Touya nodded. "Makes sense. Unfortunately it means you'll have to be on your guard around bird boy. At any rate, I'll help you look after your sister so long as we're here. Though if they all keep drinking, they might just pass out here and not need to return to your house at all for the night. Yusuke's mother doesn't seem to... notice or mind much that there are so many of us here."

Touya glanced down at her with a small smile on his face. "I suspect she's dealt with worse than this crowd, amazing as the thought might be. I assume it's most likely that she'll sleep so late tomorrow, which this group cannot really afford to do, that she won't even see them in the morning, or perhaps even remember we were here tonight, as long as they don't finish off too much of her alcohol. Of course, for all I know, she might just think she drank it all herself."
He sighed and sat down beside her. "Either way, we're in for a long night and an unpleasant morning."

Mizuumi tensed slightly as he sat beside her and replied, "I couldn't agree with you more ..." Her thoughts about what happened on the school roof earlier that night made her feel even more uncomfortable though she couldn't afford to move seeing as how her little sister was asleep on her lap. She looked away from Touya and down at her slumbering sister and kitten. Isizu's soft purrs managed to calm Mizuumi down enough so that she could tolerate sitting next to Touya for the time being. She began to stroke at Evelyn's hair, her fuchsia eyes softened as she remembered how her mother used to use this method on her when she was a little girl herself. A small smile swept along Mizuumi's face as the pleasant thoughts continued to sway her mind like the waves on a sunset beach.

Touya watched Mizuumi with her sister and the kitten for a while quietly, smiling slightly. If he only paid attention to their small group and pointedly ignored Shishi's shrieking, it was almost pleasant. Tentatively, he scooted just a little closer to her until his shoulder was pressed against Mizuumi's, though as he executed this maneuver he pointedly didn't look at her.

For a few minutes Touya just sat there, his shoulder against hers. He had felt her tense up and thus didn't want to try anything else, at least not until she relaxed a bit. However, he did turn his head to face her and give her a warm, slightly shy smile.

There were unexistant words to explain the current situation taking place in the appartment.
Silently in a murky corner Touya and Mizuumi mused romantic words descretely. He coughed once and drifted his gaze from the couple. However, he could foresee the disastrous repercution of their loving attemp. Yet, he hoped to be wrong.
At least Hagiri's bike had safely landed in the parking lot located at the base of the building.
The situation became tense when Shishi assaulted Yukina, knowing Hiei was around. To prevent more chaos, he solely smiled at the bird demon and escorted Yukina toout of the appartment to the corridor, closing the door silently after abandoning the place. "..You should return to Genkai's temple
..I see the evident worry feeling. But you shouldn't..fear for those teenager's safety"

Mizuumi felt movement from the ice demon as he turned and gave her what looked to be warm, yet shy smile. Mizuumi replied by returning a smile of her own. An ill at ease, nervous, shy, yet gentle smile and turned around again at continued to stroke her sister's hair, observing the calming effect it had on her. Isizu had subconsciously snuggled towards Mizuumi's leg, searching for warmth. Mizuumi stopped brushing Evelyn's hair and picked up the slumbering kitten and softly pet it's head. She relaxed a bit as she watched Kurama escort Yukina off the premises.

"Good move on Kurama's part," Touya observed, his voice low. He set his now empty bottle of beer down on the floor beside his leg and sighed. "It's been a long night. Hopefully these guys will quiet down and we can all get some sleep." He shook his head, leaning it back against the wall. "At least this night hasn't been all bad," he said then, his voice almost hesitant and he gave her another shy smile and slowly, blushing faintly, put his arm around her shoulders, but lightly so she could easily bat him aside if she objected.

Mizuumi breathed a mental sigh of relief as Touya leaned back against the wall. Feeling a bit relieved herself, she did the same. She continued to stroke her kitten when she felt an arm put lightly over her shoulders... She tensed up, again, as her reflexes told her to shove the arm off and jump-kick whoever it was that touched her, but before she committed any action resembling that of which her reflexes commanded her to, she slowly glanced to the side where Touya was and saw a faint blush on his face. She quickly turned around as a blush quickly appeared on her face as well, hoping that no one saw this ...

Mildly surprised he hadn't been batted off, Touya allowed his arm to rest more heavily on her shoulders, his hand gently cupping her shoulder. Shishi was distracted, this could be his best and only chance to get close to her at all for a while. With luck, the bird brain wouldn't notice and say something irritating.
But realizing the chance he had made Touya slightly more bold than he would have otherwise been, and he tugged her very softly against him, so she would just barely be leaning on him. "You really are lovely," he said softly, not looking at her.

Mizuumi felt Touya's arm rest a bit more heavily on her shoulder as she just sat there with her sleeping sister and kitten on her lap and let herself be held closer to Touya. His skin didn't seem so cold seeing as how she was part ice youkai herself though she had to admit, it did give her shivers. Being tense, and being cold, not a good mix. ~What in the world is he doing?~ She heard his comment and blushed even more, not replying to his comment out of complete awkwardness ...

With her nestled gently against him, Touya relaxed, the tension of the day draining out of his body as he enjoyed the cool energy coming off of her. He only hoped she would let some of her tension go as well, as she was still rather rigid. For a moment he worried he had been too forward, but she hadn't shrugged him off or told him to leave her alone, so until she did he would keep his arm around her comfortably.
Though he let his guard drop, he made sure to keep most of his attention focused on Shishi and the others. The last thing he needed was for this pleasant moment to be interupted.

Fuyu was invited to the Dark Tournament as a watcher, but never participated due to her nobility rank. But there was something about Touya. The ice master who fought with the honor of her prince. Since then, she has been looking forwards to meet him. (( After watching the latest YYH DVD and Touya in his fight! Gah! He is so smxy!! ))
