He wasn't sure about JUST a dance, but he went with it. "I left my clan. They had some rules I wasn't for, and it was either abide by them or be trampled." He spun her about. "It's not important now. What's done is done. I'm looking ahead." Another turn and he held her hands as he turned her and looked into her eyes. "The view so far is lovely."

Na'ima's eyes widened and again she found herself wishing she had her face veil to hide the look of shock on her face. He just..left his clan. She placed a hand against her chest. Be still her heart, a rogue stallion. "That is very unfortunate to hear."
She did like that attitude, however. Yes, what was done was done and there was no use looking back. No apology could take back an action, one could say they were sorry but it didn't take away that memory of what had happened, a memory that would forever haunt someone no matter how hard they tried to repress it.
Her look of irritation was replaced with a slow smile as she leaned in close to whisper lowly in Calder's ear. "It's not going to work~" she sang quietly before leaning away again, a grin on her face. She knew what he was trying to do. It wasn't going to happen.

 "So it is just Mac? No last name, no family name, no other special name that you are neglecting to tell me for a wide litany of reasons that I am henceforth electing to ignore?" The witch chirped in response, vastly pleased to prattle on with the Reaper while they waited for Hel. "Oh? You are in her room quite often? All the more intriguing that we have not run into each other! I have visited her a handful of times, though I suppose it is because she comes to my room most often... But tell me! What are your interests? Likes? Dislikes? I'd like to here everything!" Look. It was ghoul code that the witch had to scope out her friend's love interest, alright? That was just the way things were. Hopefully he understood! Unfortunately for the witch, there wasn't much time in which to do much more sleuthing for Hel returned. And while it was a shame to not get more conversation with Mac, Belladonna was pleased to let out a loud note of appreciation. "Hel! You look amazing! Good Hecate, that corset is darling and that skirt! Ah! Are you sure you have to dance with him? I would appreciate your outfit much more!" But it seemed not to be as Mac swept the ghoul off and the witch was left to stand there, laughing to herself and watching them waltz. Maybe if she were very lucky she too could be swept off her feet, but for the moment it was alright just to watch everyone look so happy and carefree.

DANCE COMPETITION
ROUND TWO"Looking' good, lookin' good, Guys and Dolls! You got me dizzy with them spins!" Enzo seemed to be having a hoot, milling about the dancing crowd before waving to Ren for another song change up and resuming his position at the stage. "But now let's see what else you got! Let's see some AIR, fellas! Throw that lady up in the air! Show us all how you really swing!" OOC ROUND TWO: Jump and Jive and Wail! Roll 1d20 Now partners must roll HIGHER than their lead! Please post your Lead and Partner or Solo, and how many tries you have taken to do the move! It's not too late to join, feel free to jump in! Dancing alone? Assume Alex or Enzo takes you for a jump by rolling against the dice rolled in this post! Round Two ends 9pm PST!

 "Let's go say hi to Jove!" Ren yelled, clearly misunderstanding the term indoor voice. He grabbed LW around the waist, grinning cheekily as he pressed a quick kiss to her lips, dragging her towards the boil.
"JOVE!" Ren flung an arm around his little brother's shoulders and ruffled his hair obnoxiously affectionately, beaming. "I thought I'd come say hello and meet your new fri - crap I forgot about the dj stand."
And then he was off flying again, back to the stand to flip the record over and put on a new one. He patted Freya's head as he flew back to LW, gave a wave to Shaheen, tripped into Ahm, in turn colliding with Keiran, twirled past Amrita, smooched Bella amicably on the cheek, poked the back of Jack's head, tapped Calder on the shoulder, blew Xiu a kiss, patted Etzer and Uller on the back, and gave Enzo a giant thumbs up.
He also may or may not have also accidentally smacked Molan in the head with a wing as he passed. O u O

Freya paled visibly at the request. She looked at Kettil, and then at her spindly arms, and whimpered.
"Hooter.." She whined, reaching around to hug him. "I don't thinks I can throws yeh." She leaned in, whispering in his ear. "Maybe if yeh just.. jump.. okays on three. One.. two.."
She put her hands on his waist, and tried her hardest not to break her own arms picking him up.
BUT SHE GOT A HEAD PAT FROM REN AND IT GAVE HER THE STRENGTH OF TEN MEN?!?!?

