here we have the lanscape, something byzantine style lacked, still its' pretty flat, but it's there, the rock in the background leads the eye right to christ, some of the figures, like john the bapsits actually create arrows to guide you. This type of movement is sorta new, italo byzantine style. A little advanced.
lamentation, gitto, 1305, pauda italy, arena chapel, scrovengi, 1305.... fresco (it's on the wall)
lanscape, the leading of the eye, it's the end of the byzantine style, leading into the next movement of art.
I have a feeling he'll beon the test

this was the one that was paraded around town in celebration of it's completion.

mary is the queen of heaven... relaxed the ttrict forntality and rigidity of the figures in the typical byzantine icon and iconostasis, they're turning and looking in differnt directions.
soft outlines, byzantine usually had hard outlines the drapery falls loosley, not mathmaticlaly.
the object itself is holy.
virgin and child enthroned with saints, maesta (which is a prayer/magisty) in the siena chapel, 1308.... tempera on wood. Gold background yeah but the figures are softer and less mathmatical, with soft outlines and curves and more movement then byzantine style.... not as strict... mary is represented as the queen of heaven.. this was paraded around the streets of siena when it was completed and is a holy object (as an alterpiece in the siena cathedral)

spatial illusions,Lorenzetti were students of Duccio. Action, movement, prospe ctive.
Both brothers died in the black death. 1338

the outside shows the patrons, vodicous vyd (who probably comissioned this to get less time in progatory)
detailed landscape, grisalle (painted to look like statues).

illuminosity, placement on a central axis, teh boarders of the fabric are detailed and illuminous, its' 3 dementional, the crown of god is on this one i think... 1432 (not gona remember that one crying )
