cause I am thinking about making an int buffing skill and didn't know if it would work how I was thinking it would, but I may just stick with the normal skill I picked up.

I'm no mod, but this is how I saw ava doing it...
But I'll put it in terms for Aya and Phaeton

Aya:
647 - 300 = 347 ==> +34%
Therfor:
To succeed; roll a 84 or lower
To secceed by 20%; roll a 68 or lower
To secceed by 40%; roll a 51 of lower

Phaeton:
810 - 300 = 510 ==> +51%
Therfor:
Anything would make him succeed normally (except for a 100 which is auto fail I think, don't quote me on that... ask a mod for that one...)
To succeed by 20%; roll a 80 or lower
To succeed by 40%; roll a 60 or lower

So there, that's my thoughts anyways from what I observed Ava using and from what I understand DBL stating in the first post of the Event thread. just thought I'd try to be helpful while online ^.^

Comeplay your much closer but you got it wrong near the last step (which is understandable since you said you didn't understand that).

See the only reason I subtracted was because the result was negative, if you have a positive result after the vs then you add.
You have done combat in the other guild right? It's nigh the same system just tweaked ever so slightly.

Okay how to simplify.

You have a base 50% chance to do anything.
This is assuming you have 0 in a stat, 0 accuracy jutsu/items your using to perform an action, and 0 buffs vs a task with 0 difficulty.

Now those variables will never be 0 obviously.
So you take your total of:
1. The stat that applies x2 (for awareness this would be INT)
+
2. The accuracy of the Jutsu or Item you are using to perform the action.
+
3. Any buffs that would apply.

Take this total result and add it to 500 (remember 10% of a number is it's % value on the 1D100, IE 200 is 20%, 220 would be 22%, thus 500 is your base 50%).

So let's stop here before we compare what your vs is.
-You have 192 intelligence.
192 x2 = 384
-You're using a Jutsu, Byakugen, it's accuracy of 5
(the only real benefit is that if someone was literally invisible or had an object between you and them then Byakugen would allow that awareness check to see them anyways where as someone not using something similar wouldn't even get to make such a check.)
-You are granted +105 awarness from "calm mind spirit"
-You are granted +100 from Hyuuga Sight (a natural buff that doesn't count towards buff limits).

So your total is 384 + 5 + 105 + 100 = 594
Your base is 50% or in other words 500.
So 500 + 594 gives you a 1,094.
In other words this would give you a 109% chance of spotting someone that had 0 stealth.
However in this case the "stealth" for the town is 300.
So 1,094 - 300 = 794. (A 79% chance)

This means you have to roll 79 or lower to succeed your checks.

That sucks

Step 2:
Aya Hyuuga - Calm Mind, Calm Spirit (105) + Hyuuga Sight (100) + Tracking Bugs (50)
Phaeton Yamanaka - Glasses (300)

Step 3:
Aya Hyuuga - 196(x2) = 392
Phaeton Yamanaka - 255(x2) = 510

Step 4:
Aya Hyuuga - 597/647
Phaeton Yamanaka - 810

Step 5:
Aya Hyuuga - 597/647 - 300 = 297/347
Phaeton Yamanaka - 810 - 300 = 510

Step 6:
Aya Hyuuga - 500 + 297/347 = 797/847 || 79%/84%
Phaeton Yamanaka - 500 + 510 = 1010 || 101%
