Tristen would run to the upper floors of the academy, seeking out Clavell's office to try and get to the bottom of things. He'd have to zigzag through many students but noted the closer he got to Clavell's office the fewer students he encountered. Did they just not hang out this close to his office? It's possible. The strangeness would become more and more apparent as he arrived at the door and found not a soul in the hallway, the only sound being the siren of the fire alarm.
Upon opening the door he'd be greeted to all sorts of machines towards the front of the office, some looking like new additions, while towards the back of the office he found Clavell, bound and tied to his desk chair with Atticus standing next to him, his Muk stretched up and towering behind Clavell threateningly. Furthermore now that he was in the office the static was very prominent and it was coming from one of these machines, all of them humming along for whatever reason.
"Didn't expect one of you to show up so soon." Atticus said smugly. "Least of all you, I figured your leader would be the one to figure it out and show up. Oh well, I suppose you're a better annoyance than the hammer wielding gremlin. Once I'm done with you I'll find her and turn her hammer into scrap." He said, making some sort of hand sign.
In response to the hand sign a Pokemon that was clinging to the light fixtures made its move, dropping its Camouflage as the Dragalge launched a Sludge Bomb at Tristen, the glob of poisonous goo exploding on impact with body or ground and sending goo flying in the resulting explosion.

SubonicXP In response to the hand sign a Pokemon that was clinging to the light fixtures made its move, dropping its Camouflage as the Dragalge launched a Sludge Bomb at Tristen, the glob of poisonous goo exploding on impact with body or ground and sending goo flying in the resulting explosion. Tristen started to go down the halls, making his way through what remained of the students. He started to wave them down where to go as he passed. Hopefully they would make it out the door in one peace. As he traversed the halls, he started to try to think just what was going on; what was the whole plan here? What was Malva trying to accomplish and why did she want to involve a bunch of kids his age to do it? Just what did they all have that got Malva to do this? Did she honestly believe that Team Snagem wouldn’t harm a bunch of teenagers? Tristen could only speculate right at the moment; wishing that he had opportunity to talk to Sub about his time trying to deal with Team Snagem and what he had found out in the meantime. Tristen started to feel a bit of regret, looking at his want for at least the experience of a normal life relatively selfish with all considered. It got B and E into a predicament that they had no chance of getting out of without Tristen being there. He’d have to lament about that later, however. He was on the job now, for better or for worse. Once the Manetric teen found his way close to Clavell’s office, his eyes started to narrow in suspicion. Something was wrong here. That feeling in the air, it was close. He was sure of it. There was no one else here. Did Clavell run out of here? Was this just a waste of time? But then…if everyone was in a hurry to leave, why take the time to close the doors in the case of an emergency? Tristen walked towards Clavell’s office and opened the door and took a look around. A large office, lined to the brim with all manner of devices. They looked as if chi converters…but that couldn’t have been all it, could it? On the far end, at Mr. Clavell’s desk, Clavell tied to his chair and a familiar face, or lack there of considering how covered he kept it. It was the guy that Sub had in tow the other day. Atticus. Tristen’s eyes narrowed, realizing this has gotten exorbitantly serious, but for reasons that he still doesn’t know about. As Atticus did his very brief villainous monologue, Tristen’s mind was working at warp speed, trying to figure out the best way to deal with this. The Muk was close by ready to do anything to Mr. Clavell at a moment’s notice. Worse, Tristen couldn’t send out just any Pokémon. Even in a room this large, the biggest Pokemon he could technically send out was Dragonite. Unfortunately, Dragonite hadn’t fully recovered from last night and worse, either way, anything Dragonite could do could very easily catch Mr. Clavell in its wake. Gyarados is an absolute no-go, being too large for the innards of the building. And worse, Wimpod, who he had along to help train with Spewpa, was not going to stand too much of a chance. He didn’t take into any consideration of having to standing his ground a fight in a building like this; Team Star made their move before Tristen had time to think about doing anything like this. It left his options rather limited. Tristen was quick to notice the gesture of Atticus’s hand, then quickly looked up, seeing the Dragalge out of his camouflage and poised to bombard Tristen with its attack. Tristen instinctively pulled back on the door and the very instant he managed to slam it closed, he’d find himself blown off his feet, the door off its hinges, and getting carried to a nearby wall, slamming him up against it with the door on top of him. “Uggh…this…is just not…my…day…” Tristen said. Tristen reached over, getting a Pokeball at the ready then shoved the door off from on top of him. “Xatu!” Tristen tossed the Pokeball forward, scrambling up to his feet. The ball flashes open and out came Tristen’s Xatu ready for battle. “Xatu! Psychic!” Tristen shouted, pointing towards the Dragalge. The Xatu looked up towards the venomous Pokémon and unfurled its wings, unleashing a powerful psychic blast towards the Dragalge.

