I stopped doing serious competitive s**t after L5R changed a few times and I got tired of Quake/Doom/CS.
These days I just wanna get together with a few buds, play video games, and drink lots of gin.

C. Fox I think competitive play is fun, but I stay away from it.. cause of SALT Oh, dat salt. Will ruin your day, make you do and say things you'll later regret. That why I dont bother playing ranked in league, or playing with people i know irl. People get incredibly butthurt, and I don't wanna have to beef with someone irl cause I have a short fuse. I rather sit and watch tournaments-- watch people play. I hang around tournament friends, so I'm use to it. It's also how I got very good at fighting games because of them. Even made me get good at the party game smash bros. I understand why it's fun cause it upgrades the level of play to more of a mental game.

Getting older, group I played with splitting up, average community member being a t**t, getting into MMOs at the time, doing RPGA for 3.5 at two stores. I still sit down and hammer that s**t through Nightmare every now and again but my multiplayer days are reserved for super boredom days.

Well Vin it's fun cause you actually learn how to play the game.
It's not fun sitting there, mindlessly mashing buttons. I never got how people can settle for that.

I still get online once a month with my Dad and do a multiplayer Quake 3 run for at least four hours, talking about how life has been....it's like, the ONLY way I can get the man to talk with me. XD

XD Thankfully I can just go to my parents house to see my father. My Gaia group met a similar fate, just all hit that busy point and now we just kind of chat every now and again.

And partly because I imagine you to be that woman in your sig. <3 this should be tipped. As for fighters talk... I can't stand meta-gaming and that's all competitive fighters is. Everyone just grabs the whatever games equivalent to Akuma/Ryu or Guile and exploits their broken a** reaction times and hit frames. Pass on that.
