Already ahead of you there.
360 kinda blows.... it really didn't do anything new or amazing...
I'm curious as to the revolutions though...

Nelowulf A wing is 72 fighters, or 6 squadrons. Its the standard complement of an ISD. 72 TIEs. They normally don't have a term above that, besides air corps. @heretic: You must remember one thing: the more complex the craft, the more complex the computer pilot. If you're going to crank out fighters like a mexican cranks out kids, forget shields. There are only two tactics in building a fighter. You either swarm them out, or you build vastly superior fighters than your competetition. Right now the NR has some of the most advanced technology, and use real pilots. So if you're trying to outdo them technologywise, you're going to get your butt handed to you. Forget the shields, forget hyperdrives, and just use droids. Okay, thanks. Hmm, never was going to have hyperdrives (since these are carrier starfighters) and I guess I'll go without the shields, too. I sure he can, later in the war or something, produce some kustom starfighters with all the toppings, but yeah, for now, no hyper, no shields. So, they're going to rely upon speed, manuverability, and firepower. EDIT: Oh right, and hopefully numbers.

Well, another reason he might be able to swarm the enemy ships is that his carriers probably carry (easily) 100+ starfighters (assuming that 72 is standard for SDs), but he has fewer ships in total, of course. As to total number of fighters that he has in his fleet, I don't know. A lot, perhaps even an awful lot. And also, he has the fewest planets, and therefore not as much ground to cover with defenses, limited as they are.

100+ fighters...
Where are you going to put them all? An ISD is massive. A freighter is not.
any "carrier" that is carrying 100+ fighters will have no guns of its own.
Hell, the Flurry only carried 50 fighters... a Mon cal cruiser 36...
The only way your carriers will have 100+ fighters is two conditions:
1) no guns/shields, as entire space is dedicated to hangar bays 2) Your fighters are going to pretty much be tri-fighters or A-wings. You can't fit anything else in.

As with the Force, there must be balance in ship designs.

And numbers as well...
Not to mention, you still have to actually produce those fighters.

True But I would disagree consitering that the ISD is 1600 meters long and its holding bay is able to capture a Corellian Corvette. And the Droid Control Ship, 3400 meters in diamter, its ability to hold so many Droids, Droid Starfighters, and have spiffy confrence rooms to boot. So a craft could certainly hold 100+ fighters

The SD costs 3.88 billion credits, and the Trade Fed ships have no cargo space. You gonna join the next chapter general?