Tsuki had been awake early, going over some history material for an exam he had coming up. It was about the Kalosian War and the effects it had on other regions, namely Paldea and Galar. Suffice it to say, when a text from Absinthe hit the group chat about Sub getting jumped in the courtyard, he likewise jumped at the opportunity to get the hell out of his little room. Whereas yesterday he had been caught off guard and careless, today he was ready to pull up finally. He had a team of six ready to go, so the trainer opened up his dorm’s window and phone.
He looked at the other notifications. His uncle had been trying to get ahold of him via calls and text, and like usual Tsuki ignored them. But he skimmed one message, something about it being serious. The trainer shook his head. “If it was so serious, you’d talk to me yourself.” He mumbled, before sending out his Flygon Terra and hopping out of the window and onto her back.
“Go that way to the courtyard, follow the sound of some punks who need to get their teeth kicked in!” Tsuki said, holding tight as Terra bounded upwards and made a direct flight on that path. He was suddenly very grateful for being able to fly on Aile’s Flygon. It definitely helped him get the hang of it again. The view of the Star Grunts surrounding Sub made it perfectly clear to him what was going on, even if he didn’t really know what was going on. He hopped off his Flygon as she swooped down and recalled her back to her ball.
All these Fighting types, for a moment Tsuki sarcastically wondered what Pokemon he’d ought to use to leverage what advantage he could get here. Clicking one of his Pokeballs, he sent out a Hypno. “Go Grumps, make some distance for us with a Psychic!” He called out, directing his Pokemon to use his psychic energy to create an outward push on nearby hostiles. Not exactly an intended application of the move, and Tsuki suspected it’d lessen the damage potential, but he wanted to trip up as many foes as he could to create openings for the others.
“So uh, anybody know what the hell is going on here?!” Tsuki yelled amidst the chaos. Between Raifort suddenly being poofed into a Zoroark yesterday and this, something was up. But without a way to sense chi himself, he didn’t yet have enough on his own to piece everything together.

Much to Sub's pleasure his teammates appeared in droves to defend their leader, various Pokeballs opening up with bright sparkles of light, much to Caph Squad Boss Eri's displeasure. First came Terashi's Gardevoir who sent a Primape flying with Psychic followed up by Abby's Breloom who delivered a Force Palm upon an unsuspecting Passimian. A Heracross attempted to use the sudden appearance of new defenders to sneak in a Mega Horn on Sub only for a stream of fire to spiral around him as Odd's Charcadet utilized Fire Spin to protect him, the Heracross recoiling in fire of the flames. And for some reason it didn't feel hot. Wait a minute, what was this aurora surrounding him? The Aurora Veil protected him from the fire. "Ter! Abby! Odd! Amber! Everyone!" Was all Sub managed to get around as he was shocked by the response, looking up at the snow falling.
The students would not heed Amber's call to defend the academy, the Snagem perhaps forgetting these were normal people, students, a majority of them children. They were scared not only by the sudden attack by Team Star but also the arrival of Team Snagem, no one wanted to get caught in the crossfire and you couldn't blame them. They weren't made for this life. At least Spooky and Arauth got a hit in on Hawlucha and Toxicroak with Clare striking the Flamigo.
Just when it looked like the ring of Fighting types around Sub would regather their wits and resume their assault Leslie's Fearow would swoop in and dispatch all of them with a will timed Drill Run, the various Fighting types around Sub now knocked out on the ground. While there was still plenty more around the courtyard that at least made certain Sub was safe.
Smashing down and knocking three grunts on their behinds and harming their Mankey. The three looked at their Mankey and single Passimian on their backs, then at each other and then at Leslie. Any other time they would surrender but something was different this time, something made these lowly grunts more defiant. "Attack!" They shouted as they pointed at Leslie, their simians leaping off the ground stretching and pouncing upon Leslie. The monkeys would then proceed to punch, scratch, and even kick at Leslie as they went bananas on her, some of their blows empowered by Fighting energy. Tsuki's Hypno would blast its way to Leslie's side just in time to see her get jumped by the trio of chimps.
Eri would scoff as Amber's ghost try to attack her, the boss's own Toxicroak acting first as it disappeared and then reappeared in front of Turace as it delivered a Dark energy infused fist to its face with Sucker Punch before bouncing back to the Starmobile's balcony. A Protect would then surround the Starmobile, the attacks from Deo's Pokemon bouncing off. Just attacking blindly with numerous Pokemon was not the best strategy. The Protect disappeared soon after.
Annoyed as she watched several Pokemon get taken out by blasts of Psychic energy she clocked the culprit and thought to do something about it herself, that was until something else annoyed her. As her frog returned she would hear Reno's tapping behind her before he spoke, groaning slightly as she just knew this was just going to grate her gears further.
"That's for me to know and you to figure out in the next life." She said, glancing in the Alakazam's direction before turning back to Reno. "Help him get there, Annihilape! Use Rage Fist!" She commanded as she stomped on the ground, the force of her own stomp knocking a Pokeball off her belt which unleashed one extremely angry 'zombie' ape. The Annihilape would come flying out of the ball with an otherworldly scream of rage, directing its immense anger at Reno as it punched in his direction with a fistful of Ghost energy. No matter if Reno stayed still or dodged it would look like the punch was short and just missed its mark before the fist unleashed an explosion of ghostly energies and would send Reno, or anyone that tried to get in the way, flying off the Starmobile.
"Caph Squad! Beta maneuver!" Eri commanded her grunts once Reno was taken care of, calling out to them with her booming voice.
The grunts would respond to the command by dividing into two groups, one going left the other right. Launching their attacks with their Fighting Pokemon the Snagems would be threatened to be corralled into two groups on either ends of the courtyard with Sub left alone in the middle, no doubt for Eri to target. They needed to fight off these attacks least they get surrounded and Sub left vulnerable, especially now that their protection of him now trapped him, even if it was unintentional. It was a divide and conquer strategy. "Ready the Combat Torque..." Eri told the Starmobile as it began to rev up.
Terashi, Abby, Odd, and Deo have been pushed to the left. Clare, Amber, Leslie and Tsuki have been pushed to the right.
The grunts now emboldened launch group assaults on the Snagems and their Pokemon. A Hawlucha and Flamigo launch Wing Attacks at Abby's Breloom for either side. A Gallade leaps out from the crowd to slash Rala down with a Shadow Claw. A Primape jumps Odd's Charcadet and attempts to Seismic Toss it into Deo's Steelix. Meanwhile a swarm of Mankey jumped the rest of Deo's Pokemon and the Snagems of the left group.
On the right things weren't much better as numerous platoons of Falinks advanced on them, threatening them with Megahorns. Speaking of big horns the Heracross from earlier would charge in and attempt to scoop up Visage with its mighty horn and throw the Dreepy at Clare herself as it executed Fling. Amber's Ghosts wouldn't be safe either as a pair of Hariyama bounced in to smack away two of her ghosts with their giant hands as they utilized Knock Off to harm them, aiming to send the ghosts flying into Amber herself. And as for Leslie and Tsuki, the former of which was still being attacked by monkeys and hoping Tsuki could help, a Medicham was attempting to sneak in close and once Tsuki wasn't paying attention it would strike a vital pressure point on the trainer and knock the kid out, rendering him unable to command his Pokemon, that is unless his Hypno noticed the Medicham first.
Monique was largely unnoticed for some reason, even in spite of not being under an illusion. Were they used to seeing Zoroark hybrids or something? It was only when the Snagems were being corralled into two groups did she get recognized as a target, a grunt sending their Cyclizar at her as it executed a Dragon Rush, the dragon rushing towards her, aiming to run her over.
[OOC: The Snagems need to help each other break through the hordes of grunts and their Fighting Pokemon to save Sub, who is technically trapped in a Fire Spin, before the Starmobile runs him over. Work together, only one of you needs to be the 'hero'. Write out a post fighting off the Pokemon, you may control the enemy Pokemon's actions. I'll let you choose who goes to rescue Sub while the rest of you have your characters help get them there.]

