your injuries heal faster."

He struggled or a ew moments at being scooped up. Caught..not to mention caught by the second person that Sevilin wasn't too happy with. Though he was more unhappy with himself about what happened with Zahara than actually being angry at the drow female herself, and Nym shared the sentiments, it was the surface elf who caused it to happen, it was her restitution to pay.

Thus he settled easily enough. Eh he didn't feel like skittering across the Underdark at this hour. Yeah he'd stay, get someone warm to sleep against, maybe get a sock out of the deal. A chitter to her, curling up around her head on the pillow.

She was idly nibbling on a piece of toast...she wasn't eating because she was hungry but because she knew she needed to. Though a comforting smile as Malik came in, passing along Kieran's words to which she nodded to. "Mm, Underdark things...well, I was always a firm believer than health was never tasteful." Her posture was still guarded really, not that she noticed. "Look at you...you've got to stop getting mangled A'mael." A little sigh from her as she rested back against pillows slightly, knees pulled up some, collar still sitting next to her with one hand resting on it while also trying to put the ferret and who he was connected to out of her mind.

Catawa did not spend much time in the room that she was given. She might have been a cat who needed alot of sleep. but she was also an elf who needed next to none. (she did not revery) She sniffed her way down to the kitchen, or at elast she supposed that's what it was. She wasn't much of an indoors person. Kieran was who she needed to see. She pretty much ignored the others, tapping the eld on the shoulder with a claw.

Toharu clung to Zahara a little tighter, once in a while venturing out of the pocket to rest on the drow's shoulder. If anything spooked her though, who could be as simple as a slightly raised voice, she would scamper back down into the protection of the pocket.

Raziel ate his grapes, listening and watching as he awlays did, enjoying the pets.

The Bode fawn watched as Zahara left, looking back at her stall full of soft hay. How very odd this place was. Things felt good. It was a little lonely here though....she didn't have all of her friends who looked like her in cages next to hers, making calming cooing noises and talking to each other, waiting for that day they could see the sun. They had been told that outside tehre was a big ball that gowed in the sky, made everything pretty and warm. Bode Fawn assumed that she had not yet been outside then.
PostPosted: Mon May 15, 2006 9:44 am

Raziel and grapes in one hand, Catawa had managed to catch him as he was leaving the room and the other's company. Which he supposed was just as well, seeing that she held that expression of something being on her mind. Eh he could stave off reverie for a bit longer to let her have his attention. He was indebt to her after all.

Though he did walk as he talked, slow and in stride to Catawa. "Yes Catawa? Do tell what's on your mind. I can aford you my attention before I go to rest myself for the night." Piper mixed Cheetah look...yeah he was getting pretty used to it.

The foals however, did find the Bode fawn quite interesting. Their stall was adjoining to hers after all, and little snouts poked through cross boards, sniffing and making little nickers. Well look at this mom and dad. She's...I don't know but isn't she cute?

Catawa followed, paws clasped behind her back and that tail of hers winging back forth. "I understand your need for rest, Kieran, and I will allow you some time before I bring this up again, if you so wish. I am concerned for my...counterparts." She was not comfortable calling them freinds.

"We have completed your part of the deal. When the mutations are dead, our transaction will be finished." Catawa had always been this forward and buisness like. She wasn't much of a 'feelings' type of person.

"I know you have not forgotten. I merely wish to plan."

Fawn looked at her new stall mates. Well, these were kind of different. but she could hear hooves clacking on the floor, and that brought her comfort. She stuck her slighty snouty face through the cross boards, just as her new freinds were doing. They talked like her too! Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Are you people too? Who were your samples?
PostPosted: Mon May 15, 2006 10:18 am

He stopped and turned to her, stealing on of Raziel's grapes a moment. "And I am in understanding of your concern, Catawa. After all, they are your...companions I suppose." More or less they were all feline and all a bit of Piper...disturbing as that may be. "And I also thank for indeed pulling through on your end, and I gave you my elvish word that I would do the same for you."

Kieran gave her a nod, laying a hand to her shoulder. Hey he was overly comforting to those who needed it. Catawa didn't seem a horribly personable creature, but he supposed being a multi gened thing and being kept in a cage would do that to you. "Though I'm sure you know how hard it is to get to that place, let alone infiltrate it and get past Dimitri...planning will be the most important aspect of this entire scenario. So then my dear, ideas?" He brushed back a blue piece of short hair that had falled from being pulled back.

People? We're horses. Don't forget feathers! Wind, fire and shadow too! Hush you three, I'm talking to her. The little tempest butted her stall mates some. As far as she was concerned she was still in charge...though that slipped easily, especially in play. What's a sample? A flick of ears and a nicker, looking to the stall on the other side of thiers where mother was, then back to the fawn.

Good, she was glad she had an understanding.

"Leave soon. My creator is not one to think you would come back so quickly. He will not fix permeter breaches for some time. I believe we can get in, kill, and get out before he knows too much. Or cares."

A bit fo a stretch in that regads, but at least it was a start.

Horses! I had a sister that was half horse. And sample is..um...it's part of the person that you're made from! I'm made from a little girl named Bode. She flicked her ears in much the same fashion as the horses in front of her, copying some of their moves.
