Davy Jones came into the tavern and Jack Sparrow was drunk as usual....he challenged Davy Jones to a drinking battle...it was said that the tavern had more rum then usual.

suishohatake Amu Tsukiyomi-sama suishohatake Amu Tsukiyomi-sama Nanzzy-chan Amu Tsukiyomi-sama I thought St. Nicholas' day was Dec 6? ”We're going off tonight to kick out every light, take anything we want, drink everything in sight We're going til the world stops turning while we burn it to the ground tonight”
I don't know how it is anywhere else in the world, and yes, that is the day he died at least, but in the Netherlands Saint Nick's day is always celebrated on the 5th 3nodding (and the season-appropriate candy is already in stores despite it only being halfway September~ emotion_kirakira )
Fun fact: Your Santa Claus was based off of our (which is to say, the European, because despite it being just a Dutch holiday, I do believe the Saint himself is more widespread) Saint Nicholas emotion_yatta Not that there's a lot of similarities anymore with how much Santa's portrayal has changed xd In America, it is on Dec 6. I know. I learned about Santa's origins long ago. Don't like Santa, prefer St. Nick by far. At least St. Nick really existed and isn't some crazy old guy who breaks into houses....and the over-comercialization of Xmas just pisses me off......not to mention, I've never liked the origin for christmas....kinda ruins my birthday, it does...Thankfully, my birthday isn't that close to Xmas, but still.... Wyrd! emotion_brofist In grade school, they always had us bring a sock to class or put a shoe out in the hallway (I think once we even made paper shoes) that day and at the end of school, we could take a sock or shoe full of chocolate coins home to nom in one sitting xD XD emotion_brofist I'd know nothing about the grade school thing....^_^;; But I'd always meant to put a shoe outside my door....and never remembered to...Then again, I didn't need to put a shoe out for Dec 6 to get presents that day anyway. Might be why I never really remembered the shoe, actually... Yeah, we hang stockings up that day and my mom would fill them with tons of candy, a small plushie, fruit, and nuts... I tell her now just to give me fruit and nuts and nothing else. She still manages to throw a lip gloss or two in there though xD But I do feel for ya! emotion_hug My birthday is the day before Valentine's day... it can get rather depressing sometimes... sad Oh, we do that, but it was only for christmas....never St. Nick's... I wouldn't mind St. Valentine's day so much....it's just that it's....well Christmas.

Makes way more sense xd
True dat, although, if you take the Dutch version of the story, it's just as crazy; he rides over the rooftops on his white horse and with his helpers, and basically brings the gifts the same way as Santa does xD Over-commercialization of anything is never good, IMO lol Being a Christian myself, I care a lot about the origin of Christmas (although even then, it's been so mixed up with Germanic holidays that it's pretty much impossible to pinpoint just exactly what does and what doesn't count as origin...); I'm actually glad over here we have the gift-giving part on Saint Nick's instead of Christmas so that that holiday can really just be focusing on what it's all about, at least for those who believe in it 3nodding ... Speaking of which, when IS your birthday? emotion_kirakira Oh, I meant the version where he walked from house to house leaving the presents. I'd rather read stories about Santa where he's called a ***** reverse burgling crazy man or something far more entertaining sounding a title than "santa". .........You DO know the real origin of christmas.......right? That it's actually not the day Jesus Christ was born on? That the Church created christmas so that all the pagans who celebrated the winter solstice would convert, or at least be more likely to? And I'm not saying when my birthday is. In December is as much as you're getting out of me....I'm pretty sure that no one who is in here a lot knows what day my birthday is. And actually, if you didn't already notice some things and figure it out, there is no chance I'm helping you.....Minky might hear.