"Rala, return," I ordered, calling Rala back to her ball after she was struck by the Shadow Claw. I then let three Pokemon out of their balls - Sparrow the Talonflame, Yuki the Alolan Raichu, and Samurai the Dewott. "Sparrow, use Aerial Ace. Teach that Gallade a lesson for daring to hurt your friend. Yuki, help Abby out and zap those Flying-types with Discharge. Samurai, use Water Pulse to wash away the Fire Spin surrounding Sub. Try to have it form around him, so he's not actually hit by it.
My Pokemon sprang into action as Abby looked on. "Hey, that's not a bad idea! Come back, Broly!" she cheered, recalling her Breloom as Yuki levitates between the two Flying-types that were attacking it and releases a great deal of electricity to clip their wings with. Abby then lets out her own Electric-type. "Discharge, Pawmi! Give it most of what you got, but make sure to save some for yourself!"
Her Pawmi seemed all too hapy to zap some birds, and while its contribution to the electricity of the air might not have been as pwoerful as Yuki's, I'd be surprised if they could keep going after all that amperage. While this was happening, Sparrow was flying circles around the enemy Gallade, scratching its body with her Flying-energy-infused beak in the process. Samurai, meanwhile was struggling to quench the fire surrounding Sub. He did prefer using his physical strength, so I wasn't completely surprised. That said, there was a good number of us here, so it was likely that another Snagem would have their Pokemon help Samurai out.

