Good part of Texas: you're asked anything about states that involves the word "bigger" or "greater than", you say Texas. It WORKS.
.....sub-Bad part: that also means abortion, death penalty, and SLAVERY! oh the horror.
Good part of being German in Texas: I fit right in, I don't have to live on a reservation (yay for being just enough Native American to totally RAWK! o: ) and my ancestors can't be blamed for WWII! WOO! Because we got kicked out for like, chasing the duke's daughter or something xd
Bad Part: stereotypes. I DO NOT speak in a hick accent, thank you, and my grammar ROCKS. I think. I've never actually talked to northerners, but I've talked to Salimah and she speaks Hindi, dude, and she didn't say anything.

Oh, I know all about stereotypes. I was talking my "cousin" Lisa (my dad's brother's wife's sister's daughter), who lives in Michigan and I said we should exchange e-mail address's, and she's like, "You guys have ELECTRICITY?" and I said "Well, yeah," and she said, "Do you have running water, too?" and I said, "WELL, YEAH!" and she said, "Wow, you must be rich or somethin'! I bet everyone wants to come to your house, since you got all the cool stuff."
Yes, in Northern Maine we have electricity and running water and indoor plumbing and we don't live in log cabins and hunt to survive. stare
... Though, I unfortunately can be blamed for WWII... Sowwy...

Opening cow heart: fun, fun.
Ours looked like, well, a heart (this kind of heart ♥), and we managed to find all the parts that were listed on our lab papers. The hearts they gave us had fat wrapped around the outside of it and, haha, we couldn't help but poke and watch a bit of fat ooze out.
It was amaaaaziiiiiiiing.
