Realizing that he had not got anyones attention, Deo was not content with being ignored. So he just got up with a box of sweet malasadas and went to approach Crystal and Reno.

“Hey, care for some of these sweets? We are on my grandma's sweets list. I am going to get some others for the people upstairs” Deo would also exercise caution as he could feel the anger from Crystal. So he would set the sweets down.

Grabbing some cupcakes, he would go to Doc Owl and as he went there, he could hear Darts and Doc talking. Years of “dont listen in on others” made him drown out the conversation. He walked in saying “Got some sweets for you both, my grandma made them and we will be getting more every so often” He would set them down and leave. Grabbing some chocolate covered berries, he would then head to Ter’s room and set them outside the door, knocking twice.

“Got some chocolate covered berries out here for ya, also more sweets in the kitchen” He would say. He walked to sub’s room next, and walked away from a snoring drunkard. The stench drove Deo away before he even got to say anything.

Crystal would listen to Reno, head tilted as she listened to Reno. There were the dregs of Cipher being brought back up.. And why hadn’t any of that stuff been outright destroyed? Then just more associates and a work in progress team for the mysterious mycelium man. But that was it on that front. The Pokémon from Area Zero felt like a little less of a concern, at least in her own comparison. At least outside of-

A new pair of footsteps would catch her ears, twitching as she turned to see who it was. Once it was known that it was Darts, she looked down and away, not wanting to look at him for a variety of reasons. She was still a bit pissed at him, but she was also embarrassed at her actions in Kitakami. And either way, she did not want any sort of repeat incidents so close together. Once she heard his footsteps grow distant, without any words spoken between them, or blows traded again, she would relax just slightly.

“They’re pronounced ma-LA-sa-das, by the way Deo. And thank you,” she’d quietly reply, though she wouldn't take a bite out of one yet. She still wasn’t in any mood to eat, and also had a bag full of mochi now as well. She would glance at Sub once he entered as well, stumbling and crawling his way up the stairs. Well, she could expect that chewing out to come later, at least, if his current state was anything to go by. She had half a mind to go hermit in her room now as well, just to avoid anyone else that might be coming in from Kitakami. She wasn’t ready to answer many potential questions about what happened at the festival at the moment. That was almost certainly going to get her blood boiling again. Whatever stood in for it, at least.

Darts glances up briefly, seconds away from getting inch long staples put through his head, sees Deo leave, and then shrugs. At least he'd have cupcakes afterwards.

Doc looked at the legendary Pokémon again, once again to make sure that his senses wasn’t giving him any sort of grief but there was a great deal of pressure coming from the likes of this Pokémon. “I’d believe it.” He said to Darts, reaching over towards Litten and pulled the stapler out of one of Litten’s pouches, followed by a clear sterile case, which when he popped it open, held staples that looked rather thick for what they were. He’d break the line of staples in half and shoved them into his staple gun. “With your accelerated healing, I’d imagine these can come out by the end of the week. This is to hopefully make sure that it heals right in the meantime with as little scarring as possible.” He said, adjusting his glasses a little then adjusting Darts’s head to where he can get at the large gash the Ogerpon promptly left on his head. “Though I am left to wonder just what this one did to warrant this kind of treatment. Ready yourself…” he said, putting the staple gun to Darts’s head, a loud click-snap could be heard immediately there after.

The Giratina hybrid, no stranger to pain, braces himself the best he can but even still he can't help but let a hiss escape his mouth as soon as the staple gun goes off.

WHAM. A fiery spiked cudgel smashes the staple gun to pieces, very nearly removing Doc's hand in the process as the Ogre removes her perceived threat to her new friend, sliding Darts' chair back and away from the situation with a kick of her 'sandled' foot.

"Po, pyon po!" She shouts, defiantly, as her mask ripples with fire. I cannot allow them to harm you. You will not take us alive, interlopers!

"Ogerpon, please, chill out!" Darts begs her, hands together as he tries to get in between the Orderly and Doc and the newest member of his team. And not for her protection. Orderly may have muscles but he sincerely doubted he was a match for this Pokemon. Arceus, this was going to be trouble. "Please, I know you barely know me but believe you me I would avoid getting these things in my head if I could... but I can't." Boy he usually would take any excuse to get out of seeing the doctor... but for once he actually needed it and things were complicated. "I told you I was going to show you the world, well, it starts here. Not everyone and everything is our enemy."