Amber swore when Eri's Tokicroak used Sucker Punch to protect its master, causing Turace to cry out in pain and nearly faint on the spot. The hit hadn't bene critical, but that Toxicroak clearly had a lot more experience on its side. Calling her namesake back, the Froslass hybrid watched as Spooky and Aruath managed to hit their targets, but were both hit by a Knock Off, sending them flying toward her. She managed to catch them, noticing both of them wincing with the pain they were now in. "Well done, both of you," she said. "Take it easy now, let your teammates do the rest." The two Ghost-types wanted to disobey, but when they saw the sheer number of Fighting-types, they knew they would be outmatched.
Amber could see the wave of students still trying escape, none of them stopping to help. She couldn't really blame them; nobody wanted to get caught in the crossfire between the two teams, and most of the students were young children, anyway, so there was no way she would have forced them to fight. It looked like they were on their own. Speaking of which, she noticed they were suddenly being herded to the sides, leaving Sub exposed. Oh, heck no, there was no way she was going to let that happen. Utilizing her ghostly energy, she phased out of existence, slipping through a gap to pop up behind the encroaching Falinks and Heracross and releasing a rather large Shadow Ball at the Fighting-type's backs, intending to break open a path for her teammates that were pushed to the same side as she was. Spooky and Arauth aided her by adding their own Shadow Ball and Helping Hand to the mix, empowering the attack.
Hoping to buy enough time, Amber released two more Pokemon, the only two she could safely release at this time. Lily, her new Phantump, and Gary, her Omanyte, appeared in front of her, and Amber pointed at Sub and at the Fighting-types surrounding them. "Gary, go help Ter's Dewott and use Rain Dance to help put out those flames. We need to make sure Sub can get to safety so he's not run over by that Starmobile. Lily, I know you've not had the chance to properly battle, but I need to call on your strength. Can you help me by using Leech Seed on as many of the Fighting-types as you can?" The little Ghost/Grass-type let out what sounded like a ghostly chuckle, a sparkle of mischief in her eyes as she hurried to obey, spitting seeds from her mouth as she flew over the Fighting-types threatening Amber and her friends. If the seeds were to take effect, dozens of vines would spread and entangle the encroaching Fighting-type army and begin to suck the energy out of them. Once that was done, larger seeds began to fall, courtesy of an unasked Seed Bomb from the tiny Stump Pokemon. Oh, this was going to be fun.
In all the commotion, she'd forgotten about Frost, who was now facing down a Heracross using Mega Horn. The shiny Grass/Ice-type was pelting the Bug/Fighting-type with Ice Shards and Razor Leaf attacks, and when it managed to get close enough to almost hit, it got a face full of Sheer Cold, knocking it out instantly. Looking around, he picked another target, going ham on them with Ice and Grass moves, until he was finally hit with a super-effective Arm Thrust from behind by a Hariyama that had managed to sneak up behind him. Seeing this, Amber recalled her fallen Abomasnow and hoped her teammates were faring better than she was.
Bubbles, forgotten until now, came back to rejoin her trainer, and upon seeing Ter's Dewott and Gary trying to put out the flames surrounding Sub, added her own water to the mix. Using Water Gun, she started aiming at the base of the flames, hoping it would be enough. She didn't want to use something more powerful since Ter's Dewott was already using Water Pulse, for fear it would be too much and wind up soaking Sub.
While all this was going on, a certain trainer with ebony hair appeared on scene. Brian took one look at the chaos in front of him and narrowed his eyes at what he could see. He'd just gotten back from defeating the Titan Orthworm a few days ago, and had spent that time relaxing with his team. Now he had to get right back in the fray and try to help Sub, who likely was targeted through no fault of his own. Why did Snagem always seem to end up on the wrong side of things? Giving a sigh, he nodded to Lu, who was quick to jump into the fray and start blasting enemy Pokemon away with Aura Spheres and Force Palms. Randy was next, the Dunsparce digging into the ground on his trainer's command and utilizing Coil as many times as he was able. Once that was done, he came up and utilized Stored Power, aiming to take as many Fighting-types with him as possible.
"I've about had it with the shenanigans we find ourselves in at times," he growled, not at all happy with the way things were going. "Thunderfist, go help Ter and Abby by frying those Flying-types." The Pawmi nodded and leaped into the fray to unleash his attacks on the enemy from behind, hoping to give his teammates an opening to push back. Brian released one more Pokemon, his newest acquisition, Aisha the Bagon. "I know ye don't like me, Aisha, but ye're going to have to get used to being called upon for battle," he told the Dragon-type once he saw her baleful look. "If ye don't like it, I'll take ye back where I caught ye and let ye go, but right now, we need yer help. Will ye work with me for this?" Despite her misgivings about this human, he seemed trustworthy enough, so the Bagon decided to give him a chance, and gave a grudging nod.
Brian nodded with a smile, then turned and pointed to the enemy. "Alright, then, let's show them who's boss!" he said, a grin spreading across his face as he spoke. "Use Dragon Cheer, then follow it up with Dragon Rush!" Aisha gave a loud cry, the power encouraging her teammates' Pokemon before she launched herself forward with an empowered Dragon Rush, bowling over enemy Fighting-types in her mad rush. When she came to the end of the attack, she spotted a huge metal thing and decided this would be a wonderful test of power. Using Dragon Dance twice, she shot forward with another Dragon Rush, and as she got close, she used Flamethrower, hoping to torch whatever that was and make it focus on her.

Blizzard120 Tristen was quick to notice the gesture of Atticus’s hand, then quickly looked up, seeing the Dragalge out of his camouflage and poised to bombard Tristen with its attack. The Dragalge was blasted off the ceiling by the force of the Super Effective Psychic attack, the Mock Kelp Pokemon landing on the ground just in front of Clavell's desk with an hard 'thud'. Looking over as it rose back to a standing position Atticus gave Muk a little nod, the sentient pile of sludge bellowing as it stretched its body out and closer around Clavell, to give reminder to Tristen what was at stake here. Clavell let out a frighten cry from behind his gag as he could see the Muk out of the corner of his eye now. "Fortune favors the bold, but only fools and heroes rush in. Let's find out which one you are, dear boy." Atticus declared before making a series of hand signs and disappearing in a puff of smoke, the smoke however rapidly rushing out in all directions to fill the room with pitch black smoke. Seconds after from somewhere in the smoke several shots of small Sludge Bombs were fired off at Xatu, its sender on the move inside of the smoke to try and hide its positioning. The Sludge Bombs did not have the same explosive impact as the first one as they were much smaller in size but still sent sludge splattering about once they hit something. The hum of the machines got louder.

