But alright let me try to explain this before I pass out. So I was in my self-defense class last night and we were talking about being backed up into a corner. Then the teacher explained that there are some fighters who use the wall to their advantage, in other words they let themselves be backed up into it so they can step and leap off of it and things like that. And I thought what a great idea for a 2-d fighter game. After all the walls in those games always really annoyed me because most people will just put you against the wall and just wail on you until you get knocked out, but what if every character had a move (kinda like a grab) that they could use to escape that scenario? Like a counter that can only be used when the opponent is in close proximity and you're back up against the wall.
