And partly because I imagine you to be that woman in your sig. <3 this should be tipped. As for fighters talk... I can't stand meta-gaming and that's all competitive fighters is. Everyone just grabs the whatever games equivalent to Akuma/Ryu or Guile and exploits their broken a** reaction times and hit frames. Pass on that. That's just not true. (The second part) I've never seen people using these and I've been playing online fighters for years. In fact, when I see Akuma I am usually happy because he is so fragile and most players just aren't good enough to use all of his moves effectively. Besides, just because some people are dicks doesn't mean it's ruined for everyone. It's no worse than snipers and campers in CoD, and that's the way you're supposed to play that game.

All I ever see is Shotokan level faggots online no matter the game.
I gotta regretfully agree with Molestia... Guilty Gear was one of the best made fighters, mostly because they were one of the few to take body mass into account. HUEG GAIs hit harder, had better defense but were slower and little dudes were the reverse.

Guilty Gear is da bess. Nothing quite like it. Even BlazBlue isn't even close to how well balanced and polished GG was, and its made by the same company.
But then again Eddie was an overpowered f*****t so...

I think one of the best things GG accomplished was making every character feel unique. And I don't mean like "oh their moveset looks different", I mean there was an ABSURD variance between any two characters on movelists, attack timing, combos, etc. To say nothing of the art style and the soundtrack (da bess soundtrack ever).
Its pretty impressive when Robo-Ky, a robot clone of one of the other characters, is still MASSIVELY different from the character he's a carbon copy of.
Let alone the amount of different playstyles for each character.
Except for Eddie. Eddie is like "LOL I'M A TOUHOU SHMUP CHARACTER DODGE ALL THIS s**t LOLOLOLOLOL".
