Hi about the migraines...... I found out about this many many years ago, and it helps me and my friends with everything from migraines to caffine withdrawl..... 3nodding When they are just comeing on if you apply pressure to the pressure point in the fleshy web between your thumb and forefinger it may make it go away at the get go. That nerve is attached to the endorphian place in your brain and will make it release natural body made painkillers into your body...If it is bad, crying and you are ready to try something new try this.....first drink as much water as you can hold, then sit in the shower with the spray on your head as hot as you can stand it, if you have unlimited hot water no more than 30 minutes. (20 minutes if you weigh less than 120 lbs.) let the heat soak in to your head, this will raise your blood presure and expand and relax the cells in your head. This may feel bad, you are adding pressure to your already owie head.(you want to sit because the heat can make you dizzy.) Massage the presure points in your hands while you are waiting. make sure that you are breathing slow and evenly just don't fall asleep and drown, that would be bad sad . then the hard part, once you are hyperthermic, you need to swich the water on your head to cold. very cold. eek your whole body doesn't need to be in the cold, just your head. this constricts the blood vessels in your head and will help the pain alot. you may be sleepy when you are done or it may give you an energy boost it efects me and my friends in different ways. just make sure that you are not alone in the house and don't operate heavy machineiry ( a car) untill you know what it does. Oh and no music, if your brain is having to process the music it has less neurons left over to kill the pain. Good luck P.S. I know that you don't drink, but for anyone who does this is a great way to rid your self of a hangover too. Just don't forget to drink the water.

Tankies, Mooncipher! *huggles* I'll keep that in mind.
Oh! And I tried the grounding thing.....it worked.....temporarially. I would have kept doing it, but I was inside with a bunch of catholics and they were already wondering why I kept putting my hand out the window.... sweatdrop

Mooncipher then the hard part, once you are hyperthermic, Do you mean "hypothermic"? Because, if you do...that's your body's reaction of, well, dying when it begins to freeze. sweatdrop Not when shocked by too much heat. It's definition is "abnormally low body temperature". Usually the symptoms are loss of feeling and function to outer limbs, shivering, and turning blue. I believe it also usually involves frostbite in some form. sweatdrop
Also - a health warning. To go from very hot to very cold too quickly can cause a shock to your body's nerves and, when we lived in Washington, they reported it to cause heart attacks or death if the shock is too great. This is why they don't encourage cold showers in summer - the change can cause problems for your nerves.

Hyothermia is not good. I experienced a mild case of it once when our truck died in -50 degree Celsius weather and had to wait two hours for a tow truck. stressed
And I don't know why I didn't think of this 'til now. . .
Tanya: My Mother tends to get headaches quite a bit, and she uses either a little bag with lavender in it over her eyes, or a bit of peppermint oil on her brow. Obviously you have to be lying down for either one, but they certainly seem to work. 3nodding

In medical terms, the prefix "hypo" means slow. Hypo-thermia is when the blood and water in your body slow down and begin to freeze. The medical prefix, "hyper", means fast. Hyper-thermia would be your body temperature going way way up. Probably boiling, or at least semi-dangerous if it gets it's own condition name. 3nodding
