I really hate ghosts.
Especially the ones that come in the form of an ex-girlfriend, stopping by to say how 'happy' she is with someone else... dangling a carrot of false ********

So I bought spore, and was kind of wondering how it would be, when my computer puts up an error message telling me my Video card wasn't compatible, which kinda made me wonder since it's an ATI that has double the required speed.
BUT it doesn't have pixel shader 2.0 compatibility....so i have no idea what to do, since it's a new game I can't return it. sweatdrop

HonoRaven anyone willing or capable of showing me how to write a cover letter for a resume? sweatdrop Honestly, I just searched for examples on google. Its something I don't bother with on my resumes, because it just seems to be reiterating the same exact information as the resume itself. It just seems... silly to me, is all sweatdrop

Rain Yupa Its something I don't bother with on my resumes, because it just seems to be reiterating the same exact information as the resume itself. Not necessarily. In the cover letter you've got the chance to state why you choose company x, what you're expecting of the job, in what ways you could contribute to the team etc. @Crystal: If you like I could pm you a cover letter I wrote last year when I applied to a few US companies. - Aside from that, you can find good examples at monster.com

Lucind Varhetel Not necessarily. In the cover letter you've got the chance to state why you choose company x, what you're expecting of the job, in what ways you could contribute to the team etc. This is EXACTLY why cover letters are useful... If nothing else its a good way to make the HR director understand your motivation more so than 'I WANT A JOB, NOW GIMMME!*' It also make the resume look cleaner and more professional when printed. *Even if that's really what you're thinking...

Well, I should specify about myself: I'm the type of person who is happy as long as I am busy and productive. I don't care what I'm doing (within reason). So, between one company to another, its not that big of a difference to me. And I don't feel like writing a whole new cover letter each time sweatdrop

PC games contain reg/serial codes that are used to register the product online. Once a newly purchased PC game is opened, it becomes virtually worthless on sellback because there is no guarantee that you didn't already take the product's key code. Thus, why Tenma is SOL... unless he thinks the game worth enough to buy a compatible video card.

I thought the codes were to ensure people weren't mass-producing them with the same code. For instance, I thought I could install my version of Spore onto more than one computer if I was so inclined, and that would be okay because I could only ever have one computer running it at one time (one disc).
But when burned copies all play off the same code at the same time, then it alerts the company hosting the game...
[EDIT] I could be wrong, of course, but its just what I was told way back when what they were for. Perhaps things have changed since then?

Also, should I be alarmed that Sir Fenix made a guest appearance in my dream last night? I was hiking down the east coast, which was for some reason the west coast because the ocean was to the west, and I took a town portal back to my town to grab a few supplies I forgot a few days in (chalk and a compass). But for some reason it closed and I had to get back to where I left off, and he drove me and another internet friend down there in this like, hulking S.U.V., so I could continue hiking from where I left off.
... you're a really bad driver, Fenix. neutral
