Somhairle So.. I like how McCain has absolutely nothing to do with the economy. And how, even if he had the power to fix it in any way other than voting for anything that may happen to pass through the Senate, he has admitted he has no idea about the economy. The American people are ******** GULLIBLE. And I like how Obama is turning into a <******** toolbox.

As for politics, I as a whole think it's gotten to be rather disgusting. I can tell you, I come from a family of engineers, people with no concept of politics, and I'd much sooner trust one of them in office- straight forward and practical for the most part, and most of them have to be willing to take advice from experts in other fields when going outside their expertise. Much sooner someone like that than some moron with a silk tongue, if I had my way.
But as is I don't understand why people get so carried up in all of this. The politicking their doing is so blatant it's like child's play; the Democratic vote was split between Obama and Clinton, and I knew a great deal of women who were jumping out of their skins to see Clinton in office who were unable to offer any reason as to why except that "you're just being sexist to not want a woman in office". So once she drops out, there's going to be a big group of her supporters who haven't moved over to the other democratic candidate yet- McCain picks up Palin and he grabs a hefty chunk of those feminism-based female votes.
I've been paying too little attention to their campaigns out of spite, but if it's anything like the last one I paid attention to, it has more to do with throwing ideals at people without any hint of having a plan of action to do so, and abortion rights, than how they'll actually run the country.
I say we fudge Jello's paperwork to say he's 40-something and put him in office. Entirely coincidentally leaving Nice Guys without a fourth. And Ebris with space fever.

hum... an FYI for all about a potential Virus running around, apparently it is being sent via a bot MSN message on your contacts list containing an IMG transfer or link labeled "Postcard from Hallmark"
apparently it is set to crash and fry your C drive if you open it*shrugs* could be a hoax, but just in case.... sweatdrop

I'll be on the lookout for that, Hono. 3nodding That helps me at home and in my line of work. Not to say that our clients are dumb, but... I mean, the following conversation happens at least twice a week if not more:
"I think there's something wrong with my computer."
"Have you downloaded or installed anything recently?"
"No."
Cue an error-filled startup and a filesharing program like Limewire, Ares, etc., coupled with absolutely no virus or spyware protection.
Oh. And "Microsoft Antivirus 2008" is spyware. Ironic, ain't it?
That got to be a little more rant-y than I expected it to.
Also, sounds like Pocket is voting for Nader.

I think Obama is a good Senator, and he has the capability to be a leader. But, he's too false and full of empty promises. I loved Biden. I was going to vote Biden when he was still running. But nope. Biden dropped, so I'm moving back to Scotland where I have a garaunteed job.

Anarchy in America. s'all I gotta say. if people aren't good enough to maintain a comfortable, fair world, then you know what? It's for the best. People can bash on America, they can Bash on China, Africa, etc. but what it all boils down to really is that there are people in this world who honestly need a corrupted world and it's flat out sickening. I'll continue to beleive in the power of the human heart and hope that everyone comes to their senses, but I can already see someone bashing me for that beleif.