Seeing the Muk move closer to Clavell made Tristen hesitate for a second; once again, finding himself in a position where he had a hard time fighting back because of yet another hostage. Tristen’s options were severely limited and he had the hardest time trying to figure out how to get the better of Atticus somehow. It was in that hesitation where Atticus manages to get the Smokescreen to fill the room, and while it wasn’t going to do much of anything to his Poison types, it surely was going to get the better of Xatu and Tristen. Tristen and Xatu started coughing in this thick billowing smoke, and it had no where to go other than out the door that Tristen came through.
As Xatu and Tristen coughed and wheezed trying to see, let alone get air again, the two were blasted back, albeit not as forcefully as before, by another Sludge Bomb barrage, poison going everywhere. Things were looking dire for the two of them. Tristen started to go through what he had and what he was capable of. The problem was he needed to get Muk off of Clavell. Xatu technically could do that with his psychic prowess, but with the Dragalge still on his case, on top of the Smokescreen, that made things extremely difficult. Tristen needed to take care of business in one fell swoop and Xatu just didn’t have it. Worse, these machines that were right behind him were starting to ramp up in the noise and he could feel the electricity intensifying. Something big was coming; he was short on time.
As Xatu started to push himself back up, Tristen pulled off his pack and started to dig around, pulling out what Tristen hoped was going to be an equalizer in this. Tristen didn’t imagine himself using it anytime soon, but considering the circumstances, he needed something. “‘Fortune favors the bold…’” The Manetric hybrid said within the smokescreen. “Okay, let’s test that.” Tristen said, holding out in his hand the gift from Nemona for a well fought battle. The orb in Tristen’s hand started to sparkle and once it activated, it started to shine brightly. Tristen winced, the power starting to accumulate in the palm of Tristen’s hand. The sheer force of the power collecting in the orb started to give off a harsh pressure wave, almost as if a windstorm started to form in the office. “Xatu! Here goes something!” he shouted, tossing the Tera Orb towards Xatu. The Orb triggers and there in the office, Tera Crystal started to form about Xatu. The crystal then explodes with fury, Xatu’s wings spread wide.
“Xatu!” Xatu crowed out, now gem crusted in pinkish violet crystal, and a large jewel crown on his head in a shape of an eye.
“So that’s what that’s like…” Tristen said. “Xatu! The Muk! Psyshock!” The attention now diverted to the Muk, the crystal about Xatu flashed furiously and an aura started to shroud the Muk. It was in that instant the shock came forth to wreck havoc to the sentient blob.

After Tristen pulled out of the Tera Orb and the tell tale sparkling began a voice shouted somewhere in the smoke, a very displeased one as a single, yet very loud, "NO!" echoed throughout the room. Looks like Atticus wasn't taking Tristen's 'boldness' too well. The trainer could do little but watch in horror from his hiding spot as Xatu consumed the stored Terastalization energies, taking them within before exploding outward in the form of its new crown, its psychic prowess now stronger than before. He did not factor this into his plan.
Muk was little more than a sitting duck as the smoke was blown away, not only revealing that Atticus had switched out Dragalge in the smoke with Skuntank as a plan to try and catch Tristen off guard, nor that Atticus was perched on top of a bookshelf now, but also Muk's shocked expression as it looked on in horror as the energy of the Psyshock surrounded its gelatinous form and began to squeeze it with immense pressure. For a brief second Atticus held out hope that his Muk would endure the blow but alas it could not, the power bestowed upon Xatu by the Tera Orb was far too much. Muk let out a groan before falling apart into a puddle of goo on the ground, knocked out cold.
"A Tera Orb!? How!? Skuntank! Night Slash!" Atticus roared as he would leap off the bookcase and begin to run towards Tristen. What on earth was this about?
Skuntank would respond to the attack by getting into position and then lunging towards the Terastalized Xatu, slashing at it with Dark energy empowered claws as it closed in, delivering one powerful slash with its empowered claws.
While at the same time it looked like Atticus was going for Tristen he would suddenly throw a Smoke Ball at Tristen's feet and make a sharp turn and lunge for a nearby machine, attempting to flip a switch. What was he trying to pull? Whatever he was trying to do with the machine certainly wasn't going to be good.

