That's lame, but I have a few unanswered questions? Can you only learn jutsu that is your element? Because if so I might switch to fire. The only reason I want lightning is for Chidori later.

The answer is yes because it wouldn't make sense if you learn a jutsu you can't use.
EDIT: You can choose a secondary element later on

SO! Changing topic! Quote: The Upcomming Chunin Exams. There is no date set as of yet, but how soon do you think you would be ready? Which senior instructor would you ask to nominate you?