Calder turned his head to breath in her hair when she leaned away and smiled. Rising, he took a few dance steps, a turn, a step, and then spun her into a dip. "Then there isn't any harm in trying." He whispered into her ear, lips brushing against her lobe just to be heard without the music overtaking his voice, and went to n** her ear.

Why was Efflo so.. so.. infectiously happy? It was hard for Gabby to stay grumpy, with a smile like that beaming up at him. But he tried; really, really hard.
"Yes. You. Specifically." Gabby growled, pursing his lips to keep down the smirk. The boil smelled of peppermint, and Gabby had never liked the smell before in his life.
But it smelled delicious now.
"Up you go." Gabby wrapped his arms around Efflo, and lifted him up, holding him against himself and twirling very slowly. It was all very Dirty Dancing of him.

Kettil gave Freya a confident grin, "You can do it!" Now that he was aware of what was going on, for the most part, he was getting into the competition.
Then she tried to toss him up and he tried to jump as well at the same time and apparently...
Kettil went higher than both expected. So much higher.

She beamed at the comment, head bobbing happily at that point. "They're awesome right? People say it's funny when we're together!" She added cheerily while listening as the witch spoke of her own family after their brief moment to catch breaths.
"Ooo you have a big one too then!" She called in reply, hopping a few steps to one side before grinning. "That's good, more of them is more fun! Always someone to do something with, right?" Though, Maple might not get a reply to that last bit as Enzo spoke up suddenly.
Air? Like tossing? Oh. Oh she could totally do that. "UP AND AT EM THEN!" And with that The girl worked to swing Maple up as high as she could. Don't worry, she had every intention of catching her.

Efflo laughed, "As if I'd let anyone else." Then Gabby was sweeping him off of his feet, quite literally, and Efflo was laughing again, soft and tinkling. His inexplicable joy might have been entirely out of character at such a social function, but being around Gabby always made him happy, and as the boil held him up close, it was no exception. He held tightly onto Gabby, smiling as he dipped in for a quick pepperminty kiss. They could at least enjoy prom for a little while this lasted. Na'ima allowed herself to be dipped, holding onto Calder so she would not fall. She gave a snort at the young stallion's whisper, cringing a bit when she felt his lips.
He nipped her ear. "That is not dancing, Calder." She scolded mildly, a warning before he lost her entirely. She pat his chest and pushed against him to make her stand her up again. "Throw me, I am not heavy."

"Mot." The ghoul stated simply, looking up at him with pleased silver eyes, warm with a cheeky smile. She went on her tiptoes to peck him on the cheek, brushing some hair away from his face while doing so. "I'm all about the rumor mill and idle chit chat, silly boil. But I think Xiu and I both will have enough of that when the cafe opens."
That was part of the goal, though. They'd be selling coffees and teas and food and such, but Shifting Blossoms was also to be a speak easy, of sorts. They were going to be the rumor mill.
"The student council really did a fantastic job this year, didn't they?"

Oh great. Now she was getting the Glare of Death. And all Saiyuri could do was keep giggling. That had been rather fun! Though she did feel bad for Shaheen. Maybe she'd apologize to the other horsewoman... later. When she wasn't too high on her adrenaline and enthusiasm!
"I've never been dancing before! Do we always go flying?" She breathed, wide eyes expecting an answer from the other horseman. And then they widened more as she realized she'd lost her date!
"Eeeep!" Saiyuri scrambled to try and get to her feet, rearranging her skirt and seeking Thrain out. "I did not mean to knock you over." She added to Shaheen sheepishly. "My date was dancing with me. And we were twirling- Oh Thrain!" She waved and took his hand as he helped her the rest of the way up. Then gasped, looking at the War horseman. "Were you wanting to dance with me too?" Saiyuri asked in a whisper, like this was a Big Secret she had just learned.
And then she was just blinking. "You have a bear?! Can I see it?!" Good job, Thrain. Good job.

She barely managed to nod at her loud and obnoxious boilfriend before he was dragging her towards Jove. Though she did n** at him when he stole a kiss. Unlike Ren, LW gave the puppy a quick hug to him and his friend before facepalming as Ren was squawking and dashing for the DJ stand.
"How did I ever find him again?" She sighed, shaking her head with a grin.
Hopefully he didn't trip this time.
She threw her arms around Ren's kneck, keeping him in one place as the new song started. "YES, you silly turkey! It's time for another dance!"