"Cinal, intercept them! Dragon Pulse!"
As the Team Star grunt's Cyclizar rushed for Monique, a beam of draconic energy would try to find its way between the two in a hope to at least disrupt the assault. Sol had picked a fine time to arrive in the academy's courtyard, what with all the grunts and a huge vehicle wrecking all sorts of havoc. He'd been hearing about the whole business with Team Star from Sub and Cera, but he figured there was a decent handle on things; they had gotten a couple of them to return to the academy, even... but apparently, in the moment, maybe that wasn't quite the case anyone hoped for. Certainly not if they decided to come here.
Monique would see Sol making a rush to her side as he sent out his Raboot for further support alongside a Cyclizar of his own- wait.
When'd he have one of those? He surely didn't have the time to go catch one given the titan Pokemon.
"So this is how I meet Team Star, I see. Grupo de tontos..." He remarked to himself, trying to fight his way through now that he'd drawn attention. "If any of you can get to Sub, rush to him! The rest of us, give them cover however you can! ¡Vamos!" As he got closer, it'd be seen that his Raboot had decided to ride on Cinal to cover more distance, firing off Embers from a distance before the Cyclizar slid and drifted to a stop to kick up dirt.
---
Inside the academy, Cera found herself scrambling down the halls, carrying her Smoliv and trying to ignore her cries. With hopefully most of the others already outside, her focus was finding anyone else still inside to get them to either evacuate or help out. Her mild panic meant she was struggling to find Amaranth or Aden as easily as she'd like, if not hoping for maybe a little bit of time shenanigans from the latter for once and he'd just show up. "I know the vacation kinda went Aspear-shaped, but could we please have a normal trip for once?" She asked herself, trying to calm herself enough to get a better read on who was around and keep an eye out in case someone went for an ambush.

Tristen was about to give the command to try to get Xatu defend himself but when he saw Atticus start to run at him, Tristen got at the ready. This was perfect, Tristen thought. There was no way Atticus could actually stand a straight up fight against Tristen. Tristen was watching him but then something that gave Tristen pause was when he watches the juke and a smoke bomb that came back. Tristen ended up stepping back, trying not to get another lung-full of smoke of any kind. Tristen was trying to quickly figure out, every nanosecond being crucial. Atticus was after something if he wasn’t trying to be desperate and go fistfight with Tristen…the machine? What was that thing doing anyways? On second thought, forget it, Tristen thought. Instead of trying to trying to stop, make a blind swing at Atticus through the smoke, Tristen instead quickly turned around and slammed his own hands down on the machine, electrifying himself, electrifying the machine, to fry not only the machine, but the second Atticus even touches the device, he too was going to probably lose a few heartbeats from it.
Tristen looked out the corner of his eye, Xatu was trying to get away from the likes of the Skuntank, Teleporting away to keep it at bay wasn’t feesable, Xatu needed roughly a couple of seconds to even try doing that, more than enough time to actually get clawed. Xatu couldn’t really manuever about the room like he’d care to, the room wasn’t that large, but plenty enough room for the Skuntank to keep on pursuit. As Tristen electrified the machine, Tristen saw the Skuntank finally catch up and strike Xatu with ferocity. Tristen was reminded about the tidbits he picked up from Terastalization. Xatu wasn’t necessarily fortified or anything of the sort. The Terastal phenomenon only futzed with Xatu’s typing and made the related attacks more potent. Xatu was presumably pure Psychic type, still vulnerable to the likes of the Night Slash. And worse, Psychic attacks didn’t even matter to the likes of a Skuntank. Xatu managed to get back up, but he was not feeling the greatest. “Xatu! Dazzling Gleam!” Tristen shouted. It was Tristen’s only defense for Xatu for something such as a Pokémon like this and it wasn’t that effective as he’d care for. Since after Xatu got ravaged by the Dome Ace’s Salamence, the moment that Tristen found out that Xatu could learn such an attack, Tristen didn’t hesitate, and it had the added benefit of taking on a Dark type as well in a pinch. Hopefully it can stave off Skuntank for at least a few more seconds…

Reno would sigh as he saw the reaction from Eri, feeling an all-too familiar sensation of disappointment that smash things was the first and only response to a hard question. Unfortunately, that familiarity made him slower to respond than he perhaps should have been, an angry ball of fur and hatred manifesting itself in front of him to throw a punch. "What did you do to your Primeape?" Was all Reno could manage to ask before the punch he let fly over his shoulder....detonated for lack of a better term, sending him flying off of the Starmobile and into the crowd of Team Star grunts alongside the other Snagems. He would need a minute to collect his thoughts and energies after that Ghost-powered bell ringer of a punch hit.

