"K look, I gotta hit that store that has the Manic Panic (forgot where i got it lol) haircolor. Can you PLEASE try not to let the baka blow up anything? And NO SHRIMP!" Kurai told Tala.
"Awwwww, but shrimping him is fun....nevermind I won't." Tala quickly added as Kurai's eyes narrowed and the bulb above her flickered far more than normal. "C'mon let's get you some normal clothes. I'm gonna scream if i see you in those Spongebob boxers much longer."

Sitting on the couch she took her cell out of the pocket of her jeans and texted Kurai. The text read:
Yo, the news says there's a serial killer on the loose in town. Bets on if it's a mutant or not? Twenty says it isn't. lol.
She sent the text and laid out as the music blasted. It was kind of nice having the place to herself for once.

"but i like those! their perky and yellow, and the make being pant-less fun" he said as the walked to a store, getting a double take from an elderly woman on a motor cart when he mentioned about the fun of pantlessness. "OOOO!" he said running over to a metal barrier where they had a miniature virtual reality ride that bumps you around inside of it. seeing some one look like they might trow up made Damian want to go on it that much more.
Brett had woken up only after hitting his snooze for the thousandth time and it fell an conked him on the head.carefully putting it back and rubbing his head he decided to alarm clock got tired of trying to wake him the conventional way so he better get up. he located clothes that hopefully worked together, if none messes up his hanger system. he approached the kitchen smelling bacon. 'wow it still breakfast guess i didn't sleep in too bad' he thought. he was confused though Sam was usually up making massive amounts of food for people to devour but most of what he smelt had a sight burnt or over cooked smell to it. 'that's odd i don't think Sam burnt any thing breakfast wise before' he located the kitchen door way where he heard a few unfamiliar voices one swearing at the pan of bacon Brett had smelled. "have you guys seen Sam?" he asked knowing her to be quite well know here at least by first name. "i saw her last night but not this morning" one girl said. she sounded a bit farther off so she must have been by the window. "hence why I'm attempting to cook...." the guy at the stove added trying to unstick the scrambled eggs. Brett knew this guys cooking and he didn't like it, he had thrown up once too. "I might stop by 7-11 then get a burrito or something." he said getting worried. he wasn't hungry anymore, but he knew it was the closest place she would go late at night.

Kurai flipped open her phone and read Kit's text. "Ah hell." Texting back she replied, "bet's on. bet X's thinx it's us."
"What's up? Tala asked seeing Kurai texting. Her eyes got big for a second when Kurai told her quietly. "Ok we should just be careful for now right? I'll make sure Damian acts as normal as i can.
"Let's get in, get our stuff and scram, but for god's sake do NOT act all rushed! Text me when you're ready to go or if you got a prob ok?" At Tala's nod, she walked toward's Spencers.
Tala caught up with Damian and whispered in his ear what Kurai had said about the serial killings.

"oh that's not good" Damian said totally forgetting about the ride."yea let do the normal clothes thingy and be done" the ride could wait everyone seemed serious about it so he must need to be serious then too. "were we going for the clothes then?"

"I don't think I've ever been there" Damian said getting drug to the store. as soon as they arrived, and began looking for clothes. Damian found one of the manikin looking at him and felt Th urge to glare right back at it, and for no reason he was getting annoyed at it's obvious lack of response. he kicked it foot missed and hit the stand. the manikin wobble but didn't fall but Damian ended up hurting his toe instead "ow ow ow....'' he said holding his foot

"It's ok ma'am we just came from the optometrist and they had to dialate his eyes. I promise we won't knock anything over." Tala said to the saleslady that came to see if Damian was all right. After she left, Tala dragged him over to a rack of jeans. "Seriously have you never seen a mannequin before? it's not gonna get you alright? Ok, so you look like about a 24 waist. Here try these on. oh, and make sure you close and lock the door." She handed him a pair of stonewashed jeans and shoved him towards the fitting room. While he was in there she grabbed a few tshirts that looked about his size.
Kurai got her haircolor and a couple of chainmail bracelets, then headed towards the food court.

"but it was staring at me!" he protested as he caught the jeans Tala tossed at him. ones in the dressing room he fiddled with the lock till it finally worked and locked properly. he managed to change into the new jeans uneventfully thanks to their being a chair. he slipped out, carrying his other pants, to where Tala was and lifted his shirt just enough so she could see all of the pants and a bit of the sponge bob boxers poking out the top

Kit looked at her phone and read Kurai's text and smirked. She texted back:
Doubt it. These are to unorganized. Either the killer is a bumbling fool or they're just testing out different ways to kill people. I'll go over to the x-mansion and talk to Sam, she's their super info chick. I want you guys back here soon, all of you. I've got a bad feeling about all of this.
Kit hit the send button and went up to her room to get dressed.
Meanwhile on the far west side of town in one of the abandoned apartment buildings the man that had abducted Sam tilted his head and looked at her curiously. He had chained her to a wall in the basement of the building and was sitting patiently waiting for the effects of the chloroform to end. He was getting impatient, his wide sleepless brown eyes narrowed dangerously as he held an already bloodied hatchet in his hands.

Kurai read Kit's message then shot a text to Tala. G2G now. foodcourt.
Tala checked her phone as it gave off a rooster noise. obviously Damin had messed with her phone again. Reading the message she went up to the counter and snagging the tag off the jeans Damian was wearing, she said, "We're running late can he just wear these out? Here's the tag." At the clerk's nod she paid and grabbing the bag she said, "C'mon you're gonna be late." and pulled Damian along.
Meeting Kurai at the foodcourt, she got the info about Kit's text as they headed for the car. As they hurried Kurai texted Gambit, car now. emergency

"late for what?" he said being drug yet again, he couldn't remember any plans or was it bout that killer? the went by the old lady on the cart again who had to move to get out of their way, muttering something about kids these days "where we going? food?" he asked very confused.
Brett went back to his room to get his cell. there was no messages cause his phone beeped a certain way for missed calls or voice messages. using the voice command function he called Sam's phone, hopefully she would answer

He heard a cell phone ringing. The killer got up and went over to the purple haired woman and reached in her pants pocket with his free hand. He took out the phone and dropped it on the floor then smashed it with the hatchet. A groan was heard from the woman and then a scream when she saw him. A wide grin spread across his face before he put the blade of the hatched into the side of her head. "Heh."

the rings stopped rater abruptly and went straight to her voice mail. not one for leaving a message Brett hung up and decided she needed to be found. should he tell anyone else his worries? he wasn't even sure himself that she may be ok or not. it didn't seem like her to just leave with out any notice unless something happened. he found the sot in the wall near the door the hid the key pad to let him walk out the gate with out getting shot at by the defenses. she may have stopped by the 7 11 for a late night snack. it take him a bit to get to the front gate no one was outside this time of morning and if they were thy would not be here. he knew the direction but had to trust all the other senses that worked so he wouldn't hit a tree or something like that. he wasn't an outdoorsy kind or person anyways.

Kit stopped as she was pulling on her boots as a shiver went down her spine. Grabbing her phone off her bed she dialed Samantha's number. No answer. "Weird." She tried again and again, no answer. She called Brett's phone since he was always by Sam's side. Holding the phone to her ear with her shoulder she finished lacing up the knee high three inch platform goth boots and went downstairs while the phone was still ringing. "******** pick up kid." She growled under her breath.