Her breathing is labored, smoke huffing out from the Hearthflame Mask's nostrils as she holds her cudgel in both hands defiantly, looking between Darts to the Orderly, to Doc, and then back again, her mask moving as she does so. After a couple of minutes of nothing happening, Darts slowly takes a couple of ginger steps forward, one (still injured) hand outstretched. "You can watch this happen if it makes you feel better, but you can NOT fight either of them. You said we had an accord and we were going to travel together, so... trust me."

The Ogre pauses, its breathing belabored still for a couple moments until, mercifully, its mask changes back to the Teal Mask, the Hearthflame going back amongst the collection lashed to its mask. "Grrr, pyon..." I do not think this is the way to do things... but if you say it must, it must. She acquiesces, letting her Ivy Cudgel dispel as Darts gets back into position on the table.

"Sorry about that Doc... hopefully you have a spare or two lying around..."

"Sorry about that Doc... hopefully you have a spare or two lying around..."

Doc only nearly loses his hand, pulling back out of reflex. He didn’t have the battle prowess of some members in Snagem, but flight reflex was almost as good. “HOOOO! Good lord!” In that same moment, Litten jumped, way up, shy of the roof out of pure shock at the hostility Ogrepon unleashed and as the second that it landed back on a flat surface, the cat scrambled, practically running in place as his paws tried to get traction. The very instant they did, the cat darted off like a shot, scrambling back down the hallway where it came. Various metal and plastic objects could be heard getting knocked over in the cat’s haste to get away. The whole instant made even Orderly jump a second, and was more than willing to try to restrain a hostile Pokémon as was trained to. It had strength in spades, but Doc knew it was a bad idea. Not with what he was sensing. “Orderly, no!”

“Ma-chaa!”

“It’s fine! Its…its fine…go…” he looked down towards the floor at the smashed staple gun then back towards the hall way. He had to take a breath for a second then took off his glasses, rubbing them clean on his shirt tail. They didn’t really need it, but it was an excuse to give him a few extra seconds for Darts to bring calm, let alone for Doc to bring peace to his nerves. This Pokémon was a ticking time bomb, unknowing of the ways of the modern world. “…go get another gun. There should be one in the supply closet. And go check on Litten too and try to explain that it needs to work up some nerve if he is to assist you, let alone me, in this place.”

It got a grumble out of Orderly, staring at the Ogrepon, but it was what the doctor ordered. The Machamp started to slowly step back some, keeping an eye on the legendary Pokémon. Some for the sake of the Doc, some for the sake of wondering if this thing was going to club Machamp with its back turned. “You…managed to acquire quite the spitfire here.” Doc said to Darts.

Wheeling his chair over and setting down his milkshake on the table, Reno would grab one of the malasadas before taking a large bite. Had things really gone so bad to warrant this whole tense atmosphere? The groans and stumbling of a very far-gone Sub, alongside the loud crash from the direction of the infirmary certainly seemed like an answer. Taking a moment to take another large bite, Reno said, "Glad to know me and Sol's relaxing few days of deep diving crime and cryptids like we're starting a podcast was the better vacation."

"And water, and rock, and grass... if what I recall from fighting it stays true." Darts admits, rubbing the back of his head. He gets an idea all of a sudden, a little virtual lightbulb popping off inside of his head. Standing up off the table while Orderly is still retrieving the supplies he opens the box Deo had brought in, retrieving a cupcake and placing it in one of her 'hands' inside the sleeve.

"Poooon?" She asks, a little incredulously. What's this?

"It's a cupcake, I'm not sure what flavor it is. But if you liked Candy Apples so much, this might just fill that same niche." He answers, sitting back down near doc. "Like I said, just trust me."

There's another pregnant pause as Ogerpon considers the cupcake that she held out in front of her, almost keeping it at arms length for a moment. Then, her mask slides up over the top of her head for the first time, her brilliantly yellow star-marked eyes flashing in HQ's lights as she glances somewhat nervously at Doc and Darts before moving it towards herself and taking a bite, chewing energetically with her razor sharp teeth.

"Owoooo....." She gasps, no translation needed as her eyes widen in wonder, quick to take another two bites in rapid succession as she masticates happily.