While there was some part of her mind that was having the sudden thought that she should be indignant about something, Leslie was a little preoccupied with the swarm of simians that was currently beating her black and blue. She needed to find some sort of out from this because an opening wasn't just going to present itself for her on a silver platter. Thankfully, while the Mankeys could keep coordinated between themselves, they couldn't keep her limbs restrained reliably. Managing to sneak her hand onto a Pokeball for a second before her arm was ripped out of her bag, she would let out a roar as she threw her arms out to try and send the Mankeys flying off of her before the Close Combat began again. Which it did immediately as her arms hit full extension, two of the ungrateful creatures kicking her wrists to make her drop her retrieved Pokeball and her hammer before they attempted to resume their oppression of the Tinkatuff hybrid.
Attempted was the correct word, as the Pokeball opened itself and its passenger made himself known very quickly. Leslie's shadow would suddenly extend up into the air, a pair of pink eyes staring from the depths before a flurry of ghostly slashes would erupt out of the shadows and scatter the Mankey horde off of their trainer. Extending her arms again, the pair of handles for her Doublade, Chulainn, would quickly seat themselves in her hands. "Oh its been a while since I've done this. Chulainn, lets reintroduce ourselves." Leslie said, watching as two of the Mankey got up from the ground to once again charge towards her.
Ducking down as the first Mankey came flying in, the Cross Chop it had been aiming for Leslie's head would instead find itself clashing with one of the swords fruitlessly. Slashing forward at the other Mankey, Leslie would watch as an orange-brown glow enveloped the Doublade before the Sacred Sword slammed into the Mankey. Unfortunately, the Fighting type took the attack a little too well and managed to wrap itself around her Doublade. Showing even more frustration with the sudden onslaught their easily taken care of prey had unleashed, the Mankey would unleash a Stomping Tantrum that slammed the one blade into the ground and sent the other one flying out of Leslie's hand to try and position their sheathes to help weather the assault. Looking to the ground for anything that could help, the Stomping Tantrum would continue to drive Chulainn into the cobblestones of the street as the Mankey did its best to bury the offending swords. And then a pink, glowing bludgeon manifested itself in the side of its head, sending the Fighting type flying off into the distance.
"Hows that for Playing Rough, you useless furball!?" Leslie taunted, the other remaining Mankey issuing its rebuttal with a Low Kick into Leslie's shins that sent her tumbling to the ground and winding up with her hammer dropping on top of her. Pulling himself out of the ground, Chulainn would be quick to respond to the assault with an Iron Head that slammed the Mankey into the ground. Dragging herself up to her feet, Leslie would now find that her little solo tantrum had managed to give the oncoming Falinks phalanx time to begin encroaching in on her and the others. And while there was some aid coming from Amber, the numbers were not being deterred as well as might be desired. "Mauri! Drill Peck through the lines! Chulainn, time to see how well we can change partners!" Leslie shouted, sending her hammer slamming into the ground to scatter a few of the Falinks before throwing her right hand into the air to catch one of the Doublae handles. Swinging her arm back down, the sword that wasn't in her hand would swing around with the extra length offered into more of the Falinks with an Aerial Ace, a sharp whistle echoing across the battlefield at the speed it achieved with all the power and distance it covered. And as a few of the other Falinks began to form up a flank to charge in and lead an offensive to force back this new monstrous oppressor, they would only hear a bird's cry before a brown spiral punched its way through their ranks and destroyed whatever unit cohesion they had.
As more and more of the Falinks began to get drawn into stabbing at and getting smacked around by the flurry of bludgeons, slashes, and feathers, it would hopefully offer the others a clearer opportunity to get to Sub.

Slowly taking in the fight as the 'Beta maneuver' was executed, Reno could feel a little itch in the back of his mind. Like, sure, they could be somewhat coordinated, but the grunts were way too coordinated with these maneuvers for this to not have been drilled into them in some fashion. And yet, there was Monique, left completely ignored until she was completely out in the open. So were they so organized that they could flawlessly execute a division of opponents to keep what could be easily seen as the biggest threat isolated or were they so incompetent they missed an blatantly obvious hybrid in their midst until it was glaringly obvious?
....a blatantly obvious Dark type hybrid.
Oh, this story had a very obvious conclusion to reach.
Sparing a glance towards where Sub was corralled in and seeing the flurry of Snagems making plays to try and get him out, including Sol who decided now was the time to be an anime protagonist, Reno felt confident that situation was handled. Tuning his telepathy to his Alakazam on the rooftops, he would send a quick message. 'Start meditating. I get the feeling I'm gonna need the extra oomph.' Waiting a moment before feeling the telltale strengthening of his energy as Kaiden bolstered him, Reno would turn his mental focus to the most likely target he could prod to get a response from who he really wanted to locate. 'Hi there, miss. I'm sure you didn't mean to throw me so callously from your car there, but I'd like something in recompense. Hows about you make sure this little conversation gets to whoever is actually coordinating this show before I start randomly going telepathic on the rest of these cronies until I strike gold?'

It all happened so fast, Atticus didn't see Tristen touch the machine until it was too late, nor did he register he had electrified it until he placed his own hand on it. In that moment where both Tristen and Atticus touched the machine sparks began to fly and the machines all around them began to shake violently, as if responding to one another, or something else. Atticus of course screamed out in pain as he was electrocuted and unable to remove his hand as he was now one with the current. Tristen also would realize he couldn't remove his hand but for different reasons, watching as sparks flew. Something was wrong, very wrong. The Skuntank tried to keep up its attack, hoping to keep Xatu on its toes and for several seconds it looked like the skunk was successful in doing that, that was until the Terastalized Psychic type unleashed a blinding flash of Fairy energy in the form of pink light, the Dark type reeling back with a pain filled hiss as it took the full force of the attack. While it harmed it considerably it wasn't enough to take it down, but it was enough to make it stumble for a few seconds in blindness, and now that it was trainer was preoccupied it wasn't going to be receiving any commands any time soon. Though something told everyone in this room that this battle was already over. The machines would bounce and whine further, bolts of electricity cracking in the air as the devices went wild. At first the electricity was erratic, flying all over the place, until eventually they focusing on and flowing into Tristen himself, his Lightning Rod ability drawing the electricity in. However, it wasn't just electricity flowing into Tristen, but also the power being generated by the chi converters themselves. You see, the nature of chi converters was this; they first required a power source, usually Elemental Gems, however other sources which include [Shadow] Pokemon or hybrids themselves which can be used on sources though this of course was dangerous and one reason why the devices were considered immoral. The machine would then convert the energy supplied by the source into a form usable for the recipient but again, this had its draw backs as it would often overload the recipient, burn them out once they were done, or even create a dependency. All in all they were dangerous to use as they allowed one to surpass their capabilities but always at a price. It might click for Tristen a second or two into this moment what was happening, he had triggered the chi converter and it was now bestowing its generated energy upon him. But not only was it being fueled by the Elemental Gems contained within them but thanks to the proximity of all the devices and the enclosed room coupled with the bolts of electricity creating circuits it was now drawing from the biggest source of energy nearby; the Terastalized Xatu. The power granted to Xatu was being stolen away by the chi converter and given to Tristen, filling the boy with a tremendous amount of power, his fur standing on ends, becoming thick and pointer, the hair on his hair growing several inches as if it was trying to contain the raw power. It would all accumulate in a series of explosions as all the chi converters were overloaded and exploded, creating thick clouds of smoke which quickly filled the room and after the last one exploded silence would fall over Clavell's smoke filled office. Somewhere in the smoke was a fainted Atticus and both of his Pokemon, taken out by being electrocuted or by the explosions. Clavell was fine, still tied to his chair and choking on the smoke but okay. Xatu likely got caught in the explosions as well, no longer Terastalized even if it survived. As for Tristen...he has felt a way he hasn't since he evolved. The power throughout the academy suddenly went out, the academy going dark as Tristen accidentally took the academy off the grid.

While everyone else was currently dealing with the chaos of the sudden gang warfare, one certain Snagem was heading down towards the basement. She was in the middle of making some modifications to her school jacket when the attack came, so, it had taken her a moment to get herself set up, during which, she got a message that asked her to investigate the basement. When she caught a glimpse of what was going on out there, she understood why. The city was surrounded on three sides by water, and the mountain range that surrounded the giant crater was to the north, so simply tunneling in was nigh impossible, especially for school kids. No, something had to be going on in the school, and since she hadn’t engaged yet, she was apparently the perfect candidate to check it out. As the woman rushed down, she checked to make sure she had some of her items. The broken staff pieces into her newly sewn holders? Check. SNAG in one of the normal jacket pockets? Check. Staff head in her belt loop to use as a makeshift mace? Also check. Finally, Snag Glove on her only hand? Also check, and she was probably an idiot if she had forgotten that.
Once the Snagem had gotten down to the basement door she’d bring out Sarlaac, nodding to the doorknob. “Alright, Sarlaac, think you can unlock it? Kind of like old times in Orre when you were a Sandyghast.” The sentient sand castle gave her a look that asked if she was seriously asking that question before extending one of her towers, letting the sand fill in the keyhole until the lock clicked and knob moved. “Wonderful. Return for now, you’ll probably be coming back out soon enough.” With the Palossand returned, she’d open the door just enough to let herself in, then closed it as quietly as possible. Time to see what was going down here.
----------------
Crystal would be standing on a street corner in the center of the the city, looking at the beautiful battle field and eating a parfait, when the sudden explosion caused the hybrid to jump, on two different accounts. A loud explosion shouldn't be happening here, and then also the energy blast she could sense as well, from the same area. She looked down her spilled treat, her face grimacing, then looked towards the school, noting the power looked out now, and some of the windows were blown out. "Can't ever have anything nice now, can we? Chaos will ever follow any iteration of Snagem," she'd mutter to herself, taking off towards the school. No matter what was going on, she was going to back up her friends.

Perhaps it was his rage, or his inexperience with pokemon battles. He retracted his pokemon other than his steelix and the psyduck. "You two!" as he pointed to sub "Extinguish the firespin!" as the psyduck hopped on the head of the steelix and he stood straight up where the psyduck used bubble beam and hoped that it would hit the fire spin, and with him there, the psyduck slid off the back afterward and the steelix slammed into the rest of the goons fighter type pokemon. Deo chuckled "Timber!" all the while he was focusing more on the food...no battle. Why was he thinking of food now? He just ate! Seeing the chaos, this brought him back to a shootout between 2 team galactic grunts and his squad in his early days. The noise was similar, but not the same. He quickly snapped back when the power went out, and with this he used his x-ray vision to look. He saw a spirit with power fluxuating, and the grunts. This lead him to hear something, and as he returned to his normal vision and back to the battle. He swore he heard latin and thought "somebody aint going out in a strecher"
It occurred to him that many grunts were being beaten and left without pokemon. He would grab the grunts who lost by the ear and pulled them to the side, away from the battle. He would then yell "Sit down, stay there, you will be safe." He would have his psyduck move the knocked out pokemon to that same area.
This was all part of a days work for him.