"See? Not everything out here is going to be a threat." Darts explains, surreptitiously waving Orderly over to hurry and bring the stuff now while she was adequately distracted.

Doc stared at Ogrepon, now seeing that the mask wasn’t necessarily part of the Pokémon per se, in a similar fashion to say a Marowak’s bone club or a Farfetch’d leek, but still nonetheless crucial. The face was interesting on this Pokémon too. A rather curious sort; almost endearing looking as it started to enjoy the cupcake. Orderly finally got back into the room with a new staple gun and a new set of staples. Quickly, the Machamp himself loaded the new stapler and handed it to Doc. Doc Owl would walk around a bit, giving himself some room between Ogrepon and himself then once again adjusted Darts’s head so he could get the best look at his injury. He took a cursory glance at the Pokémon then back at the injury. He’d line up the staple gun in the next needed spot. Then finally…click-snap.

Finally, peacefully, Ogerpon seems to be distracted enough with the cupcake that Darts' minor wincing and hisses of pain isn't enough to drive her into a rage, and finally Doc's able to close up his head without further incident. He offers his hands next, cuts and cracks running through the golden material that have started to regenerate, again albeit semi-slowly. Certainly faster than a human.

The Masked Pokemon finishes its cupcake finally and pulls its green mask down, re-initiating the wall between itself and the outside world. It seemed to feel a bit better now between the snack and re-putting its mask back on, curiously looking and gaping a little bit at the things in the lab. Wandering a bit aimlessly, it pokes and prods into a few of Doc's sets of tools, not dismantling things but exploring as it opens an older-looking medbag, pulling out a stethoscope.

"Pon, pon pon pon, pyon?" What is this? I've never seen anything like this before, she asks, holding the object up for Darts and, after a small shy hesitancy, over towards Doc for similar inspection.

Doc would save his sigh of relief until after he finished tending to the injury, which only needed a couple more staples. After putting the staple gun aside, he would start to examine the other injuries which looked superficial, but with Darts’s own unique physiology, it was hard to tell if any thing was needed. Doc had became aware of Darts’s healing, something that he had others to express disbelief in, but it was what it was. The thing he realized though it was sort of a blessing and a curse all in one. In superficial injuries through the golden pieces on himself, it was probably fine the way they are and just needed to be treated similar to other injuries. Clean surface treatments and be done with it. Nothing seemed to be warped in any capacity that would warrant realignment. In that in cases like broken limbs and such, without quick action to get the injury set in place, it could heal wrong before Doc would have a chance to get to it and effectively cripple Darts. It was as similar reasoning as to why he was needing to take the stapler to that large gash.

As Darts continued to get examined, Doc started to notice that Ogerpon starting to have a bit of a curiosity streak as it started to explore the med lab. The Machamp, Orderly, was getting antsy, as the things the weird Pokémon was trying to find itself in, he took meticulous time in cleaning, organizing, and so on only for Ogerpon to potentially ruin it. Doc caught a cursory glance, giving him a tap on his large shoulder and gave a shake of his head 'no'. It was fine. Don’t need to cause any more havoc, let alone broken utensils than what already had transpired here. This Pokémon was primitive, unknown to what the modern world was like. Doc was reminded of Tristen at a very young age, specifically around the time Blizzard took the boy under his wing, but even more extreme than even that by leaps and bounds. Etiquette was a foreign concept to Ogerpon, for one. And every last thing not nailed down was a discovery that needed to be parsed through.

Once Ogerpon found the stethoscope, Doc couldn’t help but to give a slight chuckle. It was a kid, through and through. Doc would gently take the stethoscope and start to show her. “This is a stethoscope. I use this to listen to people’s breathing and their heartbeat.” He said, putting the stethoscope on proper. “Like this.” He then looked towards Darts, trying to give him a sign to let him demonstrate if only a few seconds. He’d put the diaphragm flat onto Darts’s chest, giving a listen for a heartbeat, and when he got what he needed, he would take off the ear frame and offered to Ogerpon. “Would you like to listen?” he then asked.

"Well it's good to know I still HAVE a heart." Darts laughs, half kidding and half truthful given his physiognomy. Doc must have thought he was good to go, after looking at his hands and giving a dubious hoot through his nose he wasn't administering anything else to him.

Ogerpon watches cautiously as Doc holds the instrument up to Darts' chest, still seemingly coiled kind of tight in case it was a trick or a threat of some kind, so when she gets the offer made to listen she's still a little dubious. She scoots forward, a little at a time, until she's close enough to raise her mask and take a listen, tilting her head enough to fit one ear close to the frame.

Th-thump, th-thump.

She hears Darts' heartbeat for the first time and gasps a little, audibly, her star-marked eyes widening a little and her mouth gaping to show off her incisors. "Pon, pon?" What's that? She asks, incredulous. "Pyo pon po pon." He's making sounds.

“That’s his heart.” Doc Owl told Ogerpon. “That’s one of the things in his body that keeps him alive. You have one of those, too, you know. A lot of living things has them.” He said, pulling the chest piece away from Darts, then offered it to Ogerpon. “Here, put this on your chest. Have a listen.” Doc offered to the legendary Pokémon. This Pokémon was still a little on guard with everything that has been going on over the past few minutes so it was best to respect the boundaries for the time being.

She looks up at Doc, a bit dubiously it seemed to Darts, before looking at him as if to ask if it was a trick. He gives her an encouraging nod and she takes the receiver to place it on her own body. She almost topples backwards in surprise as she hears the same sort of sound with maybe a faster rhythm in her own body. The diminutive Pokemon pauses, handing the whole situation back over to Doc as she appears lost in thought. After a couple minutes, a ripple of color runs down her arms and sleeve like protrusions, turning from green to grey-black. Vines swap her masks for her, covering her original face as the goofy grinning face of her Cornerstone Mask swaps in.

"Pyonpyonpyonpyon!" She chortles, rocking back and forth, clearly amused by the whole situation.

"Uh..." Darts was a little bemused by the Legend's reaction. "I'm glad she feels good about... her heart at least." He says to Doc, letting out a little of the breath he had been holding in.

“Well, it’s a wonder for anyone that doesn’t know how the world works. Let her have her fun.” Doc said, putting the stethoscope around his neck after taking it back when the legendary was done with it. “Just make sure that she doesn’t break anything else in the process.”

“Machaa…” Machamp concurred.

“Orderly, did you check on Litten by chance?” he then asked the Machamp.

“Macha-chaaa.” The Machamp replied to the doctor.

“Hiding under the-hoo…I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised after what happened. And you told him what I told you to?”

“Machamp.”

“Probably something its not going to grow out of until it evolves probably…” Doc speculated. “All the same, he doesn’t need to be hiding in the closet like that, cudgel-wielding Pokémon or no. Get him out of there and check on the things that he knocked over in his haste, please. If anything did break, let me know.” He said. The Machamp would then walk off to retrieve the Litten out of his hiding place. “I got the feeling its not going to be as easy to train Litten in the ways of a medical office as it was for Orderly.” Doc said Darts. “At any rate, now that I managed to get the bigger issue on you taken care of, everything else will mend in time. But as I mentioned, do not find yourself going to bed not for at least another six hours. I have to make sure that there aren’t internal issues after taking a swift hit that earned those staples on you. Though feel free to go on and get yourself cleaned off in the process.”

"Thanks doc, I appreciate your services as always." He says, giving the Noctowl hybrid a little mock bow. "Next vaycay though, you're coming with just in case." Darts warns him, his voice trailing back over his shoulder as he starts making his way out of the medbay. "C'mon Ogerpon, let's get a move on."

It jumps a little, the stone mask bobbing from where it had been chuckling quietly to itself, before starting to follow its trainer out of the room. As it left, the mask would turn backwards to cast a little bit of a nervous gaze at Orderly and Doc Owl, before giving a slight little wave and leaving. Clearly, outside of Darts, it had no trust in other people given what had happened back in Kitakami.

The Giratina hybrid makes his way through the halls of HQ, the currently Rock type in tow, as he tries to find another Rock type. I owe Clare a little bit of an apology..." he thinks to himself, musing. But he had never even really talked to Clare before the trip so where was he going to find them?

Ogerpon is following quietly, still in a good mood as evidenced by her mask placement, gazing up and down at the technical marvels of modern hallways. It wasn't particularly enchanted with the electricity - Kitakami had power after all - but compared to the cave she had come from, this place was practically 10 decades forwards in terms of complicated technology.
